Chapter 273

Chapter 273: Chapter 273: If There Is a Next Life, Let’s Never Meet Again
Watching Leia Quinn leave, Selena Taylor’s lips curled into a smile, her eyes glinting with a proud light.
Did she sign?
This isn’t enough!
Wait, she’ll make sure she never returns!
"Selena, was Leia Quinn’s cheating really nothing to do with you?"
Wright’s mother picked up the agreement and glanced at it, her expression a bit complicated.
Images of Leia Quinn accusing her flashed through her mind.
She said she was a failed mother too.
The words were harsh, but they struck her heart instantly!
How did she never notice the affair between her younger son and her eldest son’s wife?
"Mom, do I need to swear? Her cheating really had nothing to do with me, she was just making unfounded accusations."
Selena denied it, then stood up and said, "You must be tired too, I’ll head back first."
The purpose of her visit to the old mansion was complete, no need to further placate her mother-in-law.
Watching Selena leave, Wright’s mother sighed and instructed the butler to call Craig Landers.
She needed to have a good talk with her younger son.
But Craig Landers still couldn’t be reached.
Frowning, Wright’s mother called Wright Landers.
Wright Landers answered his phone.
"Wright, go find your brother and have him come back."
Did Wright know about the affair between Selena and Craig?
...
Outside.
Leia Quinn drove her car away at high speed.
Her honeymoon wasn’t even over, and she’d gone from married to divorced!
She was probably the fastest woman to get divorced in history!
Tears glistened in her eyes as Leia Quinn wiped them away, trying not to let them blur her vision.
The car sped on, and when Leia saw a curve ahead, she pressed the accelerator intending to slow down.
However, when she pressed down, she felt no resistance!
The brake system had failed!
Leia’s eyes widened, a trace of panic flashing in them!
How could the brake system fail?
It was fine when she was driving to the Wright family mansion!
What should she do now?
Leia looked at the rapidly approaching curve, swallowing hard as she focused on avoiding oncoming vehicles.
The car barely avoided the oncoming traffic, Leia’s heart pounding out of her chest.
The Wright mansion was halfway up the mountain.
On the winding road, cliffs were on one side, the sea on the other.
If her car lost control, she’d either plunge over the cliffs or into the sea.
Either way meant certain death!
Leia’s face turned pale as she gripped the steering wheel with one hand and took out her phone with the other, attempting to call Craig Landers.
Once again, the cold female voice from the phone line came.
His phone was still off!
Leia’s nose tingled with tears as she tried to dial for help.
The winding road turned again, and seeing the flashing headlights of oncoming traffic, Leia quickly twisted the steering wheel.
The road went downhill, her speed too fast, the car veering sharply to one side.
Leia stared in terror, eyes wide, trying to steer back to control.
The car snaked wildly along the road.
Horns blared incessantly as Leia struggled to regain control of the wheel.
However...
With a loud bang, the car crashed uncontrollably into the guardrail, flipping into the air before plunging down quickly.
"No!"
Water splashed everywhere, slowly submerging the car’s roof.
It also drowned out Leia’s cries.
Goodbye!
Craig Landers!
If there’s another life, hope we never meet again!
On the mountain road, Selena Taylor drove past the accident site, slowing her speed.
Leia Quinn drove right into the sea?
How wonderful!
That bitch, finally dead!
...
Country F airport.
Cole Hawke dragged his luggage out of the airport, beaming with joy.
Taking out his phone, he dialed a number.
"Found her, where does she live now?"
He wanted to re-enter Elara Don’s life and start a real romance!
Lionne Group.
"Mr. Lionne, I’ve returned to ."
Elara Don knocked on the CEO’s door, walked in with a bright smile.
Ryan sat in his chair, looking Elara Don up and down.
"Charlotte, months without seeing you, you’ve become more beautiful."
"Thank you for the compliment, boss."
Elara Don laughed gently, putting documents on the desk.
"This is my work summary from the past few months at the Hawke Group, please have a look."
Ryan glanced through it, set it aside.
"I heard about what happened, didn’t expect you and Hawke have two kids? Are you planning to quit and become the young Mrs. Hawke now?"
Hearing this, Elara Don laughed, "Boss, do you really want me to quit?"
"Of course not! You’re the most outstanding perfumer the company has trained, I wish you’d work here for a lifetime."
Ryan said with a laugh.
"Boss, I’m humbled by your appreciation! I can’t say if I’ll stay forever, but for now, I’m not leaving."
Elara Don replied with a smile.
"Is that so? That’s great."
Ryan teased, "But if you’re back at headquarters, are you planning to have a long-distance relationship with Mr. Hawke?"
"Boss, stop teasing. Mr. Hawke and I are hardly an item, no long-distance relationship exists."
"You even have two kids, and yet there’s no relationship?"
"That was just an accident! Boss, you’re so gossipy, I’m going to get to work." Elara Don laughed.
"Go ahead."
Ryan chuckled, and after Elara Don left, he picked up his phone to call Damon Hawke.
"Mr. Hawke, I’ve met Charlotte, she’s doing well, rest assured."
He’d received a call from Damon Hawke while on a business trip.
Damon had asked him to look after Elara Don in the company.
And promised that at the contract’s end, he’d give up an additional five percent profit.
That was a generous offer!
He gladly complied.
It seemed Damon Hawke valued Elara Don greatly!
"Thanks."
Damon Hawke’s amused voice came through the line.
"You’re welcome. Whenever you plan to marry, send me an invitation, I’ll certainly send a big gift."
"Okay."
Outside.
Elara Don sat at her desk.
The phone vibrated on the table.
A message came from Helen.
Elara Don picked it up and glanced, brows slightly raised.
"Charlotte, someone’s looking into your location."
Someone was checking her location?
Who could it be?
Elara Don’s slender fingers typed out a line, "Who’s searching for my location?"
Helen sent another message over.
Elara Don looked at the three words on the screen and let out a light sneer.
"I see."
So, it was Cole Hawke!
What was he looking into her location for?
Just right, she needed to settle down and deal with him properly.
"Charlotte, why is Cole Hawke looking into you?"
Helen sent another message.
Elara Don paused and replied, "Because he’s a scoundrel."
Despicably using Damon Hawke’s secrets to threaten her.
"He truly is."
Helen responded with another message.
Hmm?
Elara Don blinked and sent over a series of question marks.
Why did Helen respond with such emotion?
It seemed like she knew him.
"What did he do to you?"
Helen asked.
Elara Don’s eyes twinkled, "Helen, can you do me a favor?"
"What kind of favor?"
"Set a trap."
"What?"
