A Cutie Spoiled by Her Seven Uncles-Chapter 632: Mr. Wu and the Crystal Ball in Little Suisui’s Hand
Chapter 632: Chapter 632: Mr. Wu and the Crystal Ball in Little Suisui’s Hand
"What?"
A shocked Xie Pan’Er immediately took Xiaosuisui into her arms, intending to retreat to her room.
"We should hide in the room and leave Mr. Wu to the National Master!"
Princess Ata also grew worried and chimed in, "Yes, we should retreat to the room. The task of dealing with Mr. Wu should be left to the National Master and your Seventh Uncle."
However, Xiaosuisui refused. "I won’t go. I want to see who this Mr. Wu is. Seventh Uncle has tried to catch him several times and failed each time. I must see him clearly for myself!"
Xiaosuisui didn’t want to return to her room. Neither Princess Ata nor Xie Pan’Er could persuade her.
Suddenly, the cool voice of the National Master pierced their ears.
"Since he’s appeared, he should show himself."
Xie Pan’Er and Princess Ata both instinctively turned to the side, greeting the National Master in low voices.
"National Master!"
The National Master glanced at them indifferently, his gaze finally falling on Xiaosuisui.
"Princess, please retire to your chamber. I fear there will be a fierce battle here soon, and I wouldn’t want you to be inadvertently harmed."
Still, Xiaosuisui refused. "I’m not going back to my room! This Mr. Wu is too wicked. I want to see what kind of creature he is!"
At her words, the National Master’s brows furrowed.
"Princess, don’t be willful. Beware, during the fray, I wouldn’t be able to ensure your safety. If anything happens to you, I shudder to think how I would explain to His Majesty."
"My foster father, the Emperor, won’t need your explanation. I can protect myself."
"Little child, you really think highly of yourself! You underestimate me."
As the voice emerged, Xiaosuisui instinctively muttered, "Mr. Wu!"
Xiaosuisui was certain that the owner of the voice was Mr. Wu; she had once heard him speak in a restaurant in the capital.
"Is it really Mr. Wu? You didn’t mishear?" Xie Pan’Er stood beside Xiaosuisui, holding her tightly, and whispered.
"Yes! It’s him. I remember his voice!"
Just then, Ji Youzhi and the Emperor also approached, their faces solemn as they looked outside.
Suddenly, Princess Ata shrieked, "Look, what is that?"
It was Princess Ata, pointing out toward a spot of dense fog and low visibility over the sea. There, a slender man entirely enveloped in a black robe and cloak stood upon a column of water as thick as a barrel.
"It’s a person!" Xiaosuisui added.
"Is...is that Mr. Wu?" Xie Pan’Er voiced her doubt.
"HUMPH! Since he’s shown himself, his escape is no longer up to him!" the Emperor declared with a confident flick of his folding fan, his eyes filled with determination. He had decided: today, he would capture this Mr. Wu!
"Everyone, I’ve come to see you off on your final journey. If you have any last words, say them now. If I’m in a good mood, when I return to the Central Plains, I’ll be sure to carry them out for you!"
"There’s no need for Mr. Wu to concern himself with us. We won’t be needing last words in this lifetime. You, however, who always act alone and have made so many enemies—I think you’re the one who should always be prepared with your last words!"
The National Master suddenly levitated, stepping forward in mid-air as if on solid ground, his eyes piercing the darkness ahead. Their powerful auras clashed, neither giving way.
Even their words were sharp and confrontational!
"HEH HEH! I always thought the National Master’s prowess was limited to his martial skills. I never expected his tongue to be equally sharp. What a pity! After today, National Master, you’ll no longer be able to show off your rhetorical skills."
"You wish to kill me, the National Master? You’re still too inexperienced!"
The National Master sneered. As he raised his sleeve, a silver dragon suddenly soared into the sky from the water. Its head held high, baring fangs and claws, it charged towards the black-clad Mr. Wu.
"Drawing a dragon from the void! The National Master is incredible!" Princess Ata exclaimed, her eyes wide and sparkling like stars, looking at the National Master with sheer admiration.
"The National Master’s power has advanced again; he can draw a dragon from the void," Ji Youzhi whispered into the Emperor’s ear.
The Emperor’s face was solemn as he stared intently into the void.
"Mr. Wu hasn’t made his move yet! Keep an eye on his movements and protect Xiaosuisui."
"Quick, look! Mr. Wu has made his move!" Ji Youzhi’s eyes widened as he pointed to where Mr. Wu stood. "Look, Your Majesty, it’s a Black Dragon!"
Mr. Wu similarly waved his hand, and an ink-black dragon appeared above his head.
The Black Dragon, also baring fangs and claws, was ROARING as it writhed in the air, tangling with the silver dragon conjured by the National Master.
"EH! What’s that in Mr. Wu’s hand? Look, he seems to have a crystal ball! The Black Dragon he conjured seems to be controlled by that crystal ball!" Xie Pan’Er said, pointing at the crystal ball Mr. Wu held.
Xiaosuisui followed her gaze to Mr. Wu’s right hand. Indeed, he was holding a small crystal ball, the size of a fist.
Seeing this crystal ball, Xiaosuisui blinked. Suddenly remembering something, she instinctively clutched her small purse.
Once upon a time, she seemed to have snatched the Magic Wand of the Great Wizard of Nanjiang! And the crystal on that Great Wizard’s Magic Wand...
As Xiaosuisui pondered this, her attention was drawn to Mr. Wu’s crystal ball.
She didn’t notice Li Yanyan, who was cowering and stealthily crawling from an inconspicuous corner towards them.
"What’s the matter?" Xie Pan’Er whispered, sensing Xiaosuisui’s unusual behavior.
Xiaosuisui shook her head. "It’s nothing. I just remembered that the Magic Ball Mr. Wu has in his hand—I have one too!"
Her words reached the ears of those nearby, and the Emperor suddenly recalled something.
At the Altar in Nanjiang, during the ritual, his precious daughter had casually mentioned wanting the crystal ball on the Great Wizard’s Magic Wand.
Later, that Great Wizard’s Magic Wand had flown into her hand of its own accord.
The Emperor couldn’t help the twitch at the corner of his mouth as he said, "My precious daughter, don’t tell me you want Mr. Wu’s crystal ball as well?"
Xiaosuisui shook her head. "His isn’t as good as the one I have!"
As she spoke, she took out a large, round crystal ball from her purse and held it in her hands.
The moment the crystal ball in Xiaosuisui’s hand appeared, it seemed to possess some sort of gravitational pull, for its appearance instantly affected the crystal ball in Mr. Wu’s hand.
A thin silver gleam escaped from the crystal ball in Mr. Wu’s hand, heading straight for the crystal ball in Xiaosuisui’s hand.
Meanwhile, Xiaosuisui’s crystal ball also emitted a faint white light, and it was actually absorbing the wisps of white light streaming from Mr. Wu’s crystal ball.
Seeing this, everyone was stunned.
Especially Mr. Wu; he was so astonished he let out an "EH?" and exclaimed in disbelief, "How is this possible? What’s happening? Why has my Crystal Magic Sphere suddenly stopped obeying me?"
