After staying at home for three days it was finally the day of Lyre and Mervin’s wedding.
Ryzel woke up early together with Layton Lewis to go to the venue earlier. As friends of Lyre and Mervin they were tasked with welcoming and entertaining the guests together Lyre and Mervin’s family. That’s why they needed to go to the wedding venue earlier.
"Ryzel are you ready to go?"
"Yes, I’m ready we can go," Ryzel said after changing his clothes.
Both of them were currently wearing formal clothes which they didn’t wear often. Most of the time he was wearing casual wear and his lab coat but now he was wearing a suit. Layton Lewis, who also often wore his military uniform, was now wearing a suit which really looked good on him.
"Then, let’s go," Layton Lewis said while waiting for him to walk over to where he was.
"Yes, let’s go. It would be bad if we arrive later than the other guests."
Layton Lewis set their aircraft on auto driving and both of the sat down and talked about Lyre and Mervin’s wedding.
"Do you know the guests that are going to come today? I know some of the guests invited by Lyre as they are mostly our schoolmates. What about Mervin’s" Ryzel asked.
"Most of the guests that would come to Mervin’s wedding would also be the people that came to our wedding. So, most of the guests from Mervin’s side would already be the people you already met."
"That’s good. At least I would still see familiar faces."
Layton Lewis and Mervin’s family were close to each other, and they also worked in the same place so it is indeed understandable that the people that attended their wedding would also attend the wedding of Lyre and Mervin.
"What about mom and dad are they going to come?" Ryzel asked.
Layton Lewis’ mom and dad were on a vacation, that’s why they went and visited them when they just arrived at the capital star. They were on vacation on a faraway planet, that’s why when they knew that Mervin is getting married, they rushed back but they were only arriving now in time of the wedding ceremony.
As the person closest to Layton Lewis as a child Ryzel already knew that they also treated Mervin as one of their own children so after knowing that Mervin was getting married, they rushed back to the capital star.
"Yes, I already talked to father, and they said that they are already at the space station so they should just be in time before the ceremony starts."
"That’s great! So, are we going with them to Area 1 after the ceremony?"
"No, need. We just need to talk to them briefly. My father wouldn’t want us staying there," Layton Lewis said as serious as ever.
"Really?" Ryzel asked in doubt.
"Yes, we would just be disturbing them."
"Are you sure your father is the one who doesn’t want us to be their and not you?" Ryzel asked teasingly.
"My father doesn’t want us to be there and of course I also don’t want us to go there. It is better for us to live on our own," Layton Lewis said without even changing his expression.
"Ha ha ha. So, you admit it," Ryzel said while laughing.
"Of course, it is better to stay alone with you than to go and live with others even if its just a night," Layton Lewis generously admitted that he preferred having Ryzel to himself.
Ryzel knew that Layton Lewis had always been trying to deepen their relationship with each other. So, Layton Lewis always spend his free time with him even if they are doing different things or even if they just sat down together without doing anything else.
One time he even asked Layton Lewis to tone down their night activities, but Layton Lewis didn’t want to. He asked why and Layton Lewis said it was a very effective way of increasing their intimacy.
Ryzel can’t really argue with what Layton Lewis’ reasoning as it is indeed effective in raising their intimacy.
Together with Layton Lewis’ way of treating him with great consideration in their daily interactions within the past few months, Ryzel opened up to Layton Lewis faster than Lyre and even to his ex.
In just a few months, his way of interaction with Layton Lewis could be said to have improved significantly. He could even joke around Layton Lewis for a few times, and he was already very relaxed in Layton Lewis’ presence.
Compared to how he interacted with his ex it could be said that his interaction with Layton Lewis was really surprising. He doesn’t even joke around his ex like before and Lyre also spent a lot of time tailing him before they were friendly enough to interact with each other and joke around with each other only after they were friends for a long time.
With Layton Lewis’ personality Ryzel really wasn’t surprised that he didn’t want to go to military area 1 and live with their parents for a while.
"Okay, don’t worry I would stay with you. But it is really a shame not being able to go with mom and live there for a while."
Ryzel was sure that if he stayed with their mother for at least a day, he would surely know more gossip about Layton Lewis, especially about his childhood.
Unfortunately, he could only meet her at Lyre’s marriage, and it would surely not be enough for them to talk for a longer time.
There would surely be a lot of guests that would talk to them so there won’t be a lot of time to talk to each other.
"Oh, we are already near," Ryzel said while looking outside which only had a few islands in sight.
The place where Lyre and Mervin’s wedding will be held is at the southern end of the Capital Star which is filled with water with almost no landmasses in sight except for a few islands.
