Everyone Wants Me Dead: The Villain Lord's Survival Diary-Chapter 21 – Bane Bloodhoof

Chapter 21

In the morning, the bright sunlight streamed through the balcony of the ancient castle, spilling onto the velvet bed.
When Sylvie woke up, the space beside him was already empty.
A few sparrows perched on the windowsill, chirping incessantly, as if urging him to get up.
The air still carried the sweet scent of Loli.
Sylvie, with panda eyes, felt a bit dazed.
In truth, he had taken a long time to fall asleep last night. At his age, with a naked maid lying beside him, it was hard for anyone to sleep soundly.
Rubbing his slightly swollen handsome face, Sylvie suddenly remembered that he hadn't claimed yesterday's daily reward yet. He needed to do so quickly to refresh the tasks.
"System, I want to claim my reward!"
"Ding, the host has completed all daily tasks. Would you like to claim your reward?"
"Claim it!"
Sylvie waved his hand.
The down-to-earth prize wheel spun in Sylvie's mind, eventually bypassing the potions and landing on the unit category.
Sylvie's eyes lit up, and he rubbed his hands in anticipation.
"Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the unit [Minotaur Warrior ×10]. The reward will be distributed in a reasonable form. Please prepare on an open ground. This time, no critical hit was triggered. Keep up the effort."
"Ah, no critical hit."
A moment of disappointment flashed in Sylvie's heart, but he quickly perked up. Although there was no critical hit this time, the reward was still quite impressive.
Minotaurs! These are elite units of the Orc Empire, naturally heavy infantry, equivalent to the Crusaders of the Cologne Empire.
According to memories from his past life, Minotaurs generally have the strength of a Grand Knight, but their combat power far exceeds that of an ordinary Grand Knight.
He just didn't know what this "reasonable form of distribution" meant.
As soon as the thought appeared, an intricately patterned large magic circle appeared on Sylvie's beast fur carpet, and the bright magical glow almost turned the entire room purple.
Sylvie raised his hand uncomfortably to shield his eyes.
When the magical glow faded, ten towering figures stood in the room.
Sharp horns, tough skin, knotted muscles, nearly three meters tall, wearing simple leather armor, holding giant axes half the height of a person.
These were powerful Minotaur Warriors, and just standing there, they exuded a strong sense of oppression. It wasn't hard to imagine how terrifying they would be to their enemies when charging on the battlefield with their giant axes.
"The Bloodhoof Clan is at your service, my lord!"
"Hoo-ha!"
The speaker was a Minotaur who appeared even more robust, a head taller than the others, and his rough, deep roar made Sylvie's eardrums tingle.
Why are you shouting so loudly!
Sylvie dug at his ears, a bit helpless, knowing that this was just the style of Minotaur Warriors.
These Minotaur Warriors were different from the native Minotaurs of the Kain Continent. Their skin was a deep brown, with a calm and heavy aura, while the Minotaurs of the Kain Continent had bluish-purple skin, appearing more sinister and evil.
Focusing his eyes, the panel of the Minotaur Warriors appeared before Sylvie.
[Name: Bane Bloodhoof]

...
[Name: Carl (Other Minotaurs)]
[Identity: Bloodhoof Clan Minotaur Warrior]
[Strength: Level 32 (21-40)]
[Skills: Primal Charge, War Stomp, Crushing Cleave]
[Equipment: Highland Lion Hide Armor (Common), Giant Iron Axe (Common)]
[Reputation: Slight]
...
Sylvie stroked his chin, unsurprised that these Minotaurs came from another world, not native to the Kain Continent.
But their strength did not disappoint Sylvie, all of them having the strength of seasoned Grand Knights, with Bane Bloodhoof nearing the level of an Earth Knight.
"Knock, knock, knock."
"Master, it's me."
At this moment, Loli's soft voice came from outside the door.
Before Sylvie could speak, a Minotaur Warrior near the door had already eagerly moved to open it.
As a brave and simple Minotaur Warrior, opening the door for the lord was just a trivial task!
"Hey, don't!"
But it was too late.
The door opened, and Loli, dressed in a maid outfit, was about to enter with a tray of cake and milk, suddenly feeling a massive shadow looming over her.
Loli looked up, her gaze rising from the Minotaur's knees.
She saw a towering creature staring at her with its large, curious, and puzzled bull eyes.
"Hello there! Strange human girl!"
Terrified by the massive creature before her, Loli trembled all over, unable to bear it any longer, and fainted with her eyes rolling back.
"Sigh—"
Sylvie painfully covered his face, wishing he could kick the foolish Minotaur who went to open the door off the castle balcony.
But someone had already done it for him.
"Carl, you fool, you scared someone!"
The Minotaur Warrior who opened the door covered his buttocks in grievance, muttering:
"How could that be, Chieftain? In the Bloodhoof Clan, I'm known far and wide as a handsome Minotaur."
Carl wasn't lying. In the Bloodhoof Clan, the more muscular and explosive a Minotaur was, the more handsome they were, and Carl considered himself the second most handsome Minotaur Warrior after the Chieftain.
Saying this, Carl flexed all his muscles, his body swelling like a balloon, his large bull eyes glaring, making the entire bull look even more menacing.
"Shut up, Carl! Unless you want to be made into a steak!"
Bane Bloodhoof angrily reprimanded, then apologetically looked at Sylvie:
"Sorry, my lord. We've caused you trouble. Carl is actually a very kind kid, he meant no harm."
Sylvie knew the Minotaur Warriors meant no harm; they were just overly enthusiastic.
He waved his hand, gently picking up the poor little maid and placing her on the bed, covering her with a blanket.
Loli was just overly frightened. Once her brain's stress response passed, she would naturally wake up. But after waking, it was best not to let her see these towering Minotaur Warriors again.
"You are new here, and the people in the castle don't know you, so it's natural for them to be scared at first. It'll get better over time."
"I'll first show you around the territory and introduce you to the people in the castle, then arrange work for you. Don't worry, my territory is on the empire's border, and there will be plenty of wars to fight, so you won't be stuck guarding the castle all the time."
Hearing this, the Minotaur Warriors were all excited, their massive hooves rhythmically tapping the ground, their tails swishing back and forth.
Even the steady Bane Bloodhoof couldn't help but reveal a fierce smile.
Minotaur Warriors love peace, but they never shy away from charging into battle on the front lines.
