All The Female Disciples Want To Kill Me-Chapter 544 544: Chapter Three Hundred and Nineteen_1

Chapter 544

Faint starlight fell upon Li Zijun's face. Strands of hair across her forehead were dotted with droplets of water, trickling down to the hollow of her collarbones.
The wet fabric clung to her body, making her exquisite figure seem as if half-exposed. Her jade-like arms were gently bent, her charming posture fully revealed.
Her fair hands lightly gathered her water-soaked long hair behind her head. The flowing water drenched her clothes, sketching the contours of her perfect figure. She looked at Ji Nanjue with some embarrassment.
The clothes that hadn't been fully removed now clung entirely to her lithe body, faintly revealing the color of her skin beneath. Her normally loose-fitting clothes had concealed much; only now was Mount Lu's true appearance revealed.
Ji Nanjue looked at her with clear surprise. Then, the corners of her mouth curled playfully as she said, "Worthy of master and disciple; even the way you lie is cast from the same mold..."
"Forget it. If you want to call me sister, then do so. 'Master's wife' sounds terribly old-fashioned."
Li Zijun didn't respond. Her jade-like legs, hidden beneath the water, gently stirred the surface, splashing a few droplets.
Then, with a light push of her arms, she stood up, not a stitch of clothing on her. The water reached just past the top of her thighs, revealing half of her supple waist, slender and flat, without a hint of excess flesh.
"Take off your clothes. You can't bathe with them on, can you?"
This set of clothes had accompanied Li Zijun for who knows how long on their journey, although it bore no stains.
Slightly shy, Li Zijun removed her clothes and placed them on the bank before promptly sitting down in the pool water, hiding herself thoroughly.
Ji Nanjue did not laugh at her but sat down beside her.
The air was somewhat heavy, and the period before rain always felt particularly restless.
Her small hand gently scooped up some water, letting the pool water splash down. Then she suddenly spoke, "You've only met him a few times, so how are you so sure about your feelings?"
"It's normal to admire someone at your age, but from your words and behavior, you don't seem like an impulsive person."
"I'm curious. Could you share your thoughts with me?"
After a pause, feeling her question was indeed a bit tricky, Ji Nanjue added with a smile, "Of course, it's okay if you choose not to say..."
As she spoke, her eyes were fixed on Li Zijun.
"My thoughts?" Li Zijun lightly bit her thin lip. She didn't look at Ji Nanjue, merely whispering softly.
Staring at the somewhat gloomy pool water, she pondered for a moment before speaking gravely, "Does liking someone always require a reason?"
"Isn't it that at a certain moment, due to something that stirs a deep flutter in your heart, you unknowingly come to cherish someone?"
"Perhaps it's just a glance, just a certain action."
Ji Nanjue was taken aback. Listening to Li Zijun's voice, tinged with sorrow, she found that though the tone was very gentle, Ji Nanjue could detect a deep sense of vexation within it.
Then she embraced Li Zijun tightly, pressing her cheek against hers. "Love at first sight?"
Perhaps before, I would have sneered at the term, dismissing it as baseless chatter. For two people to fix their hearts upon one another after just one glance, there could only be one reason—coveting each other's beauty. Yet now, my heart is gradually acknowledging the term. My own life trajectory and Su Bei's always seemed to converge inadvertently. That time we returned from the gates of hell, the bond forged between us after enduring hardship together was naturally profound. Maybe even before that night, his image was already imprinted in my heart; it was just that my long-sealed heart had never acknowledged it.
"That could be true," Li Zijun said with a wry smile. It seems I've been misunderstood by her. My feelings for Su Bei... how could they be as understated as I just described? It took nearly a hundred years of our lives intertwining for me to be sure of my heart.
"Sister Nan Ji, Zi Jun is a bit cold..." She hugged her arms gently, blinking her eyes at Ji Nanjue. "Let's go back."
"You head back," Ji Nanjue said. "Shi... Sister will stay here alone for a bit."
Ji Nanjue smiled warmly at her, her heart in turmoil.
Ultimately, I am a woman. Even though I know Su Bei and I will never have a day where our relationship is public, I still feel resistant towards any woman who wants to take even a sliver of his tenderness from me. What's more, this woman is his disciple... it's utterly outrageous, both emotionally and logically.
A rather strange thought surfaced in my mind: his disciple, my master... and me, sandwiched in between? What a complicated relationship... three generations under one roof, is that it?
It's all Su Dudu's fault.
There's no right or wrong in love. If anyone's to blame, the root cause is that philanderer Su Bei. If he hadn't sown his wild oats everywhere, how could he have racked up so many emotional debts?
He certainly had his fun...
Li Zijun waved her hand in front of Ji Nanjue a few times. Ji Nanjue came back to her senses, gently tapped Li Zijun's small, delicate nose, and said with a smile, "You've worn that dress of yours for too long. If you don't mind, wear this one of mine for now."
She then pointed towards the white gauze dress on the bank.
Li Zijun blinked, then smiled sweetly at Ji Nanjue.
A soft RUSTLE. She put on the dress and headed towards the Daoist Temple.
Ji Nanjue watched Li Zijun's departing figure and sighed gently.
