Even If I’m Reborn as a Cute Dragon Girl, I Will Still Make a Harem-Book 6: Chapter 87: A Guest Arrives
Book 6: Chapter 87: A Guest Arrives
“Nine million years…”
That was an unfathomable length of time. The brilliant civilization the Dragon Eater had mentioned lasted only a few hundred thousand years at most.
And yet, she had been trapped in this dark prison for nine million years. This wasn’t atonement anymore.
It was pure torture, an unimaginably cruel punishment inflicted on a soul that had once been young and innocent.
“I have one more question.”
“You ask too many questions. I don’t feel like answering any right now,” the Dragon Eater replied with a sneer.
“I need to know the answer now.”
Lilith locked eyes with the Dragon Eater, making it clear she wouldn’t leave without an answer.
“…In nine million years, I’ve never once beaten you, Lilith.” With a resigned sigh, Dragon Eater relented. “What is it?”
“Why did you… Why did the Dragon Eaters invade this world?”
Lilith narrowed her eyes. “From what you said, the so-called Dragon Eaters were those five children, right? No matter their true nature, I don’t believe that old man you spoke of raised children who’d choose to invade another world. And I can’t understand why they would.”
She tilted her head thoughtfully. “Don’t tell me all of you were blinded by power and became monsters who devoured others too?”
“…No, it wasn’t like that. That trait is unique to our species. Even if I consume countless beings from the Great World, it doesn’t make me stronger. It only makes the black flame burn a bit more intensely. In fact, we don’t even have a concept of strength or weakness. All our power flows from the black flame or its variants. Our immortality exists only because the flame uses what it devours to repair our bodies,” the Dragon Eater explained.
Her voice turned distant and pained. “As for the invasion… we never invaded the Great World, Lilith. We never did…”
“What? But all those people outside…”
“They’re not wrong,” she said quietly. “My brothers and sisters did launch an attack on this world. They brought it to the brink of collapse before they… lost their minds. But it was never an invasion.”
“Then what was it?”
“It was…” Dragon Eater paused mid-sentence, then suddenly asked, “Lilith, after everything I’ve told you… don’t you think that old man was someone with great foresight?”
“Yes, to send his own children into the vast unknown like that takes more than foresight. It takes conviction. But what does that have to do with my question?”
“Because, the old man… was right again.”
Lilith couldn’t tell what the Dragon Eater was feeling right now.
She couldn’t understand either. She only felt a crashing wave of grief, regret, and self-loathing so overwhelming it nearly suffocated her.
The Dragon Eater’s lips trembled. Her blank and lifeless eyes stared at nothing, and her expression was caught between a smile and a sob.
After a long silence, she began another tale of tragedy with her soft voice.
“A long, long time later… the youngest, the most innocent, and also the naughtiest girl was deceived, just as the old man had feared. Someone waved a piece of candy in front of the girl, a piece they claimed had happiness wrapped inside. She ran toward it without a second thought.”
“And just like that, she fell into the abyss.”

Before the Starry Deadlands…
Upon a throne forged from the stars, the Dragon Queen, clad in resplendent crimson, slowly stirred from her short nap.
She opened her eyes and looked down upon the world below.
Everyone was on high alert.
“Dragon Queen!”
The Thoughtless Deity Lord approached her with a scowl and barked, “I’ve just received word… so, that so-called daughter of yours is the Dragon Eater itself! How dare you secretly rear that thing? I believe you owe us an explanation!”
As soon as the words left her mouth, a tidal wave of murderous intent swept over her.
Under the Dragon Queen’s icy gaze, nearby stars cracked and shattered from the sheer pressure she exuded alone.
“I didn’t rear her. I raised her,” the Dragon Queen corrected coldly.
The Thoughtless Deity Lord gritted her teeth, enduring the immense pressure. “Are you really treating that thing like your daughter? What a joke. Have you forgotten who destroyed everything you once held dear nine million years ago?”
“Of course I haven’t forgotten. Even now, the Dragon Eater is among those I despise most. If I had the chance, I’d rip out her flesh and drink her blood.”
“Then…”
“But you’re not qualified to question my choices!” the Dragon Queen cut in sharply.
Her arrogance twisted the Thoughtless Deity Lord’s expression into one of fury.
“YOU…!”
She was one of the five supreme deity lords, revered throughout the Great World—how could she tolerate being treated with such contempt?
Just as she prepared to strike back, the Dragon Queen’s overwhelming aura suddenly receded. She looked past the Thoughtless Deity Lord, fixing her gaze on the distant void.
Like a predator waiting in silence for her prey to step into range, she had suppressed her aura and ceased even her breathing.
As that prey approached, even the ever-composed Dragon Queen leaned forward slightly on her throne. A look of anticipation bloomed on her face.
“That’s…” The Thoughtless Deity Lord seemed to have sensed something too, and turned her head around.
A massive golden dragon had arrived after crossing countless galaxies.
Despite his majestic appearance, the creature moved cautiously, pausing often to scan his surroundings with divine consciousness before advancing.
No matter how thoroughly he searched, however, he could not sense this hidden space sealed off by a great array.
As he drew closer…
“Something’s not right…” the golden dragon murmured. “Wasn’t the Thoughtless Deity Lord supposed to be here already? Why is it so quiet? Could it be…”
His expression shifted as he turned to flee.
But it was too late.
The long-dead star suddenly rotated. The array that the Dragon Queen had meticulously set up opened at that moment to welcome its guest.
A massive hand emerged from the massive array and reached for the fleeing golden dragon.
“R-Regalis!” the golden dragon roared in agony as his body burst into golden light.
Countless arrays, talismans, tools, divine artifacts, and escape spells activated at once, like a storm of fireworks exploding around him.
Yet before that massive hand that could grasp countless stars and erase even the power of Authority, they were nothing.
The hand slowly closed around the golden dragon before a mocking voice echoed from within the array.
“Long time no see, Dragon Ancestor. Did you come this time in your… true form?”
