Aaaaagh!
The wyvern skin is way too tough! Even with demonic power surging through me, I still couldn't cut into it! And now, to make it worse, my precious steak knife has been destroyed! Snapped in half like a cheap twig!
Eris, of course, is sitting there chuckling, clearly entertained by my tragic struggle.
"Pfft. That's wyvern skin for you," she says with a smirk.
"Ughhh! Then how are we supposed to eat it?!" I groan, my tail puffing up like an angry squirrel in sheer frustration.
I mean, come on! There's a giant hunk of juicy, fatty, roasted meat right in front of my nose, and I can't even take a single bite?! That's not just unfair, that's pure evil, soul-crushing torture!
Eris better have a way to fix this. Otherwise, I swear, I'm tickling her to death tonight!
She stands up casually, brushing invisible dust from her hands, eyes glinting with that familiar mischievous gleam.
"Leave it to me," she says smoothly.
A swirl of black shadows dances around her fingers, curling like smoke.
Then—whooooosh!
Ten sleek, dark blades materialize in midair, floating effortlessly around her like some kind of magical crown forged for a knife queen. Each one gleams with sharpness.
"Oooooh! So you're using your darkness blades!"
"Yup! Even I wouldn't be able to cut through wyvern skin with a normal steak knife, you know?"
"That's so smart!" I say, clapping excitedly.
Of course, all the weapons made from Eris' darkness magic would be insanely sharp. If anything can carve this meat, it's definitely those babies!
Let's go!
But then—
Wait a second…
"STOP RIGHT THERE!" I slam both hands onto the table and shoot to my feet like a rocket.
Eris glances at me with a smug little grin, the exact look of someone very pleased with themselves. Oh, she knows. She knows I've finally put the pieces together!
"Hey! You were totally messing with me! You knew my knife would break!" I cry out, jabbing a finger in her direction like I'm delivering a courtroom accusation.
"Ohoho~" Eris laughs, daintily placing a hand over her mouth like some smug noblewoman straight out of a fantasy drama. "Whatever do you mean, my dear Felicia?"
"Grrrrrr…!!"
I growl like a rabid puppy, eyes narrowed, tail puffed up like a brush. I point at her again, extra dramatically.
"This better work, or else… I'll make you summon Sheol to do the cutting for us!"
Eris lets out a full belly laugh. "Haha! That'd be way overkill!"
"Whatever! Just hurry up already! I'm two seconds away from gnawing on the table!"
Honestly, if this drags out any longer, I might just spontaneously combust from hunger and pure frustration.
"Alright, alright," Eris says, raising her hand with a graceful flick of the wrist.
The ten dark steak knives move.
And the carving begins!
The ten floating blades suddenly spring into action, zipping through the air.
Shhhck!
Shhhhck!
Shhhck!
They slice around the giant wyvern leg in a mesmerizing dance, moving as if they're alive, responding to Eris's will with perfect precision.
"Wooooaahhh…!" I gasp, eyes wide, completely hypnotized.
Each blade targets a different section of the leg, gliding along the surface with soft shick sounds. The first few knives begin sawing through the impossibly tough skin… and they actually manage to pierce it!
Dark mist trails behind the blades as they move, cutting through the thick, scaly skin like butter. Sparks flicker here and there as they graze over bone and claw, carving cleanly.
Tch-tch-tch…
One knife taps against a wyvern claw, spinning away to join the others in a different angle of attack.
Steam rises from each fresh cut, revealing tender, juicy meat beneath. The aroma doubles—no, triples—filling the room with mouthwatering richness.
"Holy crap… it's working!" I squeal. "Eris, this is so freaking cool!!"
She just smirks, arms crossed, watching her blades do all the work like some smug kitchen goddess.
"Of course it's working! I've perfected this technique—it's called Dark Wyvern Butchering Knife Works!"
"Haha, that's cool!" I laugh, barely able to tear my eyes away from the show.
Honestly, Eris's naming sense totally sucks… but well, she doesn't need to know that! If it gets me food like this, I'll pretend it's the coolest name ever.
In the end, the knives finish their graceful dance, carving the meat into perfect bite-sized pieces. Cubes of juicy wyvern meat tumble onto the wooden platter with soft little plop plop plop sounds, each one glistening with oil and steaming from within.
Even the clawed ends are neatly trimmed and set aside on a separate plate.
Muehehe, it's so cool.
Because I have a whole wyvern skeleton leg now! A full giant leg with sharp, intimidating claws! I'm totally gonna put it on display later. Maybe inside a glass box. Or hang it above the fireplace like some badass hunters do!
…However, there's one very tragic thing.
The skin.
Because neither Eris nor I can bite through it, so we have no choice but to leave it aside.
But aaaaaghhh!!
I'm still so mad just thinking about that!
I mean, come on! How would you feel if someone served you crispy roast chicken but told you to throw away the skin?! That's actual blasphemy!
Well… one day, when I get stronger, I swear I'll come back to this moment, and chew through that wyvern skin like a beast!
Finally, with a snap of her fingers, the blades vanish in a puff of smoke.
"Ta-da!" Eris says with a proud bow.
I'm already reaching for my fork.
"LET'S EAT!" she cheers.
"Nn!" I nod with all the enthusiasm of someone about to devour a legendary feast.

Nom nom nom.
"Mmmmmmhh~!" I hug my cheeks, moaning in pure delight. My tail shivers behind me in approval—literally wagging from how good this is!
"Damn, this is good!" Eris exclaims, her eyes brimming with tears as they stream dramatically down her cheeks.
"Yeah! This is the best thing I've ever eaten!" I squeal, kicking my feet under the table.
"Felicia, that's it. Forget Filoan—we're eating wyvern meat every day from now on!"
"Really?! HECK YEAHHHH!!"
…
Aaaaaa… I'm in heaven right now.
Even without the skin, the meat inside is absolutely perfect.
It's so tender, each bite bursting with rich, smoky flavor. The juices soak into my tongue like melted butter, carrying hints of wild herbs, cracked pepper, and just a touch of sweetness. There's a deep, primal savoriness to it, like the taste of victory after slaying a mythical beast.
We're both eating while moaning in delight, completely lost in the heavenly taste.
So good that if Eris suddenly said she put some kind of addictive substance in it as seasoning, I'd believe her in a heartbeat!
