Malrick's eyes snapped open — and immediately met a pair of swaying, emerald-green ones. Wanda's lips brushed against his cheek, warm and moist, gentle as a spring breeze carrying a faint, elegant scent touched with wine.
The power of his World still lingered within her; it had dispelled the worst of her intoxication. Yet despite her returned clarity, Wanda didn't pull away. She nuzzled closer like a wildly curious kitten, tentative yet daring.
When Malrick didn't immediately reject her, she grew bolder. Her face flushed scarlet — not from alcohol this time, but from the shy intensity of her first intimate advance.
Malrick swore he wasn't consciously encouraging her, and yet he didn't push her back. He tensed, preparing to respond, but Wanda froze mid-whisper. Her voice trembled as she murmured, "You want to come over? No… not yet… wait…"
Suddenly, the apartment lights flickered. A sinister wind swept through the room, scattering papers into the air. Wanda's eyes squeezed shut, her features twisting in pain, as if something were clawing at her from the inside.
Malrick watched in alarm — and then sensed it. A presence descended over Wanda: invisible, dark, and powerful. Before he could intervene, Wanda's eyes snapped open, emerald replaced by a fierce, crimson glow.
"Dreamwalking?!" he exclaimed, stepping back in shock.
Dreamwalking — a forbidden Darkhold spell — allowed one to possess the body of an alternate self in a parallel universe.
He projected his consciousness using Star Projection, diving into the invading force within Wanda's form.
"Wanda? … How is this you? Are you using Darkhold magic?" he demanded, voice shaking.
Inside, impossibly yet undeniably, he saw his own Wanda — nineteen years old — from his universe.
The other Wanda blinked, clearly disoriented. She touched her lips, as if remembering something distant and fragile.
"You… you're doing this… with her instead of me?" she whispered, hurt and confusion tangling her words.
Malrick's anger flared. "Why are you using Darkhold magic? We agreed — it's dangerous. It corrupts you."
He gripped her shoulders, fear and frustration sharpening his voice.
Tears welled in her eyes. "I— I searched for you everywhere. Natasha said you were summoned by me, so I tried… I didn't mean to hurt anyone."
Malrick's tone dropped. "Not meaning to… means you did it on purpose."
She froze, shame and longing warring in her expression. "Just… take back your mind. Please."
"Now," he said firmly. "Withdraw. Right now — or I'll cross back in and make you answer for this."
Her face crumpled. She nodded, the last of her defiance dissolving into remorse. Slowly, the red faded from her eyes, returning them to emerald.
She shuddered, as if waking from a nightmare. "I lost control… I think someone else was controlling me."
Malrick exhaled, tension easing from his shoulders. "Are you alright?"
She nodded weakly. "Yes… just give me a moment. That was… something else."
Gathering her courage, she whispered, "Thank you for stopping me. I didn't mean to frighten you."
He offered a gentle, reassuring smile. "It's okay. But you need to rest. I… I should go."
Before he moved, she pointed toward the bedroom. "I… I'll see you. Later."
Malrick paused, concern softening his gaze. "Be careful, Wanda. The Darkhold doesn't just endanger you — it could destroy you."
With that, he used his Crossing ability and slipped back to his own universe.

Back in her apartment, Wanda stared at the remnants of their still-warm dinner and sighed. "I wasn't rejected," she whispered. "That's something."
She straightened her shoulders and began clearing the dishes, trying to steady her heart.
---
Later, in First Wanda's Bedroom
Malrick appeared as soon as he returned, his voice firm and expression serious. "You promised me, Wanda. No more Darkhold magic."
Wanda stood in a red mini-dress and over-the-knee black stockings, hands clasped behind her back. Her spirit was gentler now, but her eyes still held that vulnerable, fragile glow.
"I know," she said quietly. "I just… I thought I could help you. I thought maybe I could bring you to me."
Malrick frowned. "But how many times will you risk this? How many worlds?"
She bit her lip. "Only a couple… I thought I could control it."
He shook his head. "This time I'm checking. Let me look at your soul."
Wanda nodded. He closed his eyes, tapping into his power. Wisps of black mist curled from her aura, and he dispelled them one by one.
When he opened his eyes, relief softened his voice. "It's cleared… this time. But if you do this again… there will be consequences."
Wanda's cheeks warmed. "Consequences?"
He gave a small, teasing frown. "Yes. Fifty… spankings."
Her eyes widened in startled amusement. "Fifty?"
"Fine," he said lightly, turning with a raised hand.
But Wanda raised a glowing crimson belt of magic between them, blocking his retreat. She wasn't letting him leave.
"Wait," she said, steady and serious. "You're not going anywhere until you explain what I saw you did in that other world."
Malrick hesitated, then exhaled. "It happened. You substituted memories with other Scarlet Witches… and they substituted theirs in return."
Her eyes flickered. "They… they shared my memories? And I never knew?"
"Yes," he said softly. "She told me she'd seen almost everything about you."
Her breath caught. "How many of them? How many Scarlet Witches are out there?"
Malrick didn't answer immediately. Wanda's heart pounded, confusion spiraling inside her. Then, as if making a sudden decision, she stepped closer, lifted the hem of her skirt slightly, and pressed her lips to his.
Her lips were cool — but the fire behind them, the longing she'd held back all night, ignited fully.
Malrick responded, pulling her closer. His hands slid to her thighs, warm through the fabric. Wanda gasped softly, the world narrowing to the two of them — shared breaths, flickering magic, and a heat neither of them fought anymore.
