Becoming Secret Nanny for Possessive CEO-Chapter 32: Preparation for Masquerade Ball Part I

Chapter 32

Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Preparation for Masquerade Ball Part I
Callum will continue to protect his girlfriend from Arabella, no matter what troubles she may face in the future. Moreover, Arabella is very cunning, and will certainly use any means to win her heart, even resorting to violence. After all, Edith was once a victim of Arabella’s orchestrated oppression. It even left Edith helpless while pregnant with her twins.
For now, Callum can only remain silent until Edith’s memories fully return. If he tells her about their past troubles, he worries that Edith will leave him, unwilling to live with the pain any longer.
Of course, Callum wanted to enjoy his workday with his girlfriend after dealing with the scheming woman who had ruined his mood. He stared at her with sparkling eyes as she explained the concept of the outfits they would wear to the dance.
"Callum, I told you to look at the clothing concept, not at me!" Edith protested, pursing her lips.
"I’ve actually missed you all day. Just seeing you come to me for work makes me happy."
Edith quickly looked away, holding her chest to feel her pounding heartbeat. "Can you focus? I also want to receive a large payment from you for helping you design high-quality clothing."
"I always focus on you."
"If you lose focus anymore, I’m going home now."
"Okay, I’ll focus now!" His eyes returned to his lover’s sketchbook.
Edith actually really liked Callum’s possessiveness, which was always adorable in her eyes. That’s what made her fall in love again and again. However, if Callum continued to act too affectionate, she worried it would only soften the hearts of other women, including the stranger who had touched him earlier. That’s what made her want to scold Callum now for not being able to control his attitude.
"Callum, since you’re a gentle man, I’ll design you a less flashy outfit. I don’t like wearing flashy clothes either."
Callum’s cheeks flushed red at the praise his girlfriend had given him, a compliment that had never changed. "You’re the only one who dares to praise me as a gentle man."
"Really? Haven’t many women praised you all this time? You are very famous among women."
"They’ve always praised me, but they always talk behind my back." He let out a heavy sigh. "I was actually shocked by their sarcasm. They’ve only been praising me so they can be the CEO’s wife. I’ve had enough of these sneaky women for years."
Her right hand was clenched tightly. "They’re so insolent! I should beat them up one by one!"
Callum chuckled, stroking his lover’s head gently. "That’s the reason why I chose you."
"Why did you choose me? I’m just like them."
"Because you’re the opposite of them. You never genuinely tease me. But you genuinely love me. I have known you for a very long time."
Edith cleared her throat, shaking out her shirt collar with a shudder. "I was speaking the truth."
"By the way, after this I want to take you on a date somewhere."
"Where are you taking me on a date? Shouldn’t our relationship be a secret?"
That’s right. Callum had almost forgotten the problems they were currently facing. If they were to go out, everyone would think they were a couple. If their relationship were revealed, Edith’s life would be in danger too.
"Okay, let’s just have our date at home. Besides, we have to learn to dance first."
Of course, Callum didn’t break his promise to learn to dance with his girlfriend at home every night. It was only the first day of dance lessons, and they were already nervous about it, even though he had been very enthusiastic about it beforehand. They still hadn’t started dancing because they had to put the kids to bed first. They didn’t want the twins to witness them awkwardly learning to dance. Besides, they were nervous about doing it in front of the kids.
Once the kids were asleep, they could finally learn to dance more freely in the living room. Before that, Callum turned on the TV and showed a dance tutorial video for beginners. Then, they stood facing each other, watching the video tutorial.
"It seems quite difficult if we learn it without the help of an instructor," Edith said softly.
"I’m sure we can."
"Do you not like studying with instructors because you don’t trust anyone?"
"Thankfully, you haven’t forgotten the important thing I told you." His red lips approached the red lips in front of him. "I only trust you."
"Even if I leave you one day?"
"Yeah, I don’t care if you still want to leave me because of that stupid DNA test result. I just want you to follow your heart." Callum touched his girlfriend’s waist and held her hand. "I can’t wait to learn to dance with you."
"What if I accidentally step on your foot?"
"I won’t scold you. Because I think you should step on my foot so you can learn from your mistake."
Edith rolled her eyes and slapped her forehead. "Don’t cry if I step on you roughly."
As the romantic music played, both Edith and Callum moved their feet to the beat. Although they were just learning the basic techniques, Edith became increasingly nervous, moving her feet until she accidentally stepped on her lover’s toes.
"Forgive me!"
Callum’s smile widened, his strong arms wrapping around his girlfriend’s slender body lovingly. "It’s okay. I like you stepping on my feet."
Edith broke the hug for a moment, gripping her lover’s hands tightly. "This time I’ll be more serious. If I step on you again, you’ll have to yell at me."

Meanwhile, Arabella was furious after being yelled at openly by Callum in front of her enemy. She sipped her wine nonstop at the bar, gripping her glass tightly. If she couldn’t control her anger, she would surely throw it at the bartender serving another customer.
"Edith, I never thought you’d still be teasing Callum! I don’t know if your memory has returned or not, but I’m definitely not letting you live this time!"
