Chapter 54

Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Another Mess Caused by the Young Master
Abandoned warehouse.
Bea opened her eyes, looking at the unfamiliar surroundings under the dim light, her confused thoughts gradually clearing up.
She was captured by bad guys!
When she planned to stand up for Dominic Hawke, she was caught by the bad guys!
Who captured her?
Why was she captured!
Bea was panicking, moved her small body, and found her little hands were tied.
Her gaze turned to two men not far away, drinking and playing cards at a small table. She swallowed.
So hungry!
Could it be nighttime now?
She’s gone a whole day without food!
"Uncle, I’m hungry!"
Don’t panic, don’t panic!
She would definitely escape!
Hearing Bea’s voice, the two men playing cards paused.
"Oh, kid, you’re awake? Wait, I’ll get you a pancake."
The leader got up, took a pancake from the table, and handed it to Bea.
Bea looked at him eagerly, speaking in a soft voice, "Uncle, can you untie my hands so I can eat?"
The little guy was adorable with big watery eyes that unwittingly aroused sympathy.
The man raised an eyebrow, and did as she asked.
"Okay, uncle will untie you. I bet you won’t be able to run away."
This is the suburbs, she’s just a little kid, can she really escape from the hands of two grown men?
Bea rubbed her sore wrists, took the pancake, and smiled brightly at the man, "Thank you, uncle."
The smile was truly beautiful.
Her little mouth was sweet.
She’s not afraid even though she’s captured.
This kid is quite interesting!
The man pinched her pink cheeks, "Be good, if you’re obedient, we’ll let you go home tomorrow."
With that, he turned back to his seat and continued drinking and playing cards with the other.
Bea leaned against a corner, nibbling the dry pancake, her big eyes watching the two men, her eyes rolling around.
These two must be traffickers!
If she’s good, would they really let her go home?
Are they trying to fool her like a three-year-old?
Bea is four this year!
She won’t believe their lies!
No, she can’t just wait to be rescued.
She must find a way to escape!
"Uncle, my tummy hurts, I need to poop."
Bea finished half of the pancake, suddenly held her tummy, and furrowed her little brows.
The two men stopped their card playing, their brows knitting together.
"Kids are troublesome, Bro, take her out to the bushes."
"Alright."
The other man got up, looked at Bea, "What are you standing there for, come here."
"Okay, uncle."
Bea wore a troubled face, holding her tummy as she obediently followed the man outside.
Outside, it was already dark.
The surroundings were silent, except for large areas of wilderness, devoid of people.
Bea pursed her small lips, looked around, and felt the bottle in her pocket.
"Go, solve it over there."
The man pointed at the bushes, signaling Bea to squat.
Bea acknowledged, walked behind a tree, and squatted down.
"Hurry up."
"Okay."
Bea sneaked a glance at the man from behind the tree, pretending to grunt as if she was pooping.
Meanwhile, her hands were busy rummaging in the bushes.
"Done yet?"
The man stood, somewhat bored, impatiently inquiring.
"Almost done."
Bea put the bugs she caught into the bottle, deliberately distracting, "Uncle, why did you capture me? I want to go home, I miss mommy!"
"We captured you because you’re valuable!"
The man responded, "You better be obedient tonight, come morning, we’ll send you home."
Come morning, they’d likely sell her off in a remote place!
Bea pouted, seeing the man growing impatient and heading towards her, she quickly stood up.
The man stopped when he saw her ready, "If you’re done, let’s go back."
Bea’s eyes sparkled, "Uncle, come closer, I have something to show you."
"What thing?"
The man was annoyed, intending to approach, only to feel something seemed to pass in front of him.
Suddenly, pain shot through his arm and thigh.
He quickly looked down and saw several bugs crawling on him.
He roared in anger, "What the hell!"
"Uncle, these bugs are poisonous, if you don’t get to a hospital quickly, you’ll die from the poison!"
Bea grinned, turned around, and dashed away.
"Stop! You little brat, stay right there!"
The man’s face changed, trembling violently as he shook off the bugs, stepping forward to chase.
But whether it was psychological, he felt his arm going numb, his legs heavy as if weighed down.
Could these bugs really be poisonous!
The man panicked, turning back to shout towards the warehouse.
"Boss, come out quickly, there’s trouble!"
Up ahead, Bea gasped as she heard the sounds behind her.
Big bad guys, why did they capture her?
Was she valuable?
Did they mistake her for Dominic Hawke?
Boo-hoo!
It’s all because of the spoiled young master!
Why does she have to look just like him!
Not only did he compete for mommy, he also caused her to be captured by bad guys!
Boo-hoo!
Mommy, baby’s really scared!
Come save Bea, quick!
"Stop, you little brat, stay right there!"
She heard the man’s angry shout and the approaching footsteps.
Bea jolted, stumbled, and fell to the ground.
Boo-hoo, her little hand hurt!
Bea frowned, looked at her scraped little palm, and quickly stood up.
The man had caught up, panting heavily.
"You little brat, can’t you see where you’re headed, come back with me!"
"I don’t want to!"
Bea quickly retreated, dodging the man’s reaching hand.
Her big eyes twinkled, pretending to be pleasantly surprised as she looked behind him, "Daddy, I’m over here!"
Did someone come to find her?
The man’s nerves tightened, quickly turning to look.
Bea took the chance and tossed the last bug from the bottle at the man.
"Bug, bite him!"
With that, she hurriedly sprinted away.
"Ah! What the hell!"
The man hurriedly brushed off the bug on his arm, watching Bea’s small figure running ahead, he was furious, gritting his teeth.
"You little brat, see if I don’t thoroughly teach you a lesson when I catch you!"
"Uncle, stop chasing! That bug is called a tick, it carries a new type of Bunya virus, be careful or the toxin will reach your heart, and you’ll die!"
Bea ran, sticking her tongue out at the man.
The man was livid, rushed forward, trying to grab her.
Bea dodged aside, but unexpectedly, her foot slipped...
Beside her was a slope, Bea exclaimed, and tumbled down!
"Hey, kid!"
The man missed grabbing her, watching Bea roll down, his temple throbbing.
It’s over!
The employer said not to harm the kid, just to keep watch for a night.
And now...
A distant sound of a car approached.
The man, planning to go down and grab her, suddenly stopped.
This isn’t right!
Why would someone come here at this time?
Could they be searching for the kid?
He needs to leave here quickly!
