Chapter 159

Chapter 159: Chapter 158: In the federation 11
And at that, they probably think that it would take Ryzel years before he could improve the stabilizers that he made because it’s not easy to make potions that would be effective for S-level sentinels and higher.
So, most of them clearly underestimated Ryzel’s IQ, and they seemed to forget that the one who spoke about potential was Layton Lewis.
Lewis, a man who also had a very high IQ—if he had deemed that Ryzel already needed the things that he had applied for, then it’s probably true that Ryzel already needed it.
Even though Lewis was smitten with Ryzel, Mervin knew that Lewis wouldn’t exchange such a thing just for Ryzel, as it would just harm Ryzel if he received too much without an ability to back it up.
So, the higher ups probably understood Lewis but had a hard time accepting that it was true, so they just dismissed it and said that they needed to wait until Ryzel made a stabilizer for high-level sentinels.
Since they failed to agree to provide more protection for Ryzel, they couldn’t blame Ryzel himself if he hadn’t set up emergency authorization.
They knew that the chance of that happening was very slim, so they didn’t put their hopes in it but instead they started planning more for the worst.
But they’re really lucky as the slim chance that they weren’t expecting to come actually arrived and was just delivered to Lyre.
"That’s great! I have to really thank Ryzel when he comes."
"This morning while I was waiting in the room near the entrance while making potions, I was really afraid that my brother might be next.
Luke was very near area E674, so I was really grateful that nothing happened to him. I’ve been really worried because of those mass mania triggers.
Thanks to Ryzel, I don’t have to be too afraid of it! I’ll be sure to treat him to something very nice and buy him more clothes!" Lyre said and then laughed happily.
"We’re all thankful to him, so we will give him a lot of gifts when he returns," Mervin said and then added, "I’ll this first so that we can register it as fast as possible."
"Yeah. We need to register it as soon as possible so that we can start making potions immediately.
Oh, and tell them that I also need more of the materials, especially the rare ones.
I’ll follow Ryzel’s suggestion and ask for them as I’m the one authorized to register it," Lyre said smugly.
"Ok, don’t worry. I’ll add it to my ."
"No need. I already heard it. I’m sure the others wouldn’t have a problem with it."
As soon as they heard the Marshal’s voice both of them didn’t answer immediately.
"Uncle, you should have spoken a while ago," Mervin said after coming to his senses.
Because of his excitement he really forgot that he actually didn’t manage to turn off his communicator because Lyre suddenly came in.
He got so focused on what Ryzel sent and on Lyre that he actually forgot about it.
"I also wanted to ask about it, but both of you were talking too fast. Thankfully, you guys finally thought of ing the matter," Marshal Henry said with a chuckle.
"I’m sorry, I barged in suddenly. Did I interrupt something?" Lyre said while looking at Mervin.
"Don’t worry, we were already finished talking before you came here," Mervin said and patted Lyre’s shoulder to reassure him.
"There’s no need to be sorry. Even if you interrupted us, it would be okay because the cause of your interruption is to bring such great news!" Marshal Henry said with a smile.
It was clear that the Marshal was very happy as he even had a smile and laughed a bit when he normally wouldn’t.
"Ok, I’ll call the others for another meeting. Can you two show them the whole message?"
Mervin didn’t reply and just looked at Lyre as he was the one who was authorized and received Ryzel’s message.
Even if they’re married, Mervin has no right to make a decision about it.
"It’s ok. I have no problem showing them the whole letter. It’s just full of Ryzel’s nagging anyway."
After Lyre agreed, Marshal Henry called the others for a meeting again.
Even though they just had a meeting a while ago, no one ignored the Marshal’s call and they responded immediately.
Of course, right after they appeared on the screen, they immediately asked why they were called again when they just had a meeting a while ago.
Marshal Henry just chuckled, which obviously means he is in a very good mood, so those who came and were afraid that there’s a very big trouble clearly sighed in relief.
"Don’t worry, this time we are going to discuss something very good."
Since the Marshal already said that they’ll discuss something, the others also relaxed and started asking questions about it.
Since Lyre was the only one who was present that shouldn’t be included in the meeting at all, they were clearly looking at him as the good news was probably related to him.
And Lyre, who had always been confident and outgoing, didn’t avoid their gaze at all and even smiled at them.
Seeing that Lyre was back to his very confident and outgoing personality when in the presence of others, Mervin finally sighed in relief.
It was obvious that his recovery was very good with just the letter from Ryzel.
No matter how much Lyre said that he wasn’t that worried in the past few days, he wasn’t acting as his usual self at all as he didn’t smile much and he was obviously more silent than how he normally is.
Mervin was happy that Lyre was recovering, but it seemed that as his husband he also needed to improve his skills in comforting and coaxing Lyre.
If something happened again he should be able to get Lyre back to normal. If he had to rely on others then he would be a failure as a husband.
