After Breaking Up, I Married the General-Chapter 164 - 163: In the federation 16

Chapter 164

Chapter 164: Chapter 163: In the federation 16
At that time, his parents had persuaded him to let go and do some business instead.
However, he was not interested in it, and they also knew that with his personality they couldn’t let him go to the other armies.
Because they didn’t trust the others much to take care of him aside from Lewis, who had managed to take care of him and control his temper.
Lewis also didn’t want to let him leave the Ninth Army knowing his abilities, so he just let him take care of logistics and the overall flow of the battlefield whenever Lewis was also fighting outside the ship.
Mervin was skilled in his job, but he still wanted to go outside and fight, so when Ryzel—who had a very high compatibility with Lewis—appeared with his very high mental power, Mervin was really very happy.
Even though he had to suffer more brutal sparring sessions for a while because of Lewis’ jealousy, he was still very happy that his mental sea was cleaned up by Ryzel easily.
And after Lyre came and they got married, the central area of his mental sea was finally cleaned up, and even the barrier that his grandma set up for him was finally repaired properly.
Lyre had even begun setting up a stronger barrier in the central area of his mental sea, but it wasn’t finished yet because Lyre was also spending time in group guiding.
After seeing Lyre guiding others, he could finally further understand what Lewis felt when Lewis saw Ryzel guiding other sentinels.
Mervin was very aware that Lyre also needed to guide others and do group guiding because a lot of sentinels didn’t have guides, and there were also fewer high-level guides, so they had to do guiding for others.
But seeing his partner guiding others felt really bad, as it looked like what should belong to him had to be forcibly shared a bit with others.
He also felt that what he owned was being coveted by others even though he knew that the other sentinels didn’t have such thoughts and were just happy to have some pollutants removed from their mental sea.
So, he finally understood why Lewis always didn’t have a good expression when Ryzel had to guide others.
Of course, he was good at remaining straight-faced and just showing his cold expression, but those who were close to Lewis like him surely knew that his mood wasn’t that good.
Fortunately for him, Lyre was very good at group guiding and focused more on it than guiding others individually, so Mervin didn’t feel too bad about it as it was better to just hear music farther away than be close to Lyre and receive guidance from him personally.
Well, Ryzel could also do group guiding as he had seen it before, and his mental power was even stronger than Lyre’s, so he could even guide more people than Lyre could.
However, with his powerful mental power, he did less group guiding as he had to guide 2S-level sentinels that most people couldn’t really guide.
As it was really rare to have someone like Ryzel, who was still very young and already had very strong mental power.
So, he could finally further understand why Lewis would always spar with those that Ryzel had guided as long as he wasn’t too busy with the affairs of the Ninth Army.
Well, as long as there were fewer guides in the Federation and as long as there were a lot of sources of pollutants that sentinels had to face like the zergs, it seemed that they had to endure feeling bad every time their guides had to take care of others.
Fortunately, as sentinels, they were already used to enduring a lot of things and controlling themselves.
After awakening, they had to endure continuously hearing noises that they could hear even with noise blockers available, and they also had to endure the pollutants that were always irritating their mental sea.
So, as sentinels, they were always good at controlling themselves, because if they didn’t, then they probably would have had their manias a long time ago.
Even those sentinels that had more impulsive personalities were actually very good at controlling themselves as they were already enduring a lot of pain.
When Mervin saw a lot of zergs gathering in an area in the battlefield together with a lot of high-level zergs because of the deliberate guidance of the soldiers who were fighting them, Mervin stopped thinking of something else and let those near the area immediately retreat and let the ships bombard the area with the weapons that they got.
Mervin continued concentrating on the battlefield until morning, and he could see that only one-third of the number of zergs remained.
So they could probably end the battle in two days.
Before going to check on Lyre to have their breakfast together, he received the confirmation that Ryzel’s high-level stabilizer was successfully registered and verified, so it was already available to all the guides that were qualified to access it.
And of course, the name that Lyre had submitted was also successfully registered.
When Mervin arrived at their room with the breakfast he got, he saw Lyre laughing while reading something on his light screen.
"Mervin, look! They were saying that I have a terrible naming sense just like Ry. And they were even asking if there’s any use in authorizing me to name the potion!" Lyre said and continued laughing while happily browsing comments online again.
"Seeing that a lot of people who were looking forward to the name being disappointed is really fun," Lyre added.
"Your fun is really different from most people," Mervin said and gently pinched Lyre’s cheeks again.
If Lyre hadn’t grown up in a loving family, Mervin knew that the probability of Lyre turning into someone twisted—and someone the army had to arrest for causing big trouble or committing some crime—would have been very high.
Fortunately, Lyre grew up in a loving home and had good friends, so even though he liked causing trouble, he wouldn’t really cause something big that would bring a lot of trouble to other people just for fun.
