Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 86: Her Gaze Falls on His Chest

Chapter 86

Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Her Gaze Falls on His Chest
Elara Don was thoroughly confused.
Yet another man wanting her to be a stepmother!
First it was Evan Miles, then Damon Hawke, now this rogue!
Is it her face that screams ’stepmother’ or what?
Elara Don poked the spicy sour noodle just served by the waiter, chuckling dryly, "I told you, it’s just pretending."
Damon Hawke didn’t speak, he just looked at her deeply.
Elara Don felt a chill run down her spine under his gaze and quickly said, "Eat, eat quickly, this spicy sour noodle is the specialty here, it’s really good!"
Damon Hawke curled the corner of his lips, not in a hurry.
His gaze fell on the bowl in front of him, looking at the red surface, his brows furrowed again.
What is this?
A whole layer of red oil, she ordered this for him?
"Mmm, it’s really good. Why aren’t you eating?"
Elara Don slurped the spicy sour noodle, took another bite of skewered meat, looking completely satisfied.
The woman’s cheeks were puffed with food, like a little hamster foraging, somewhat cute.
Because she ate quickly, a bit of residue spilled from the corner of her mouth.
Damon Hawke’s tightly knit brows relaxed slightly, a hint of humor flashed in his eyes.
He took a napkin and leaned forward a bit.
"Elara Don, how old are you? Can’t even eat without spilling?"
The man smiled, a light glinted in his deep black eyes, carrying a hint of fondness.
Elara Don stared blankly into his black eyes, another scene flashed in her mind.
Nighttime at Hawke Corporation’s research department, she dining with Damon Hawke, and he just like now, holding a napkin to wipe the residue off her mouth.
That look, that smile, why does it seem so similar?
Elara Don stared directly at Damon Hawke, her gaze unconsciously shifted down to his chest.
As if she was going to unbutton his shirt and examine closely.
Damon’s black eyes fixedly followed her gaze and dropped down, then he smiled ambiguously, "What, craving my body? How about not going back tonight then?"
Elara Don: "..."
This guy can never change, always slick and sleazy!
Needs treatment!
Elara Don snapped back and tossed a large paper ball at him.
"Vinegar, could you turn around and get me a vinegar bottle from the table behind us?"
Damon Hawke, not understanding, obliged and turned around.
Elara Don’s eyes flashed cunningly, taking advantage of his distraction to grab the chili container and add a spoonful of chili in.
"Here you go."
Damon handed the vinegar bottle to Elara Don.
"Thanks."
Elara Don accepted it, smiling as she urged, "Go ahead and eat! The spicy sour noodle here is really good."
Damon Hawke considered it, glanced at the food in front of him, and tasted a bite accordingly.
He swallowed it down, but it was so spicy it went straight to his heart and lungs!
The spice turned Damon’s face green, he quickly swallowed the food in his mouth, grabbing the nearby water and downing it all.
"Ah! Tom, you don’t eat spicy food? You should have told me earlier."
Elara Don looked gleeful, "Boss, make another bowl of wonton, no spice!"
The woman’s eyes shone brightly, like a fox who had succeeded in its trickery.
Damon Hawke suddenly realized he had probably been pranked by someone.
Little devil!
Damon chuckled, pushing the spicy sour noodle over.
"Eat it, wasting food is shameful."
"I’m not eating, you’ve already eaten it."
"Want me to feed you?"
"..."
Eventually, under someone’s overbearing insistence, Elara Don was forced to eat half a bowl of the spicy sour noodle.
Spicy enough that tears and snot flowed.
She looked resentfully at someone elegantly eating wonton, not knowing how she succumbed to his intimidation and ate his spicy sour noodle.
"Tom, did you do it on purpose?"
"On purpose about what?"
"You know exactly what!"
"Don’t try any tricks in front of me from now on, got it."
"Hmph, petty!"
"..."
The night was quiet.
Elara Don, having eaten too much, dragged Damon Hawke for a long walk before returning home.
"Chloe, I’m back."
Upon seeing her friend, Elara Don gave her a big hug.
Leia Quinn patted her back, "Suddenly said you wouldn’t be back for dinner, wasting all my effort, honestly, who’d you go on a date with?"
"Hey, I’ll tell you later, let me go check on my son first."
Elara Don chuckled, releasing Leia Quinn, first quietly opening the children’s room door.
The little one was already asleep, Elara Don smiled and tucked him in, then kissed his fragrant little cheek before leaving the room.
Outside the door, Leia Quinn poured her a glass of water and sat on the sofa.
"So are you going to tell me who you went on a date with?"
Elara Don took the glass and sipped water, smiling slightly, "The kid’s dad."
Leia Quinn nearly spat her water out.
She stared at Elara, "What did you say, you found that jerk who bullied you four years ago?"
"Yeah, really is a jerk."
Elara Don stroked the rim of the cup, sighing.
"What does that jerk look like, what’s his name, what does he do? People like him should be sent to the police."
Leia Quinn’s eyebrows knitted, her face full of indignation.
Elara Don chuckled softly, said gloomily, "And then tell Bea his father is a jerk?"
Leia was speechless, silent for a moment.
True, the child will grow up, and needs face among his peers.
Having a jerk for a father would be mocked, better have none.
"How did you find him? Why did you have dinner with him?"
Upon hearing this, Elara sipped her water and recounted her recent encounters to Leia Quinn.
Leia listened intently, surprised and indignant.
"I never thought, four years ago, it was Victoria Don who schemed this? That woman is really vile, caused you so much pain. And this rogue, what’s his name Tom? If it were me, I’d erase all his memories and hypnotize him, make him my slave for life."
Poof!
It’s scary to offend a psychologist!
Elara Don laughed, sat beside Leia, hugging her like a human cushion.
"Chloe, thank goodness I have you by my side."
During her toughest times, having someone to confide in.
Leia Quinn patted her shoulder, "What do you plan to do now? Not planning to let Tom know about Bea’s existence?"
"Yeah! I need to observe him, see how his character is, if he has truly mended his ways now."
She’s only met him a few times, doesn’t know him well, needs more interactions first.
"Mm, I agree."
Leia Quinn nodded, remembered something, asked, "Speaking of Bea, Elly, don’t you think this child has changed a lot? Has he been through some shock?"
His face is still the same, but his personality has changed quite a bit.
It feels peculiar.
"You also think Bea has become more mature, right?"
Elara Don hesitated, "Maybe because we’ve returned from abroad, he started kindergarten, and was a bit frightened before, that’s why he became more stable."
