"Bang!"
Yan Ping walked to the podium, her gaze sweeping across the room before stopping briefly on Su Mu. She then slammed the textbook onto the podium, causing everyone to jolt.
"After a month of vacation, it seems you've all become lax, especially some of you who are acting arrogantly on your first day back!"
Hearing Yan Ping's words, everyone's eyes involuntarily fell on Su Mu. It was clear to everyone that the latter part of her statement was directed at him, but Su Mu seemed completely unfazed, sitting comfortably in his seat.
Yan Ping's gaze lingered on Su Mu, and seeing his lack of reaction, she felt a surge of irritation.
"Class begins now!" Yan Ping announced coldly, opening the textbook and leaning on the podium, her eyes scanning the students with the stern demeanor of a strict teacher.
But to the students, it was a different story.
"The old witch is at it again!"
"Lower your heads, don't make eye contact with her!"
Both the old students from the fifth division and the first four divisions quickly lowered their heads, fearing any eye contact with Yan Ping. A single glance could spell disaster!
"We'll start by reviewing last semester's material to solidify your foundation!" Yan Ping began her lecture with a cold expression, her gaze constantly roaming the classroom, always lingering a bit longer on Su Mu, each time growing colder.
As Su Mu listened to Yan Ping's lecture, he gradually lowered his head. It wasn't out of fear, but because her lecture was incredibly boring and irrelevant to him.
Seeing Su Mu finally lower his head, Yan Ping smirked, thinking he was intimidated.
"I'll only say this once. If you can't answer my questions, you'll stand for the rest of the class!" Yan Ping declared, causing the students to lower their heads even further.
"Who can explain why ancient strongmen explored the path of the Transcendence Realm?" Yan Ping asked, her gaze sweeping over the students.
"Damn, who can answer such a difficult question?" The students' faces darkened. The question was too hard, and they all lowered their heads even more, almost hiding under their desks.
"Please don't call on me, please don't call on me," they all silently prayed.
"Su Mu, you answer!" As expected, Yan Ping called on Su Mu. She had aimed this difficult question at him, wanting to make him stand for the rest of the class.
"Me?" Su Mu raised his head, frowning. The targeting was too obvious.
"Yes, you!" Yan Ping sneered, "As the first new student to skip a grade, this question shouldn't be difficult for you."
With that, she crossed her arms triumphantly, thinking he had no choice but to stand.
Su Mu shrugged. Since she praised him so much, he might as well answer.
Seeing Yan Ping's obvious targeting of Su Mu, the other students relaxed, thinking they were safe for the rest of the class.
"Offending the old witch, he won't have a good time," the students from the first four divisions sneered at Su Mu, watching him stand to answer the question.
"Does he really dare to stand up? Does he know the answer or not?"
"Once you stand, don't expect to sit down again!"
"If the old witch drags the class, he'll be standing for at least an hour!"
Amidst the schadenfreude, Su Mu calmly began, "The reason ancient strongmen explored the path of the Transcendence Realm is that the human body contains too many impurities. If these impurities are not removed, one cannot break through to higher realms. Even if they do, they are prone to going berserk."
Yan Ping's eyes flashed with surprise. He knew the answer, but that wasn't enough!
"If it were that simple, I wouldn't have asked this question. The old students wouldn't be hiding their heads," she thought.
"Actually, from the moment we start cultivating, we are constantly purifying our bodies. But before the Transcendence Realm, we only expel surface impurities, not those deep in the meridians and organs," Su Mu continued before Yan Ping could speak.
"The Transcendence Realm is a process of rebirth, a deep purification. In the early stage, we expel impurities from the body; in the mid-stage, from the meridians; and in the late stage, from the organs."
"Only by removing these impurities can we truly step into the realm of cultivators and achieve the highest affinity with vital energy."
"Teacher Yan, am I right?" Su Mu asked, a slight smile on his lips.
Yan Ping was stunned. She hadn't expected Su Mu to answer so thoroughly and accurately, detailing each stage so clearly!
She had never seen such an outstanding student before!
But her face quickly darkened. She didn't need Su Mu to be so excellent. His excellence was a slap in her face! How could she make things difficult for him and vent her husband's anger now?
"Basically correct. Sit down," she said stiffly. Though she was reluctant to admit it, Su Mu had won this round.
As Su Mu sat down, the students from the first four divisions stared at him in disbelief. He actually answered correctly?
"The old witch's questions are always so tricky, and this is the first time I've seen someone answer correctly!"
"He hasn't even reached the Transcendence Realm, and this is his first class. How does he know so much?"

For a moment, they forgot their animosity towards Su Mu, feeling only shock.
"Junior brother, you're amazing!" The old students from the fifth division looked at Su Mu with admiration and curiosity.
"Junior brother, how do you know so much without attending classes?"
"Did the dean give you private lessons?"
Hearing this, the students from the first four divisions, who were sitting nearby, perked up their ears. They also wanted to know why Su Mu was so knowledgeable.
Under the curious and expectant gazes of the fifth division students, Su Mu looked at them speechlessly, "Don't you usually read books?"
"Read books?" The fifth division students' expressions froze, then they lowered their heads in embarrassment, feeling deeply humiliated.
The students from the first four divisions, who had been eavesdropping, also sat back down awkwardly. So the reason he could handle the old witch's tricky questions was because he read books? That single sentence made them feel utterly worthless!
"Who has time to read when we're busy cultivating?"
"Isn't reading a waste of time?"
The students from the first four divisions grumbled in their hearts. Su Mu shook his head in disbelief. Back in the Su Family, due to limited resources, he had to read various ancient texts and books to find breakthroughs, naturally accumulating a wealth of knowledge.
But these old students didn't even read.
"Quiet, quiet!" Yan Ping snapped, slapping the podium. The classroom quickly fell silent.
"Kid, you're impressive, but don't think this is over!" Yan Ping picked up the textbook and continued the lecture, her mind racing to come up with more difficult questions for Su Mu.
"Kid, your knowledge is impressive," came the voice of the Mad Immortal Emperor in Su Mu's mind, making him smile.
"But you got one thing wrong."
"Oh?" Su Mu raised an eyebrow. What did he get wrong?
"The Transcendence Realm isn't just about purifying the body and organs. Every cultivator's Dantian and Fate Palace also contain impurities!"
"And these impurities can be removed!"
"Dantian and Fate Palace have impurities?" Su Mu was stunned. This shattered his understanding.
"Do you know how many stages there are in the Transcendence Realm?"
"Nine, right?" Su Mu replied instinctively. Wasn't that common knowledge?
"Wrong!"
