After Breaking Up, I Married the General-Chapter 110 - 109: Lyre’s Matching Result 3

Chapter 110

Chapter 110: Chapter 109: Lyre’s Matching Result 3
Layton Lewis chatted a bit with Ryzel, but Mervin didn’t even notice it because he was anxiously waiting for Lyre’s message.
Knowing that Mervin was the one chosen by Lyre, Layton Lewis was finally willing to say something, "Don’t be too nervous, Lyre should be talking to his family before sending you guys a message."
For guides who have done a matching test, they are obligated to send a message to all those who passed the threshold who their partner will be.
The matching center was only responsible for sending the results to each of the sentinels who participated in the matching tests.
So, guides who received the full lists of their matching tests results from the matching center were the ones who needed to inform the sentinels who their partner will be for all the others not to wait for nothing.
The sentinels who received the results and passed the matching rate threshold are also obligated to wait patiently for the message of the guide and not to disturb them.
Those who don’t follow their obligations could be ed and be sanctioned by the federations law.
So, all the sentinels in the ninth army should be waiting for Lyre’s message.
Ryzel only mentioned the top 5 sentinels who had the highest matching rate with Lyre. It means there should be more sentinels who passed the threshold.
After Lyre’s message the training ground should be busy for a while. His workload should also be increased a bit for the following days as Mervin would be busy.
He doesn’t know the compatibility rate of others but knowing that they have a chance to be with a guide they would surely ask to spar with Mervin to vent their feelings for the following days.
Layton Lewis didn’t bother to pay attention to Mervin who wasn’t doing his job properly.
As a friend he should be considerate for a while. He could just double his workload after everything was settled.
Layton Lewis was reviewing some documents on his desks for about an hour before he heard Mervin speak.
"Finally, a message from Lyre arrived!" Mervin said with a smile.
Layton Lewis looked at Mervin and saw how he nervously opened his message.
"Ha ha ha.
Lyre chose me!
I should thank my parents for gracing me with this face," Mervin said happily.
"Congratulations!" Layton Lewis finally said.
"Thanks!" Mervin said and was still looking at the message on his light screen.
"Why don’t you stop staring at your light screen and instead reply to Lyre’s message or call him instead," Layton Lewis reminded.
"Oh, right! Thanks for reminding me!" Mervin said and went to the other room connected to their office.
While Mervin was staying in the office lounge Layton Lewis received a message from General Chester, Mervin’s father.
[Hello, Lewis, I don’t plan to bother you, but Mervin sent us a weird message.
He thanked us because of giving him a handsome face and he also said that he had found a partner.
We tried calling him, but it says it’s busy. Do you know what happened to that child?]
After reading the message Layton Lewis knew that Mervin should have sent the message to his parents while still talking with Lyre. That’s why his parents can’t contact him, making them come to him.
They should also be puzzled and anxious about what happened to Mervin, that’s why they contacted him as they don’t usually bother to contact him aside from official business.
He didn’t want them to unnecessary worry, so he briefly explained what happened to Mervin.
[Please don’t worry about Mervin, he is doing fine. He must be very excited because he found his guide. He should still be talking to him at the moment that’s why he wasn’t able to answer your calls.]
[Thank you, Lewis, then, I will be contacting him later on.]
[You’re welcome, uncle.]
After a while Mervin finally came out of the lounge.
"Ha ha ha
Lewis, Lyre indeed chose me!" Lyre said with a happy tune. It seems that he wouldn’t get out of his excitement for a while.
"Yes, you already told me," Layton Lewis replied while continuing what he was doing.
"I already talked to Lyre we would be getting married this month," Mervin said with a wide smile on his lips.
Layton Lewis finally looked at Mervin and asked, "Are you sure it’s marriage not an engagement?"
"Yes, it is indeed marriage. Lyre wanted to get married before their internship.
I even asked if he was sure because his birthday is still four months away, but he said that it is better to get married directly so that it would be less hassle.
Being formally engaged requires both parties to be present in the marriage hall.
Additionally, for those with higher statuses a ceremony is required for the engagement and marriage would require another one.
Lyre knew that everyone was busy, so he decided to have a marriage ceremony directly.
He said that since the marriage would only be a couple of months away it is okay to be married earlier.
I also talked about the primary plan with his family that’s why it took longer than usual."
"I see, congratulations! So, when will the ceremony be?"
"It should be around three weeks from now."
"Then, you need to work hard to finish all the paperwork here for us before we go to the Capital Star. By the way Mervin did you talk to your parents already. They called me a while ago because of your message."
"Oh, right! I need to talk to them properly. They need to prepare the other things for the wedding day. I better contact them now."
However, before Mervin could call his parents a lot of people were suddenly calling him and sending messages to him.
"Why are all of these people suddenly asking for a match?" Mervin said.
"How many sentinels do you think passed the compatibility threshold with Lyre? You should indeed go and have a match with them," Layton Lewis said.
