Chapter 108: Chapter 107: Lyre’s Matching Result
After Layton Lewis told all the sentinels to be ready for matching, he also gave them time to go to the matching center.
The data collected by the matching center could is connected to all the matching centers across the federation so as long as they wanted to be matched with a certain person at that time even if they aren’t on the same planet, it is still possible.
They would only need to be in the same place when registering for marriage. So, it is still pretty convenient to have matching tests for a lot of people in the federation.
Ryzel rested well for two days as Layton Lewis would always bother him at night-time.
Knowing that he won’t be working their night activities would always happen for a long time.
So, he was well rested as he would wake up late and only browse for news and other things with his light brain without doing other anything else.
In the day of Lyre’s matching tests, Ryzel called Lyre as soon as he finished having his brunch.
"Hello! Lyre, how long will it be before the result of your matching tests arrive?"
"I went there very early with my brother and sister-in-law.
According to my brother, the soldiers in the ninth army should already be done at this time. So, I should be getting the results this afternoon."
"Oh, they are indeed very efficient," Ryzel praised.
"Yes, indeed they are. But Ry, why are you only calling now? Don’t tell me you just woke up," Lyre said with a raised brow.
"Yes, I just woke up is there a problem? I’m on my rest day," Ryzel said nonchalantly while still sitting on the sofa relaxedly.
"Wow! Getting married can indeed change a person.
When you were here, even if you’re on your rest day you are still doing something and always wakes up early.
Now, it seems that you’ve been enjoying your busy nights that’s why you are only waking up this time," Lyre said teasingly.
Lyre is indeed correct, at that time even if Ryzel was on his rest day he would still do something.
He wouldn’t really rest for the whole time. He would be making a few potions or continuing doing his research for a few hours.
He didn’t really have much free time at that time because he still needed to have his own money to continue his studies so even if he was supposed to rest, he wouldn’t use it to rest the whole time.
Now that he doesn’t have any worries about money, materials for research and the like he could indeed rest without doing anything.
Research is indeed a very enjoyable thing for him, but sometimes it is also good to have a rest while doing nothing.
"Why? Are you jealous? Don’t worry you’ll be having a partner soon, your pleasurable nights are coming," Ryzel teased back.
"When did I even say I’m jealous! You’ve really changed, at that time you are even very shy when you are receiving my gifts. Now you’re talking without even blushing," Lyre said with a red face.
"Of course, because I already got accustomed to it. It would even be weirder if I’m still blushing with just a simple tease from you.
Don’t worry you will be able to understand what I’m saying after you get married," Ryzel said with a chuckle.
"Anyway, how are you going to choose your partner later on? Are you really going to choose the most handsome among all those who passes the compatibility threshold?"
"I already talked about it with my family. They agreed to for me to choose the handsomest but only within the top 5 with the highest compatibility rate with me."
"That is indeed a good idea. It is good for you."
Lyre’s family indeed made the safest choice. They all knew about Lyre’s personality, so they still let him choose but only limited it within the top 5 who have the highest compatibility rate with Lyre because having a high compatibility rate is indeed better for the sentinels and the guides especially if they have no initial feelings for each other.
"Yes, I knew it was good for me so even if I wanted to have a wider selection range I didn’t bother to object."
"Anyway, let’s talk again later on. Call me as soon as you receive the results of your matching tests."
"Don’t worry I’ll call you as soon as I get it. See you later!"
"Bye!"
While waiting for the results of Lyre’s matching tests, Ryzel went shopping online.
He was only shopping for the things they needed for the kitchen. As for clothes and other things he hasn’t bought anything new since the last time he went shopping with Layton Lewis.
Ryzel still went to order food ingredients first as usual. Afterwards he went shopping for clothes.
He really wasn’t too fond of shopping, so he only bought a few more clothes for himself and for Layton Lewis.
After spending nearly four hours shopping and browsing the latest news and gossip around the federation, Lyre finally called him.
"Ry the matching center just sent me the results!" Lyre said with a mixed excitement and nervousness.
"Ok! Share your screen first before opening the results they sent," Ryzel said. He was also eager to know who would be the 5 candidates that could be Lyre’s partner.
"Ok, I’m opening it now," Lyre said after sharing his screen.
Lyre opened the message that the matching center sent and both of them looked at the results.
"Wow, Lyre! Your matching results are amazing! Those people on the top five are all good," Ryzel praised.
Lyre’s result showed that among all the sentinels who participated in the matching tests at least 30 sentinels passed the compatibility threshold.
Ryzel already expected that those who could pass the compatibility thresholds are those who are all talented.
However, he didn’t expect that all the top 5 sentinels in Lyre’s compatibly tests were all known figures in the ninth army.
