Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox-Chapter 635 – Satisfying Ending?
Mai didn't mince her punches and punched anything that got close to her.
"Try not to destroy those flying ships." Mei suddenly shouted as she received some snacks from Aiko.
"Why not?" Mai was slightly confused, but she was still careful.
"We can use those Floating Stones." Mei shrugged at her sister.
"Oh..." Mai nodded her head. She was worried that her sister liked these uncultured flying ships, but that didn't seem to be the case.
Sun Aiko munched on those snacks as she watched over the Demonic Foxes kicking the ever-living shit out of the Delegations.
"If I knew it would be this easy, we wouldn't need to plan that much." Mei sat next to Sun Aiko. She was radiating quite a lot of heat, so Mei had to be careful.
"They will be hurt afterwards." Sun Aiko munched on another snack. She would do her best to 'escort' all the Demonic Foxes into her tails later, so they wouldn't be in as much pain as before.
"Right... the Pills." Mei rubbed her head. It seemed like she wouldn't be able to rest any time soon, but that was fine.
Most innocent Foxes were subdued, for some reason, all the Souls were collected inside Aiko, and the damage to the Fox Village was minimal, which meant they would be able to collect even more resources from this.
"Oh, I also have a Floating Stone." Danji suddenly joined the conversation.
"You do?" Sun Aiko's eyes sparkled. She imagined herself tied around the Floating Stone, flying high up in the sky!
"The Sacred Realm was nice, huh?" Mei's lips twitched. If she knew that there were still so many Treasures inside, she would also join at any cost.
'Maybe then Aiko wouldn't have so much trouble.' Mei had this uncanny feeling whenever she looked at Sun Aiko, like something was amiss with her.
Unfortunately, she couldn't figure out what it was.
"Mai is happy~" Sun Aiko was happy that everyone was enjoying themselves, but also slightly unhappy that she could not join in on this fun.
"Yeah..." Mei felt quite calm, but also happy. It had been a long, long time since she saw her Sis so happy.
Dai Lu leaned back. "I'm never fighting again until I heal." She was wheezing like a broken toy. "This shit is too hard on my body."
"I asked you if you were fine!" Mei wanted to slap her, but held herself back.
"Even if I told you I'm not fine, I can't really leave." Dai Lu shrugged.
"..." Mei pursed her lips. It was true that Dai Lu was their core of strength, but with the Demonic Foxes, Dai Lu could've just waited to recover.
"But damn, so many nine-tailed Demonic Foxes..." Dai Lu no longer felt special in this place. Well, she was the only Fox in this Fox Village that reached 9 tails before a certain someone cut them off, but Aiko just whipped a whole army of them.
"I feel kind of bad for them..." Dai Lu observed the Demonic Foxes. They would harass anyone who tried to escape and kick anyone who was lying down and considered an enemy.
"They are our enemies." Mei was flabbergasted.
"At this rate, the whole mainland will become our enemy." Dai Lu snorted. "We are robbing their Delegations."
"They attacked us first-" Mei smirked, but then stiffened.
"Mai attacked them first." Dai Lu snorted.
"..." Chen Shi sat some way away from them. It was tiring to maintain the Runes, so he just wanted to lie down and rest.
"Yoho~" Chen Yanqi also flew down to greet the group. "I thought you were in a pickle."
"That pickle unpickled itself." Danji laughed.
"..." Chen Yanqi rolled her eyes. "You know how tiring it was to fly at full speed?"
"You were here for a bit, so it couldn't be that bad." Danji shot back.
"Am I missing something?" Mei nudged Aiko. She was confused why Danji was so close with them.
"They probably spend time together." Sun Aiko nodded her head slowly, but she was no wiser.
"..." Mei felt like this Aiko was useless when it came to information, so she turned to her trusty bodyguard.
"Don't look at me like that. She vastly overpowers me, so I can't look into her." Dai Lu looked away like Mei was trying to slave her away.
"I thought it worked on everyone." Mei was startled.
"No. If they are vastly more powerful, then I can't look into them." Dai Lu shook her head. "Oh, but if they are 'weak' as those guys." She pointed at the Delegations getting stomped and harassed by the Demonic Foxes. "Then I can read them."
"Your ability is weird." Mei shook her head. She couldn't understand how it worked, since most abilities would stop working once someone was more powerful than the one using the ability.
But in Dai Lu's case, they would have to overpower her in order to block her ability.
"Don't ask me how it works. I was kicked out of the Clan because they were unable to figure it out." Dai Lu shrugged.
"I don't think that's the whole story." Mei narrowed her eyes with a meaningful smile.
"I may or may not have called out everyone's debauchery." Dai Lu shrugged.
"... You are like Aiko." Mei had a feeling of déjà vu with this one.
"How rude." Dai Lu snorted unhappily. "I'm nowhere as destructive and unpredictable as she is!"
"So you are not denying your temperament, huh?" Mei rolled her eyes.
"Who would like it when someone was cheating on them?" Dai Lu rolled her eyes. She would call all debauchery out.
"Yet you have nothing to say for me?" Mei raised her eyebrow, feeling betrayed.
Dai Lu was flabbergasted. "You were late to the party." She then shook her head. "You should've taken the pie first."
"Ugh..." Mei didn't like how she was called out, but they were interrupted a lot, alright?!
"Sure, sure." Dai Lu read her mind before plopping down.
"... How do we feed them?" Mei suddenly posed a question, and everyone fell silent.
Everyone fell silent. It was one thing if the Fox Village was operating, but what would they do now that the other Sects might come here?
"Old Ming can cook, no?" Sun Aiko thoughtlessly and openly said something outrageous.
"Right, this is how Aiko is." Chen Yanqi nodded her head.
"I'm no longer surprised." Chen Shi gave up.
"It's not a bad idea." Mei raised her eyebrow. Since the Fox Village was dissolved, they didn't need to be low-key in their movement.
"What?!" Sun Aiko felt offended that they didn't like her idea. "Old Ming has tasty food, so why not feed everyone?" She pouted unhappily, demonstrating her childish nature when she was in her Sun Form.
"There are too many Foxes." Mei shook her head.
"At least it will improve his skills!" Sun Aiko believed that Old Ming would like this situation.
Dai Lu wanted to laugh, but held herself in. "So, are we just going to watch this end, or?"
"If you want to join them, you can." Mei replied blankly, but she had no intention of moving her body right now.
Yes, she was upset that they interrupted their alone time, but at the same time, she didn't have enough Thunder Talismans to inflict any meaningful damage.
"So everyone will just watch...?" Dai Lu felt flabbergasted that even the Rune Saint was unwilling to move.
"Don't look at me, I'm maintaining the barrier that is preventing them from running away." Chen Shi rolled his eyes. This Fox might be even worse than Aiko!
"That's rude." Dai Lu frowned at him. "It's not like I'm forcing you to join in, you know."
"Riiight, as if your eyes are not saying: Join, join, join." Chen Shi would not join in.
"Are you sure?" Fang Yue suddenly popped out of Aiko's Treasure.
"You can't do this to me." Chen Shi whined like a child.
"There, there." Fang Yue patted his back, giggling happily.
"This might be the strangest and most chaotic group I have ever encountered." Mei shook her head.
"There are no groups like this in the Immortal World?" Dai Lu tilted her head. That didn't seem right, since there should be at least one group like this.
"Do you think they would be able to survive if one of them insulted anyone she didn't like and another wanted to loot everything and so on?" Mei shook her head repeatedly. It seemed like everyone underestimated how hostile the Immortal World would be for this group.
*Crash*
"He-lp m-e..." The cow landed right in front of them.
"How is the prophecy going~?" Sun Aiko's innocent nature might be even worse than Moon Aiko's nature, as she would innocently stab where it hurt the most with the happiest expression ever!
The cow coughed up blood and fainted.
"Wow..." Chen Yanqi felt like it was a great idea to send her son away so that he wouldn't bicker with Aiko. 'Let's hope he will mature, or he will be in a world of hurt very often...' She pursed her lips gently.
Sun Aiko tilted her head. "What's wrong with her?"
The group smiled wryly. Aiko's destructive nature was too great even for Mahayana Cultivators.
"Aren't they supposed to be strong?" Sun Aiko tilted her head as she poked the cow with a stick.
The Demonic Foxes pursed their lips, but some of them were unable to endure her cute, yet troubling nature and laughed out loud.
Soon, all the Demonic Foxes were laughing happily, making most of the Human Cultivators faint from coughing up blood.
Those Human Cultivators could take a lot of beating, but when it came to psychological warfare... they weren't all that strong.
After all, there was this unspoken rule on the Human side that they would not ridicule each other during the time of war.
This was to prevent Cultivators from fainting or blowing themselves up from their rage.
However, Aiko ignored or rather was completely oblivious to those rules, making her innocent expression that much worse for them.
"So it's been solved...?" Mei blankly blinked, not believing that Aiko was able to make all of them faint so easily.
"No more games?" Sun Aiko pouted unhappily. "What will the Demonic Foxes do if they don't have toys to play with?"
"You can do so-" One Demonic Fox suggested, but another immediately took her head into a headlock, almost choking her to death.
"Oh, true." Sun Aiko nodded her head. "You can just play with each other as you do right now." She nodded her head repeatedly with a happy expression.
The Demonic Foxes were worried that this innocent little Fox would be corrupted, so they were happy when those words flew over Aiko's head.
