All The Female Disciples Want To Kill Me-Chapter 546 546: Chapter Three Hundred and Twenty_1

Chapter 546

Faint starlight glittered across Li Zijun's face. Droplets of water clung to the strands of hair on her forehead, trickling down to her collarbone.
The damp clothes clung to her body, highlighting the delicate curves of her lithe figure. Her arms were slightly bent, her graceful charm fully revealed.
She gently gathered her water-soaked hair at the back of her head. The water, having drenched her dress, outlined her perfect figure, and she looked at Ji Nanjue, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
Her clothes, not yet fully removed, clung tightly to her form, faintly translucent and revealing a hint of her skin. The usually loose-fitting dress, which normally concealed her figure, now revealed its true contours, unseen before.
Ji Nanjue watched her with obvious surprise, then a playful smile touched her lips as she spoke teasingly, "It figures you're master and disciple; even your lies are cast in the same mold."
"Forget it. If you want to call me Sister, then so be it. 'Master's Wife' does sound rather old-fashioned."
"..."
Below the water's surface, her jade-like legs gently stirred the water, kicking up a few splashes.
Then, with a light push of her arms, she stood up completely bare. The water reached just past the tops of her thighs, revealing the lower half of her slender, flat waist, which was devoid of any excess flesh.
"Take off your clothes. You can't really bathe with them on, can you?"
Throughout the journey, this one dress had accompanied Li Zijun for who knows how long, although it wasn't the slightest bit stained.
Li Zijun, somewhat shy, removed her dress and placed it on the bank. Then, she immediately sat down in the pool, concealing herself thoroughly.
Ji Nanjue didn't laugh at her and sat down beside her.
The air was somewhat stuffy, and the time before the rain always felt especially restless.
Her small hand gently lifted the water, letting the pool water splash down, and suddenly she spoke, "You've only seen him a few times. Are you so sure about your feelings?"
"At this age, it's normal to have someone you admire, but judging by your words and behavior, you don't seem like an impulsive person."
"I'm very curious. Can you share what's on your mind?"
She paused. Feeling her question was indeed a bit tricky, Ji Nanjue quickly added with a smile, "Of course, it's okay if you don't want to say..."
As she spoke, her eyes remained fixed on Li Zijun.
"My thoughts?" Li Zijun lightly pursed her lips, not looking at Ji Nanjue, just murmuring softly.
Gazing at the slightly murky water, she pondered for a moment before whispering, "Does liking someone necessarily need a reason?"
"Isn't it that at a certain moment, because of something that causes a flutter deep within your heart, a person unknowingly comes to reside there?"
"Maybe it's just a glance, just a gesture."
Ji Nanjue was taken aback. Li Zijun's voice was tinged with sadness. Though her tone was gentle, Ji Nanjue inexplicably sensed a deep well of sorrow within it.
Then she held Li Zijun tightly in her arms, her cheek against Li Zijun's. "Love at first sight?"
Perhaps in the past, Ji Nanjue would have scoffed at this notion, considering it nothing more than a baseless claim. If two people were convinced of their feelings after just one look, it could only mean they were merely coveting each other's physical beauty. But now, my heart has gradually come to accept the term. My life and Su Bei's have always seemed to intertwine unintentionally; the bond we formed after returning from the brink of death that time was naturally profound. Perhaps even before that night, his image was already imprinted on my heart, but my long-sealed emotions had never acknowledged it.
"I suppose that's one way to see it." Li Zijun gave a bitter smile. It seems she's misunderstood me. My feelings for Su Bei... how could they be as superficial as I just described? It took nearly a hundred years of our bond evolving for me to be sure of my heart.
"Sister Nan Ji, Zi Jun is feeling a bit cold..." Li Zijun hugged her arms to herself and blinked at Ji Nanjue. "Let's go back."
Ji Nanjue smiled warmly at her, though her heart was filled with complex emotions. "You head back first. I... Sister, will stay here alone for a bit."
Ultimately, I am a woman. Even though I know Su Bei and I can never make our relationship public, I still feel a sense of rejection towards any woman who might take even a sliver of his tenderness away from me. What's more, this woman is his disciple... From any standpoint, emotional or rational, this is somewhat outrageous. A peculiar thought surfaced in my mind: his disciple, my Shizun... with me caught in between? What a complicated relationship... Three generations under one roof, is it? It's all Su Dudu's fault. There's no right or wrong in matters of the heart. But if blame must be assigned, the root cause is that philanderer. If he hadn't been spreading his affection everywhere, flirting around, how could so many emotional debts have been incurred out of thin air? He's certainly enjoying himself...
Li Zijun waved her hand in front of Ji Nanjue. When Ji Nanjue came back to her senses, she playfully pinched Li Zijun's cute nose, smiling as she said, "You've worn that dress for too long. If you don't mind, you can wear my dress for now."
"..."
She then pointed toward the white gauze dress on the bank.
Li Zijun blinked her eyes, then gave Ji Nanjue a sweet smile.
The fine fabric rustled softly as she put on the dress and headed toward the Daoist Temple.
Watching Li Zijun's retreating figure, Ji Nanjue sighed softly.
