A Righteous Female Knight Never Compromises!-Chapter 36 : Scumbug deserves Kick

{Chapter 36} Scumbug deserves Kick
In the morning, Anna, the rare scoundrel of the Garland family who had just woken up, lay wrapped in her blanket pondering the meaning of life.
Whatever the meaning of life might be, at least beside her, Louise was sleeping peacefully, breathing evenly, like a little cat that had failed to resist and had no choice but to submit.
Anna didn’t know what kind of storm would come when Louise woke up, but for now, she could at least enjoy this moment of tranquility.
Suddenly, there was a soft knock on Anna’s door, so quiet that it seemed the person was afraid of waking someone up.
Anna casually draped a towel that had fallen at the foot of the bed over herself, tiptoed out of bed, and opened the door.
“Mmm…”
Before she could say anything, the person at the door covered Anna’s mouth.
Fortunately, it wasn’t a cork, towel, or anything like that, it was a human.
…Though the last thought seemed a bit off.
After releasing Anna, Helga’s face was also flushed.
“Did you have fun last night?”
“It was fun, but I don’t know what to do when Lou wakes up.”
“What do you mean?”
“I wanted to settle things once and for all… so I told Lou about what happened between us the other day.”
At these words, the smile on Helga’s face vanished.
“Anna, you really…”
Helga hadn’t expected Anna to spill everything. She covered her forehead with her hand.
“You’re not just digging a hole for yourself, you’re digging one for me too…”
“It had to be said eventually… Lou’s all bark and no bite, it’ll be fine.”
‘If Lou gets angry, I’ll just kiss her!’
At least, that’s what Anna thought.
“…Whatever, it’s your call. It had to be said sooner or later,” Helga sighed deeply. “I just wasn’t mentally prepared yet.”
“I think you should’ve been prepared earlier.”
“I’m out of here. You stay with her for now.”
Helga hummed lightly, kissed Anna on the cheek, and then gently closed the door for her.
Anna lay back down on the bed, wrapping herself in the still-warm blanket. The autumn air was a bit chilly.
If she waited any longer, the warmth would fade… and even wrapped in the blanket, she’d feel cold for a while.
Looking at Louise beside her, Anna could only smile bitterly.
“Mmm…”
It wasn’t until the sunlight hit Louise’s face that she began to stir.
Having stayed up until three or four in the morning, waking up this early wasn’t ideal for Louise.
Still half-asleep, she tightened the blanket around her, feeling the warmth beside her, and instinctively curled up into Anna’s arms.
But once awake, she was awake.
Her eyes opened in a daze, and she looked at Anna groggily.
“Good morning, Senpai…”
“Good morning, Lou.”
However, Anna’s voice was noticeably shaky, not from physical weakness, but from guilt.
‘Why does Senpai’s voice sound like that?’
Louise stared at Anna in confusion for a while. As her mind gradually cleared, she remembered what had happened the night before—
“Thud.”
And then, Anna was kicked off the bed by Louise.
“Idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot Senpai!!!”
Helga, who had just been thinking about what to make for breakfast, heard the roar that could shake the entire house and even disturb the neighbors, and a mischievous smile spread across her face.
“Helga, what’s going on?”
Atala, who had just woken up and was yawning, came out of her room and ran into Helga.
“Nothing, probably Anna facing the wrath,” Helga’s tone of mischief quickly faded, replaced by a helpless smile.
“I’ll probably be next.”

“Crunch, crunch… screech…”
The knife and fork in Louise’s hands seemed to be cutting through some bitter enemy. She was slicing the bread on her plate as if it were her nemesis.
“Um… Lou…”
“Shut up! Big idiot!”
Anna’s attempt to soothe Louise was immediately shut down.
Noticing Anna’s pleading gaze, Helga also cleared her throat, trying to say something—
“Shut up! Thieving cat!”
…Seeing Helga immediately focus on her own plate and say nothing, Anna had no choice but to look at Atala.
Atala was the only neutral party here… probably?
But Atala just tilted her head, indicating she didn’t understand Anna’s look.
What did you guys do last night? I don’t know? Why are you fighting? I don’t know!?
So what now?
The sound of the knife and fork scraping against the ceramic plate was ear-piercing. Anna felt that if Louise used any more force, the plate might be split in two by the knife, and the table might even be cleaved in half.
The awkward atmosphere lasted until breakfast was over.
“I’m going home.”
Louise stood up from the table, her face expressionless, and announced this. Anna was stunned for a moment.
After a brief pause, seeing Louise already heading out of the dining room, Anna realized which “home” Louise was referring to.
She was going back to her parents to complain!
Anna shot up from her seat and immediately chased after her.
If she didn’t catch up, the Duke Latimir might very well lead an army to kill her for the sake of his precious daughter.
Louise seemed to be walking slowly, but in reality, she was moving quickly. Anna chased her for a while, finally catching up at a corner and grabbing Louise’s hand.
“Let go of me!”
Louise’s tone was as cold as when she and Anna had first met.
“No!”
“Let go of me!”
“No!!!”
“Idiot!”
Seeing Louise struggling to break free, Anna decided to go all out, pulling Louise’s hand and yanking her into her arms—
Louise was tightly embraced by Anna’s clumsy hug.
“Let me go!”
“No!”
“…”
“Idiot Senpai! You’re holding me too tight! I’m suffocating.”
Only when Louise’s muffled voice came from her chest did Anna finally release her.
“Um… I’m sorry!”
“I already forgave you, Senpai.”
“Huh?”
Seeing Anna’s dumbfounded expression, Louise couldn’t help but laugh through her tears.
“I said, I already forgave you, idiot Senpai!”
“After all, when I agreed to share you with that woman, I prepared for the worst. I’m just mad that you didn’t tell me sooner!”
“…Leaving aside whether I dared to… you were clearly still angry just now…”
“What did you say, idiot Senpai?”
“No, no, I didn’t say anything! It’s all my fault for not telling you sooner! I’m sorry!”
Anna didn’t dare say anything more. Women understand women, right? Today, she’d just go along with Louise.
Though sometimes, this clueless Anna might not really understand women…
