Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 262: Back for Your Inspection

Chapter 262

Chapter 262: Chapter 262: Back for Your Inspection
Elara Don finally managed to calm down the two little ones.
Afterward, Damon Hawke returned to the room and video-called her again.
Elara Don stared at his slightly tipsy face, "So, tell me, why were you with Samantha Miles at the Glorious Court Club today? Amazing, we just broke up, and you’ve already found a new partner."
Upon hearing this, Damon Hawke chuckled, "Honey, can you smell it? I can smell a hint of jealousy through the screen."
Elara Don scoffed lightly, "Still joking, huh? Then let’s not talk; I’m going to sleep."
"Don’t."
Damon Hawke quickly suppressed his laughter, "Today, Gabriel Miles, Samantha’s uncle, treated a few leaders who helped me last time, and Samantha was brought along."
So that’s how it was.
Elara Don pondered, "So, this Gabriel Miles is trying to set you up with Samantha Miles?"
"Probably."
Damon Hawke raised his eyebrows, "But honey, trust in your husband’s resolve, my mind is filled with only you, no room for other women."
"Ha! If a man’s words are trustworthy, pigs might fly," Elara Don chuckled lightly.
"It’s true, honey. Do I need to take my heart out to prove it to you?"
"Cut it out, Damon Hawke. I’m warning you, if you dare to get involved with Samantha, I won’t let you off easily."
"Honey, you’ve got both our sons keeping an eye on me; aren’t you reassured? But speaking of which, you’re going abroad without a care, and I’m still worried!"
"What are you worried about? I’m not like you, constantly attracting romantic affairs."
"Honey, doesn’t your conscience hurt when you say that? The people interested in you are way more than those interested in me."
"..."
In a high-end villa area.
Leia Quinn looked at the decorations inside the house, retrieving her previously absentminded thoughts.
This is Craig Landers’ residence.
At the moment, it was decorated cheerfully, with the taste of a new marriage.
"Welcome, young madam."
A few servants stood in a row, respectfully welcoming Leia Quinn.
Leia Quinn smiled and glanced sideways at Craig Landers.
"What are you doing? Such a big fuss."
She’s just an ordinary psychologist, feeling quite unaccustomed.
"Is this really a big fuss? Cindy, from today on, you are my wife. I want you to remember every day we are together."
Craig Landers wrapped his arm around Leia Quinn’s slender waist and kissed her red lips.
Leia Quinn blushed and quickly pushed him away.
"What are you doing? They’re all watching."
"Shy? Cindy darling, you’ll have to get used to me giving out sugar occasionally."
Giving out sugar occasionally?
More like getting amorous occasionally!
Leia Quinn playfully hit Craig Landers.
Craig Landers chuckled and guided Leia Quinn to tour the villa.
The villa had three floors, decorated with a low-key luxury.
Leia Quinn marveled at the life of wealthy people, feeling a bit dazed.
Did she just leap into being the young madam of a wealthy family?
It felt like a dream.
What felt more dreamlike was that her best friend inexplicably broke up with Damon Hawke.
"Wayne, have you asked Damon Hawke? Did he say why exactly he broke up with Elara Don?"
Leia Quinn thought of this and quickly asked.
Craig Landers finished the tour and was bringing Leia Quinn into the master bedroom.
Upon hearing this, he closed the door and pushed her against the door.
"Cindy darling, today is our wedding night. Under such beautiful circumstances, are you sure you want to discuss someone else’s business with me?"
He had asked, but his friend only said he had no say in this matter and that everything was up to Elara Don.
His friend even asked him to find out from Leia Quinn the reason Elara Don wanted to break up with him.
This left him puzzled.
Did they really break up?
But knowing Damon Hawke, if Elara Don truly broke up with him, he wouldn’t be so calm.
He’d at least come to drink and complain together.
What’s truly going on with these two people!
"Elly isn’t someone else, Craig Landers, stop touching me."
Leia Quinn pinned down Craig Landers’ mischievous hand, complaining.
"Cindy darling, don’t worry. With two kids as their bond, they definitely won’t break up just like that."
"I know, I just want to know their sudden breakup’s reason."
"The reason is they want to have some of our PDA energy."
"Mm! Craig Landers, stop touching me."
"..."
Elara Don was about to travel abroad.
Without informing the two little ones, she booked a ticket and left just like that.
Because she feared seeing the little ones’ reluctant expressions.
Sitting in the departure lounge, a message from Damon Hawke came through her phone.
"Are you boarding soon? Make sure to let me know when you arrive safely so I don’t worry."
Reading this message, Elara Don’s lips curled into a smile.
"Got it."
"Remember, stay away from other men."
Damon Hawke sent another message.
Elara Don chuckled, "You too, stay away from Samantha."
"Rest assured, I’ll let you examine when I return."
Examine when he returns?
Elara Don inexplicably thought of inappropriate scenarios.
Her face flushed, and she quickly stopped her thoughts.
The announcement urged passengers to board, and Elara Don sent a quick message, "I’m boarding the plane now."
"Okay, stay safe."
On the other end of the phone, Damon Hawke looked at his phone, his dark eyes soft with tenderness.
Distance indeed creates beauty.
She had just left his sight, and he already began to miss her.
He wished he could fly to her side immediately, and hold her in his arms.
However, he had matters to handle.
Damon Hawke opened up the documents Rhun Quinn sent.
The documents traced Gabriel Miles’ movements over the past week.
The place he spent most of his time was Elegant Tea Bar.
It seemed fitting for a middle-aged man enjoying a leisurely post-retirement life.
Yesterday, he, along with some old friends, visited Clear Spring Manor.
Damon Hawke opened a photo, narrowing his dark eyes.
Eleanor Shaw, Hunter Miles’ wife, was there too?
Did they enter the hotel together by coincidence or was there another reason?
Elara Don got off the plane and immediately spotted someone holding a sign high in the air to welcome her.
It was her friend from Country F, Helen, a smart woman with mixed-race genes, and a tech expert.
"Helen!"
Elara Don dragged her luggage over, smiling and opening her arms to her friend.
"You remembered to contact me? I thought you forgot about this friend of yours."
Helen yawned lazily, giving Elara a hug.
"I didn’t want to disturb you. You did say, don’t look for you unless it’s important, as it would interfere with your earning money."
Helen, in private, was a hacker. Besides her regular job, she took on work, having a money-hungry persona.
Initially, they met because Elara Don, while fleeing abroad with Bea to avoid potential harm, wanted to erase some of her information.
Ryan’s Corporation had business ties with Helen’s company, that’s how they got to know each other.
Gradually, they became familiar and quite compatible.
The friendship was formed just like that.
"You sure remembered my words well."
Helen yawned again and glanced behind Elara Don.
"Just you? Where’s your son?"
"Left him with his dad."
"Hmm? Found the rapist already?"
Elara Don: "..."
