A Righteous Demon Girl and the Angel She’ll Never Meet-Chapter 16 : Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Chapter 16 : Excuse me, you two continue
Intent on quickly catching the culprit, Iphilia naturally had no idea what Aimiya was thinking.
As soon as she left the apartment building, she flew straight toward the western suburbs.
In fact, if Iphilia followed her usual course of action, when faced with such a vile and clueless case, she would have immediately returned to Hell and used the powers there to follow the karmic chain of the deceased’s soul to directly pinpoint the perpetrator.
The only drawback to this approach was—it took too much time.
Moreover, this case involved the Bloodkin, so going back to Hell would clearly not be as fast as directly seeking out that person.
“Arrived!”
As a grand, retro-styled Western mansion gradually came into view, Iphilia knew she had reached her destination.
It was a large mansion wedged into the rocky mountain, its scale so magnificent and style so classical that it resembled a castle inhabited by medieval royalty.
The pitch-black wall surface , built from unknown stone, featured a grand rose window at its center, emitting an eerie glow.
The stained glass, primarily orange-red, deepened in color from top to bottom, like a splendid red lotus quietly blooming.
The mansion’s gate was tightly shut, entwined with countless thorny vines bearing sharp spines, as if warning outsiders: Strangers, keep out.
Such a majestic and classical structure, if revealed to the world, would undoubtedly attract countless curious and awestruck gazes.
Unfortunately, due to the cognitive interference magic enveloping most of the suburban rocky mountain, even if an ordinary person were lucky enough to stumble upon the mansion, they would absolutely fail to notice its existence, let alone enter it.
Only honored guests on good terms with the mansion’s owner were qualified to step inside.
Iphilia went straight to the mansion’s gate, skillfully pulling out a pure gold key embedded with a ruby in its center, exquisitely crafted, from her dress pocket.
She inserted it into the gate’s lock and gave it a gentle twist! With a crisp “click,” the thorny vines covering the entire gate melted away like snow in midsummer.
In her urgency, Iphilia quickly pushed open the gate and rushed toward the mansion’s main chamber.
At the same time, a red-haired girl dressed as a maid was sweeping fallen leaves in the mansion’s courtyard.
Noticing someone intruding, the girl looked up in surprise, only to see Iphilia, her expression urgent, rushing straight into the main chamber without even stopping to greet her.
“Miss Iphilia? Why are you…”
“Sorry, Lola! I have urgent business with Nolen!”
“Wait, hold on! Her Highness the Princess is not in a convenient state right now…”
The girl named Lola hurriedly tried to stop Iphilia, but to her dismay, Iphilia didn’t hear a word and darted into the mansion like a puff of smoke, leaving Lola standing alone, her expression frozen, swaying in the breeze.

Iphilia climbed three floors in one breath.
Without pausing to catch her breath, she followed her memory and pushed open the door to the mansion owner’s bedroom.
“Nolen! Something’s happened! I need your… help…?”
The moment she entered, Iphilia was stunned by the scene before her: on a luxuriously decorated princess bed, two disheveled girls were entangled, one atop the other.
The girl pinned beneath appeared only about ten years old, slightly younger than Iphilia.
She had waist-length silver hair and large, crimson eyes brimming with tears.
She wore an expensive-looking gothic dress loosely draped over her, exuding an air of delicate vulnerability that was deeply captivating.
The white-haired girl on top also appeared youthful, but unlike the silver-haired girl below, she wore a black leather collar around her neck, connected to a slender chain, looking utterly pitiful.
Upon Iphilia’s sudden intrusion, both girls visibly stiffened.
The silver-haired girl, already flushed with embarrassment, instantly turned into a “steaming maiden,” her teary eyes looking as though she might burst into a “waa” of crying at any moment.
The girl on top, meanwhile, wore a displeased expression, glaring at Iphilia as if to say, “You’ve ruined my moment.”
“Uh… I’ve disturbed you. Please, carry on… carry on…”
Iphilia coughed awkwardly twice, then slowly backed out of the room, slamming the door shut with a “bang”! The next moment, the silver-haired girl’s scream of ashamed to the point of despair echoed from within…

“Ahem, Miss Iphilia, what did I say?”
“Sorry, Lola, I’ll be more careful next time. It was my fault for interrupting the lovebirds…”
In the mansion’s living room, Iphilia sat across from the maid named Lola and the two girls, now properly dressed.
Lola spoke to Iphilia with a hint of exasperation, while Iphilia, visibly embarrassed, occasionally glanced at the still-blushing silver-haired girl and the white-haired girl beside her, who was staring at Iphilia with a look of regret.
“Damn it, Big Sister Iphilia! You ruined my moment again! I was
this close
! I could’ve devoured Nolen-chan completely, damn it, damn it, damn it!!!”
The white-haired girl was clearly upset about Iphilia’s intrusion, her little face puffed up with anger, so adorable it made one want to pinch her cheeks.
“Wah! Lina, stop talking! It’s so embarrassing…”
The silver-haired girl beside her, on the other hand, was far more timid.
She cautiously tugged at the white-haired girl’s skirt hem, her large, crimson eyes staring pitifully at her.
“You don’t need to cover for me, Nolen-chan. I was too impulsive this time and accidentally interrupted your moment…”
Iphilia put on a deeply remorseful expression, but the silver-haired girl, Nolen, panicked at the sight of it, hurriedly trying to explain herself.
“No, really, it’s not like that, Iphie! Don’t misunderstand!!! We really weren’t doing anything weird…”
Perhaps due to excessive nervousness and embarrassment, Nolen’s words became incoherent. Seeing Iphilia’s “I understand” expression, her nose stung, and she reverted to her teary-eyed state.
“Wuu… wuu… we really weren’t, Nolen is a good girl, Nolen wouldn’t do that kind of thing… waaah—”
Finally, Nolen burst into a “waa” of tears, sobbing while still trying to defend herself.
The maid beside her hurriedly pulled out a handkerchief to wipe her tears, softly comforting her.
“There, there, Her Highness the Princess is a good girl, don’t cry…”
Sigh, Iphilia suddenly began to wonder if coming to Nolen was the right choice after all.
This Bloodkin princess was, as always, such a delicate little thing…
