Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Someone Wants to Harm Her
Hearing the little guy’s cool kiddish voice, Cole Hawke’s eyes slightly moved.
He put on his little backpack and took his small hand.
"You’ve already met your biological father? What’s that man like? Is he rich? Handsome? Does your mommy like him?"
Just getting some hints from the young one about Elara Don and Damon Hawke’s progress.
"No matter if he has money or not, he is my biological father."
Bea spoke coolly, "My mommy said, she has a pretty good impression of him."
Elara Don has a pretty good impression of Damon Hawke, who pretends to be an ordinary man!
Seems like Damon Hawke really has a knack for pursuing women.
Cole Hawke’s lips curled up slightly, a glint flashed through his eyes.
"So, looks like I’ve got no chance?"
Cole Hawke picked up Bea, pretending to be regretful and disappointed.
"Mm-hmm."
Bea wiggled his tiny body, "Brother, if you don’t want to pick me up after school, I can go back by myself."
"What do you mean? Isn’t your mommy still not together with your biological father?"
Cole Hawke laughed lightly, tweaking the little guy’s tiny nose.
"Bea, I will silently guard by your mommy’s side. If she’s happy, then I’ll bless her. If she’s not, then I’ll make her happy."
He will plan step by step to make Elara Don his woman!
"Sigh, mommy’s charm is such trouble, hurting so many good young men."
Bea sighed like a little adult after hearing Cole Hawke’s words.
Cole Hawke couldn’t help but laugh out loud, "So, I have to properly cater to you, the little smart one, and have you say nice things to your mommy."
"Useless, brother, there are too many people flattering me. Am I that easy to deceive?"
"Yes, yes! Brother will take you to eat!"
"What tasty food are we eating? I’ll tell you, even if you bribe me with food, it won’t work."
"..."
Photography studio.
Elara Don received a call from Cole Hawke, telling her that he’s taking the little guy out to eat, not to worry.
She felt relieved.
No need to pick up her son, she can peacefully accompany a certain troublesome female celebrity.
Victoria Don kept stopping, instructing Elara Don to explain over and over.
Finally, probably getting tired of filming, she impatiently finished shooting the last commercial.
"Alright, we’re done."
Manager Tailer saw the cameraman give him an OK gesture, and let out a long breath.
"Charlotte, thank you so much for today."
Manager Tailer thanked Elara Don again.
Elara Don smiled, "Don’t mention it, we’re colleagues, helping each other is expected."
Speaking of it, Victoria Don being troublesome was actually because of her.
She dragged down the filming crew.
"Then I’ll head out first."
Elara Don was eager to go home to see her son, and greeted Manager Tailer before leaving.
Outside, seeing it’s getting dark, she planned to hail a cab.
Just then a private car approached, "Hey beautiful, need a ride?"
Elara Don glanced at him, somewhat hesitant.
The man wore a baseball cap, smiling warmly.
"No, I’m waiting for a taxi."
It’s not a legitimate taxi service, not very safe.
"This area is rather secluded, taxis rarely come this way. You could call one, but it might be hard to get a ride."
The driver smiled, "Miss, don’t worry, I’m a ride-share driver too, living nearby, was just thinking of heading home, saw you wanting a ride, just offering you a lift out of kindness."
The driver said, showing the ride-share badge in front of Elara Don.
Seeing this, Elara Don thought for a moment, then happily opened the car’s back door.
"Then thank you, driver, once we reach the destination, I’ll pay you accordingly, I won’t shortchange you."
"Alrighty."
The driver started the car and turned away.
Along the way, Elara Don saw the driving route was correct, so she didn’t pay much attention and started browsing news.
Not long after, the car suddenly jolted.
Elara Don steadied herself, raised her eyes to look out.
In the pitch-black night, not even a streetlight.
Where is this?
Seems like it’s not the route home!
Elara Don’s alarm bells went off, and quickly asked, "Driver, isn’t this route not the way to my home?"
"Miss, don’t worry, I’m just taking a shortcut. After this path, we’ll hit the main road."
The driver said, the car speeding ahead.
Elara Don’s lips were tightly pursed, looking at the increasingly remote road outside, her heart pounded.
Something’s wrong!
This driver is lying!
He definitely has bad intentions!
Elara Don pretended to look at the scenery outside, but secretly opened her phone.
Upon seeing the first name, she sent her current location to him, along with inputting four words.
"Tom, save me."
At this moment, her phone suddenly rang.
Elara Don’s tense nerves jumped, she picked it up and glanced.
It was Cole Hawke calling!
She was just about to answer, when the car suddenly braked hard.
Elara Don’s body lunged forward, her phone fell to the ground.
"Hey, Elly, you’re not off work yet? Want me to take Bea to pick you up?"
The sound of Cole Hawke came from the phone.
Elara Don looked at the driver in the cabin as he turned with a vicious look, reaching to grab her, frightened she screamed, "Brother Hawke, help!"
Then, without time to pick up her phone, she grabbed her bag, opened the car door, quickly got out, and ran forward with all her might.
"Help, is anyone there?"
"Stop, you can’t escape!"
Behind her came the man’s shouting, and ever-closer footsteps.
Elara Don ran desperately, heart racing.
This place was remote, with only woods and river.
Desolate.
This man definitely had a plan!
"Stop running now!"
The man’s voice echoed in the air.
Heavy breathing and footsteps were close by.
The man’s hand grabbed her collar, grinning malevolently.
"Hey beautiful, someone wants me to take good care of you. Just listen to brother, we’ll take heaven as blanket, earth as seat, and have some fun!"
Someone wants him to defile her?
Who?
Elara Don was shocked, seeing the man’s malicious face, she quickly pulled out a spray from her bag, aimed it at the man’s face and sprayed.
"Ah!"
The man was caught off guard, screamed miserably, and backed off a few steps.
Elara Don swallowed hard, and ran forward again.
"You bitch, stop right there!"
The man cursed angrily, chasing after her again.
Elara Don looked around, and rushed into a nearby thicket.
The man continued pursuing relentlessly behind.
Elara Don was panting heavily, feeling like her heart was about to leap out of her chest, but dared not stop.
As she rushed out of the woods, seeing the slope ahead, she hurriedly tried to halt.
Yet, the inertia kept pulling her forward.
"Ah!"
Her body suddenly losing balance, Elara Don felt herself rolling continuously.
Until finally stopping.
