Daughter of oblivion: Claimed by four alpha(s)-Chapter 117 - 116: You’re mine to summon.

Chapter 117: Chapter 116: You’re mine to summon.
Rhydric shut the door behind him, already tugging his shirt off his shoulder, ready to throw himself under cold water and knock out afterward. But the moment he lifted his head, his entire body went stiff.
A man with white hair, broad shoulders, and a cold, commanding aura sat in the chair by the window. His back facing Rhydric, but still it was unmistakable.
That hair, posture and everything, only belong to one person.
The Apex Alpha.
Rhydric swallowed his groan.
Of all the nights... what does he want again? He was literally stressed tonight, and now the pest he never knew he had until now, was here.
Still, respect was respect. He squared his shoulders and stood straight.
The Apex Alpha didn’t turn around when he spoke, voice low and edged with warning.
"You ignored my call, Rhydric." The apex Alpha didn’t turn around when he spoke, his voice low.
Rhydric clenched his jaw. Great. Perfect. Just perfect. Silly Alpha.
"I was occupied, Your Majesty." His voice was steady, though irritation crept under his skin.
"Occupied?...You forget who summons you?"
Rhydric said nothing. He wasn’t stupid, you didn’t talk back to the king of all alphas. But inside his chest, his thoughts was sharp.
Why is he even here? Why does he keep calling him? This guy can command any Alpha he wants older, stronger, more experienced. So why the hell him? He can’t even control his own power half the time. And he knows that... so what’s his angle?
The Apex rose slowly from the chair and turned to face Rhydric.
He didn’t just stand, he unfolded, like a king remembering his throne.
The first thing that hit Rhydric was the man’s beauty. The man was dangerously beautiful.
His face was cool, calm, carved with the kind of perfection that made people forget how to breathe. His cheekbones and jawline looked well sculptured, like the moon goddess took her time to create him. Lips that stayed pressed in an unreadable line, giving nothing away.
And his eyes...his piercing, icy blue eyes, clear enough to cut through a man’s soul. One glance felt like a command, like a silent threat wrapped in elegance.
His white hair fell gracefully on his shoulder, soft yet wild, glowing under the dim light like moonlight under water. It fell around his face in a way that made him look untouchable...ethereal...yet undeniably male.
He carried a commanding presence without lifting a finger.
He was beautiful...painfully, dangerously beautiful, the kind of beauty that made even alphas tense without knowing why.
"You continue to disappoint me," he said, stepping closer. "For someone with your mind, I expected obedience."
Rhydric’s brows twitched. There it was again, that praise disguised as insult.
"With all due respect, Your Majesty," Rhydric said tightly, yet the irrigation in his voice was hard to ignore. "what exactly do you want from me?"
The Apex’s lips curled into a faint amused smile. "You still don’t understand?"
He lifted his chin slightly, assessing Rhydric like a piece of valuable property. "I want you beside me."
Rhydric blinked once. Twice.
Beside him? As what? His puppet? This apex of a guy must be stupid to think, he would let that happen.
It made no damn sense.
The Apex could choose any Alpha with decades of leadership experience. So why pick him, a twenty-year-old who could barely stop his wolf from bursting out on bad days?
The Apex stepped closer still, lowering his voice. "Your mind is sharper than anyone your age. Your pack follows you without question. You think, you do not act blindly like the others."
Rhydric’s fists clenched at his sides. Why was this man flattering him? Intelligence? Rhydric knew he had that, but still the way the Apex packaged him...like he was more than special...made him want to think twice.
And the worst part is, Rhydric didn’t trust the guy one bit.
Rhydric exhaled and ran a tired hand through his hair " why me?"
The Apex’s eyes flickered, amusement? Irritation? No one could tell. "Because the throne needs someone who can think. And you, Rhydric..."
He paused, examining him like he could see the bones beneath his skin. "...are the Alpha I want at my side."
Rhydric’s stomach twisted.
This is too much. The Apex Alpha isn’t a man who praises... so what is this really?
"I hear you, Your Majesty," he said carefully. "But I’ll need time."
The Apex’s smile sharpened.
"Take all the time you want...He leaned closer, voice dark silk. "...but don’t forget you’re mine to summon."
And with that, he vanished leaving a dark most behind, before it also disappeared.
Leaving Rhydric alone with his pounding heart and spiraling thoughts.
Rhydric ignored all the thoughts and took the bottle of whiskey and a single glass and walked into the bathroom. He needed to cool his head, body...soul everything. And he needed something strong enough to drown out every ridiculous thing the Apex Alpha had just said.
He filled the tub with water so cold it stung, stripped, and lowered himself in until the chill bit his skin. He welcomed it. Maybe it would force his brain to slow down, to process the bullshit the Apex Alpha had just fed him.
’You’re mine to summon.’ The words kept echoing like an accusation.
Rhydric tilted the cup to his lips, and gulped it. The whiskey burned his throat.
He respected the Apex, yes...everyone did. But that didn’t mean he trusted him. Respect and trust were two very different things.
He wants him. Why? He scoffed under his breath.
He couldn’t even control half the abilities boiling in his blood. He wasn’t the strongest. He wasn’t the most obedient. His own men didn’t fear him because of raw power, they followed him because of his mind, his unpredictability.
Fine. Maybe he had a brain. But the Apex Alpha could pick anyone he wanted. He had options. He had armies. So why him?
Why a ticking bomb in wolf skin?
He exhaled sharply.
Whatever the Apex was planning...Rhydric wasn’t buying that "you’ve got the brain" excuse so easily.
He poured another whiskey in his glass and drank it. The whiskey warmed his throat again. He let his eyes close for one long breath, sinking deeper into the cold water.
Rhydric had barely rested when the air shifted. The energy gathered Infront of him. Before he could even open his eyes, a body materialized inside the bathroom.
Rhydric’s eyes snapped open. His muscles tensed as he slowly lifted his eyes and he froze.
Athena? Not just any Athena...A naked Athena.
Her hair clung to her bare shoulders like silk down to her back. Slowly his eyes trailed down her body, but first it landed on her boobs. Her well sculptured soft boobs, that could make any man fall on their knees. It stood straight like it was never touched. Her skin glowed in the steam of the room, and those blue eyes...terrifyingly calm locked onto him as if she had been waiting for him to look up.
For a moment, he forgot to breathe.
Athena didn’t speak. She just swayed her hips and she move forward.
Rhydric’s grip tightened around the glass as he watched her come closer "What..." his voice came out rough and low. "...do you think you’re doing?"
And more importantly...How did she get in?"
Still he got no reply. Instead, she walked into the bathtub, got on her fours and began crawling towards him.
Rhydric’s entire body froze. Why was that move so damn sexy?
Athena tilted her head slowly, almost innocently. Her wet hair slid forward, strands clinging to her cheeks. She lifted a hand and dragged her fingers lightly down his jaw, tracing it like she was studying the lines of a sculpture.
Rhydric’s breath caught.
"Athena," he warned, voice rough, "stop."
But she didn’t.
Her body moved closer, so close the water shifted with her warm and inviting. Her knees brushed the inside of his thighs, and he felt his little brother down there...twitched. Her hand slipped to his shoulder, then down to his chest, her fingertips trailing over his skin as if memorizing him.
His breath caught
And then, Athena brushed her boobs on his hard chest.
Rhydric’s entire world snapped tight. Every muscle in his body locked, like someone had shoved a live wire into his spine. His hand shot out, gripping the edge of the bathtub so hard he nearly broke it. His jaw clenched, teeth grinding as a shudder tore through him.
His brain screamed No...this isn’t Athena. But his body... His traitorous, exhausted, overstressed body...leaned in.
The heat of her skin, the softness of her boobs and curves...everything he liked about her was right her Infront of him. Inviting him, and it made him feel helpless.
"Athena..." he rasped, his voice thick with conflict. "Stop. You... this isn’t right."
Rhydric was about to protest again, but Athena pressed a finger softly but firmly against his lips. "Shhh... baby, don’t speak. Not yet," she whispered, her voice sultry, each word dripping with temptation. "As much as I’d love to hear you talk... not now."
