Chapter 117: Chapter 117: Aunt Su Won’t Be My Mommy Anymore
Damon Hawke looked at the painting, suddenly somewhat understanding the reason for his son’s unhappiness.
Could it be that he wants mommy again?
But he was a bit puzzled.
After all, he’d promised his son that he would win over Elara Don.
His son was also eagerly anticipating his performance.
Why suddenly unhappy?
And saying he’s a liar?
"Charlie, tell Daddy, what are you thinking?"
Damon Hawke told Dominic Hawke to stop what he was doing and turned his small body to face him.
Dominic looked at him, his small mouth tightly pressed together, but he didn’t speak.
This posture, is a posture of resistance.
His state has returned to how it was before!
What on earth is going on?
Damon Hawke’s sword brows furrowed slightly, "Charlie, speak."
Silence.
The little guy kept quiet.
Damon suppressed his temper, softening his voice, "What’s the matter? Are you missing Aunt Charlotte? Are you upset that Daddy didn’t let you visit her at the company? If that’s the reason, I’ll take you to the company tomorrow."
Upon hearing this, Dominic finally reacted.
Tears welled up in his eyes like black grapes, turning his small head away, "No going to the company, Aunt Charlotte won’t be my mommy."
Even if he goes to the company, Aunt Charlotte won’t change her mind.
He doesn’t want to go.
It’s painful.
"Why won’t she be your mommy? Charlie, didn’t Daddy promise you he would win her over?"
The son finally expressed his feelings, Damon breathed a sigh of relief but was very surprised.
Why did the little guy come to such a conclusion?
"You’re lying! You’re just coaxing me!"
Cameron Thorne’s tears fell with a splash.
He wiped his tears, "Bea has already found her biological father, the man pursuing Aunt Charlotte these days. Bea said Aunt Charlotte has feelings for that man, so they can’t become a family with us."
Upon hearing that, Damon Visibly froze.
Bea found her biological father?
And her biological father is the man pursuing Elara Don these days?
But clearly, the man pursuing Elara these days is him?
Why would Bea say such a thing?
Thinking it over, Damon Hawke suddenly realized.
"Charlie, don’t you trust Daddy? What Daddy promised you, he will definitely fulfill."
He thought the reason Bea would say such things must be because Elara deliberately suggested it to her.
She was paving the way for Bea so that when Bea meets him later, she wouldn’t be adverse to his presence.
She wants Bea to mistakenly think he is her biological father!
It seems Elara is willing to accept him, wanting him to integrate into her and the child’s life.
Damon’s mood soared, feeling triumph about to embrace him.
Dominic looked at Damon Hawke’s smiling face, his small mouth pressing together tightly.
Is Daddy still boasting?
Can he really win Aunt Charlotte over?
He no longer believes it!
Outside the training institution entrance.
"That Ivy, she’s really opportunistic, knowing how to use your psychology to get you to help her bail Isabella Wolf out!"
Leia Quinn listened to Elara Don recount this matter, her face full of anger, "Elly, what do you plan to do? In my opinion, you might as well..."
"No, I can’t take risks right now, can’t let Tom know about Bea’s existence."
Although her feelings for that man are growing, she’s not yet at the stage where she can entrust her life to him.
She herself doesn’t mind, but she can’t ignore the child’s safety.
Elara pursed her lips, her gaze landing in the classroom at the little person handing in homework, her fingers curling up.
"So you really plan to ask Damon Hawke for help?"
Leia Quinn frowned as she asked.
Elara considered for a moment, then nodded, "Ivy only gave me three days. I’m calling Damon Hawke now, inviting him to dinner."
For her son, she had no other choice but to brace herself and push forward.
Elara walked to the corner, found Damon Hawke’s phone number, took a deep breath, and dialed it.
At this time, Damon had just come out of the children’s room.
When he saw it was Elara’s call, he raised his brows a bit, surprised.
She’s actually calling him?
Did the sun rise from the west?
"Hello?"
"Mr. Hawke, do you have time tonight? I’d like to treat you to dinner."
Elara wanted to treat him to a meal!
That’s truly peculiar!
Damon felt like asking why she wanted to treat him to dinner.
But when it came to saying the words, he swallowed them.
No matter the reason, meeting her is always good.
"Alright."
Damon responded directly.
"I’ll text you the address later."
Seeing Damon agree without hesitation, Elara felt relieved.
After hanging up, she walked to Leia Quinn’s side, "Kiki, help me with something tonight..."
...
Night fell.
Neon lights lit up the horizon.
In a high-end restaurant located in the city center, Elara Don sat in a private room, occasionally glancing at her phone, quietly waiting for Damon Hawke’s arrival.
Her heart was beating somewhat fast; she poured herself a cup of water, took a big sip, trying hard to stay calm.
The door opened, and Damon Hawke came in.
Dressed in his customary white shirt and black pants, he exuded a magnificent aura.
Elara quickly stood up to greet him.
"Mr. Hawke."
Damon glanced at her, handing her his coat, not rushing to inquire, but sat down instead.
The table already had several cold dishes, with a bottle of red wine and a bottle of white wine beside.
This seemed like the rhythm of toasting and drinking together?
His eyes moved slightly, watching as Elara sat across from him, subtly.
"Serve the hot dishes, please."
Elara ordered the server who entered, then poured water for Damon Hawke.
"Mr. Hawke, please have some water."
Damon smiled slightly, enjoying her attentive service.
"Mr. Hawke, will you drink white or red?"
Elara asked as she looked at Damon.
"White! And red, will you drink it?"
Damon drank some water, testing.
"Alright."
Elara picked up the decanter, poured white wine into Damon’s glass.
Then she poured red wine into her glass.
Damon felt like there was a cat’s claw scratching inside him, itching uncontrollably.
This little lady, why is she inviting him for drinks and dinner today?
"Mr. Hawke, I toast to you, thanking you for your care during this time."
Elara raised her glass to Damon, speaking.
Damon raised his brows slightly, gave her a serving of food.
"Don’t rush, eat some food first to ease your hunger, otherwise I fear you’ll quickly be tipsy."
Elara froze for a moment, her heart inexplicably stirred.
He’s quite considerate.
Her gaze fell on the hand serving her food, those hands were slender and distinctly jointed, like an artist’s hands.
A pair of hands flashed through her mind, seemingly equally beautiful.
How could she associate Tom at this moment?
Elara hurriedly dismissed the distracting thoughts, put down her glass, and ate a couple of bites of food.
"Come on, didn’t you say you’d toast me?"
Once Elara had consumed a few bites of food, Damon raised his glass, looking deeply at her.
