Awakening Kryptonian Bloodline In Marvel.-Chapter 393 - 393: 393: The Academy’s New Masters

Chapter 393

Jennifer Kyle's talent did not rival Lilia's, yet her skill in alchemy was impressive and more than adequate for Kamar-Taj.
Malrick's judgments of the two witches came from his knowledge of the comics. At the time of his transmigration, Witch Agatha had not yet been released, but he knew both Lilia and Jennifer would appear. In the comics, Lilia was a 450-year-old Gypsy Witch, known as the Witch Queen of the Gypsies, born in 1576 and persecuted repeatedly for predicting tragedies. However, her comic abilities did not include consciousness traveling across timelines. Without Malrick's understanding of time, he might have thought her earlier behavior was a true breakdown.
With Lilia successfully recruited, Malrick was eager to meet Jennifer.
A few minutes later, Malrick and Wong arrived at a quiet beauty store in the United States. Malrick's mind raced: in the movie universe, Jennifer—the powerful witch from a respected magical family favored by Doctor Strange—appeared here as a bald Black woman with a nose ring, exuding a modest, almost impoverished aura.
"Let's go in," Malrick said.
Inside, Jennifer greeted them with remarkable energy and marketing skill. Her eloquence immediately convinced Malrick that she could teach effectively. She was cheerful and worldly, though nearly every third sentence referenced her sales.
When Wong revealed their true purpose, Jennifer's expression changed.
"We're inviting you to join the Supreme Mage Academy," Wong explained. "But first, you must demonstrate your ability—think of it as an interview. Wait… why are you crying?"
Jennifer's suspicion gave way to relief and joy. Seeing Malrick, the Sorcerer Supreme, she was like a penguin reunited with its flock after years apart. Tears streamed silently down her face.
"Kamar-Taj… but all my magic disappeared long ago," she whispered, remembering Agatha's theft.
"Do you still wish to teach magic without your power? We can help restore it," Wong said. "Kamar-Taj now offers bloodline potions capable of generating new magic. Would you accept that?"
Jennifer's lips trembled. "Yes, of course! Anything! Please let me join!"
"Before officially joining, we need to evaluate your alchemy skills," Wong said. The assessment confirmed what Malrick suspected: Jennifer's mastery of alchemy was exceptional. He gestured to Wong with his eyes: she was perfect for the role.
"Your level is sufficient to serve as the Academy's alchemy instructor," Malrick said, extending his hand. "But you must adopt the appearance befitting a teacher. Can you do that?"
Jennifer immediately complied, removing her nose ring, rings, bracelets, and makeup. The process concluded the recruitment successfully.

In the Small World, Wong guided Lilia and Jennifer through the Academy. Malrick, the Sorcerer Supreme, had returned home to bask in the sun. The witches stood atop a colossal dragon, marveling at the scenery. Their contracts, witnessed by Vishanti, bound them to the Academy for a hundred years. Malrick had nearly allowed even longer terms.
"Master Wong, these dragons are mounts for students, but there don't seem to be enough," Lilia said nervously, clutching her saddle.
"Master Banner is still training the others. Look, over there," Wong pointed.
In the distance, they saw a green figure wrestling with a giant dragon. Impact sounds echoed across the sky as the figure manipulated multiple dragons simultaneously. The dragons dared neither attack nor flee. Finally, one dragon was pushed forward. The figure smiled sinisterly and began to twist its fists against it. The other dragons covered their eyes in horror.
Nearby, atop a tree, a slender figure in green observed intently, cheering every move.
Lilia and Jennifer watched in awe. This was Kamar-Taj.
"No wonder they've protected the Earth dimension for centuries. So many talented individuals…" Lilia whispered.
Wong continued, pointing out Banner and Diana. Diana, wielding an Uru hammer, struck a piece of forging metal with explosive force, the sound echoing like a heartbeat across heaven and earth.
"Who's that?" Jennifer asked.
"That's the Academy's alchemy teacher," Wong said. "Please don't worry. She's forging a divine artifact."
Lilia and Jennifer exchanged astonished looks. The reputation of Kamar-Taj was indeed well-founded.
The dragons moved toward the floating island that housed the Academy.
"From now on, Banner and Miss Prince will be your colleagues. Get along well," Wong instructed.
The two witches, centuries old yet youthful in spirit, nodded eagerly.
"Besides dragons and thunderbirds, you can also ride brooms for travel," Wong added.
Jennifer hesitated. "Ride brooms?"
"Any problem?" Wong asked.
"No, no problem!" she said, waving her hands. In the modern witch world, broom flight was outdated, a relic of feudal superstition. Yet here, it represented the pure essence of magic, a return to the most natural use of magical power. Jennifer felt a sudden longing for her broom, which she hadn't ridden in over a hundred years.
