Chaotic Sword Emperor-Chapter 47 – Not for sale, regardless of the price!

Chapter 47

"Instructor, please think of something." The new students without Purple Orchids didn't care much about appearances; they were more concerned about not falling two years behind.
The instructors, grinding their teeth in frustration, had no choice. They couldn't bear to see their students lagging behind, and most importantly, they couldn't allow the fifth division to surpass them—that was utterly intolerable!
"Su Mu!"
An instructor from each of the first four divisions stepped forward, steeling themselves as they approached Su Mu with ashen faces and called out to him.
Su Mu glanced at them without a word. Who was he supposed to impress with such a stern face?
Seeing Su Mu's indifference, the instructors' chests heaved with suppressed anger. The feeling of offering warmth only to be met with cold indifference was intolerable.
But catching sight of the hopeful new students, they had to speak up again: "Su Mu, we would like to purchase your Purple Orchids."
Purchase Purple Orchids?
Only then did Su Mu turn to look at them.
"We'll pay three hundred Silver Coins per orchid, three orchids per credit," said the instructor from the first four divisions, confident in their offer. They were certain that no new student could refuse such a price!
Su Mu sneered. Did they really think they could buy his Purple Orchids at such a price? Was he a child to be fooled, or did they think he had water in his brain?
It was a seller's market now!
"Six hundred Silver Coins, two orchids per credit," Su Mu stated indifferently, take it or leave it.
"You're jacking up the price!" All four instructors were furious. Not only had the price doubled, but the credit requirement was also outrageous. This was outright extortion!
Su Mu nodded. Yes, he was jacking up the price. So what? He had the capital to do so!
"If you don't want to buy, feel free to find another seller!"
"There are so many senior students here; I'm sure they're very interested in Purple Orchids."
When Su Mu looked over, the senior students were taken aback, their expressions turning awkward. Aside from watching their friends and family perform, they were here to buy Purple Orchids, as they hadn't used enough during their time and could still use one or two more.
Although Su Mu was jacking up the price, he had the quantity to satisfy them, and they were definitely willing to accept his price.
The instructors from the first four divisions paled, glancing at the interested seniors and bowing their heads in internal struggle.
The scene fell silent. Guan Yifei and the other two women watched Su Mu, their breathing quickening. If he sold all at this price, Su Mu would truly become rich overnight!
Especially the credits, which could put all the senior students in his shadow!
"What's wrong with a trash Fate Palace? With enough credits to continuously enter prime cultivation spots, even a trash Fate Palace can grow rapidly!" Guan Yifei thought to herself, perhaps Su Mu could indeed lead the fifth division to greatness with his trash Fate Palace.
"Nobody buying? Then I'm packing up to leave." Seeing no movement from the instructors of the first four divisions and the senior students not rushing to buy, Su Mu decided to pack up the Purple Orchids.
The senior students panicked at this, looking at the four instructors. If you're not buying, we will! Say something, so you don't accuse us of bullying new students later.
"We'll buy, we'll buy!" Seeing Su Mu actually preparing to leave, the instructors from the first four divisions quickly raised their hands and shouted.
Su Mu raised an eyebrow. Why didn't you say so earlier?
"How much will you buy?"
"I'll take twenty," the instructor from the Third division said through gritted teeth, feeling the pain of parting with twelve thousand Silver Coins and ten credits.
"I'll take thirty."
"I'll take twenty-some."
The other instructors from the Third division spoke up one after another, and the senior students' eyes began to shine. The four divisions together were only buying ninety orchids; there would still be some left for them.
"We've struck it rich!" The new students from the fifth division drooled with envy as they watched Su Mu.
"Wait a minute!"

Just as the instructors from the first four divisions were about to trade with Su Mu, a voice interrupted them. Turning their heads, they saw Hua Lingfeng strolling over, seemingly just awakened.
Guan Yifei and the other two women frowned upon seeing Hua Lingfeng. Look at their dean, always present, while you just arrived, missing all the important moments.
"Not bad at all, Su Mu, you really do the fifth division proud!" Hua Lingfeng approached Su Mu, looking at the pile of Purple Orchids with much more composure than the Deputy House Master, nodding in praise.
Su Mu shrugged slightly, then glanced down and noticed Hua Lingfeng's heel sticking out of his shoe, his lips curling into a smirk. Still putting on airs, he must have lost his shoe earlier and didn't even bother to put it on properly before coming over.
Seeing Su Mu staring at his shoes, Hua Lingfeng quickly retracted his foot, a hint of embarrassment crossing his face.
This guy, such a sharp eye.
"These Purple Orchids, don't sell them to them!" Hua Lingfeng declared with a wave of his hand.
The instructors from the first four divisions glared. Why not sell to them? Why not, indeed?
"Hua old man, what do you mean?" The deans from afar couldn't stand it anymore. They had accepted Su Mu making their new students miserable, they had tolerated the flower snatching, they had even endured the price hike, but now Hua Lingfeng, a dean himself, was openly opposing them, cutting off the last hope for their new students—they couldn't tolerate that!
"What do I mean? Not selling! Didn't you hear?" Hua Lingfeng lifted his head arrogantly.
"Hua old man, we've offered a very fair price. If you're thinking of jacking up the price again, no one will buy!" The four deans were fuming, mistaking Hua Lingfeng's intentions for a price hike, and snapped coldly.
The senior students became anxious. Were they really going to be denied Purple Orchids as well?
"Who said I'm jacking up the price? Am I that kind of person?"
The four deans' faces twitched with anger at his words. Not that kind of person? If not you, then who?
"Su Mu, I'll take these Purple Orchids," Hua Lingfeng declared grandiosely.
"The fifth division still has many senior students who have never used a Purple Orchid. We'll use these ourselves!"
"Don't worry, you won't be shortchanged. We'll buy them at the price you just quoted!"
Su Mu pursed his lips and nodded. Naturally, he had no objections.
"Hua Lingfeng, have you lost your mind?"
"How many credits does your fifth division even have? If you give all your credits to him, does the fifth division not want to continue operating?"
The four deans were nearly driven mad by Hua Lingfeng's words. Money was one thing—they, as deans, wouldn't lack that—but credits were the most precious commodity. To buy them all, Hua Lingfeng would have to give up over ninety credits!
Were they determined to fight to mutual destruction?
"Our fifth division may have few credits, but we also have fewer people," Hua Lingfeng replied nonchalantly, as if a nouveau riche, full of bluster.
"I have so many credits I can't even give them all away, unlike you misers, scrimping and saving."
"I was just worrying about where to allocate the credits. Su Mu, in addition to the credits for the Purple Orchids, I'll reward you with ten extra credits as a prize for taking first place!"
Su Mu's eyes brightened. This was good; he could enter the Chaotic Wind Tunnel again.
With that, Hua Lingfeng glared at the four deans with an air of 'I'm rich, what can you do about it? Bite me if you dare!'
