Everyone Wants Me Dead: The Villain Lord's Survival Diary-Chapter 30 – Even the butt can drink water, that's a special skill

"Does the human legion really have so many mages?"
Baideng Bloodfang's heart tightened as he watched the Goblin Vanguard being blasted by various spells, his eyes widening.
"It's just those undisciplined humans, all casting basic magic... a bunch of mage apprentices?"
Mage apprentices were not much of a threat; their spells lacked the power to effectively harm the heavily armored orc infantry, and their limited mana meant they couldn't cast many spells.
Once the goblin fodder exhausted the mages' mana and the archers' strength, it would be time for the orc legion to slaughter.
Baideng Bloodfang breathed a sigh of relief, a confident smile reappearing on his face.
The battle on the field remained intense.
Sylvie was methodically directing the troops.
"Sword and shield soldiers, cover the militia archers and outsider mages, retreat a hundred paces immediately."
"Outsider warriors, advance!"
The warrior players, who had been itching for action, howled with excitement at Sylvie's command and charged eagerly at the Goblin Vanguard.
"Armor up! (Fortitude skill)"
"To sacrifice for the nation, to face death with equanimity! Charge!"
"Wow! Level seven or eight goblins give quite a bit of experience!"
"If you're my brother, come chop goblins with me!"
"Fodder legion, charge!"
"Face the wind!"
...
The distance of several dozen paces closed in an instant, and the warrior players collided solidly with the Goblin Vanguard.
"Take this slide tackle!"
"Gugua wa la!"
"Damn! Who's poking me in the backside!"
"Rua, rua!"
...
The battle between the warrior players and the goblins was extremely fierce, the scene chaotic beyond description, with both sides fighting with a brutality that defied words.
Poking eyes, jabbing noses, backstabbing, grabbing roots, nothing was off-limits.
Sylvie pulled a wry smile. ( ̄ー ̄)
Seeing the first wave of warrior players about to be decimated, Sylvie turned and waved his hand, shouting:
"All archers, prepare for a volley—"
"Fire!"
"All outsider mages, prepare fireball spells for a flat shot—"
"Fire!"
A rain of arrows and flying fireball spells once again fell into the ranks of the Goblin Vanguard, killing a large number of goblins and taking out some players who hadn't fully died.
"Damn it! That day, I never thought it would be a friendly backstab that killed me, not the enemy!"
A player, tears in his eyes and arrows sticking out all over his body, fell to the ground.
"Stop whining and hurry up to revive, those are walking experience points!"
...
Under the cover of archers and mages, the warrior players continuously revived and wore down the orc legion's fodder numbers.
Soon, a group of goblins was so terrified they began to kneel and beg for mercy, running around in panic, even crashing into their own ranks in fear.
The players had already fought their way to the front of the orc legion's heavily armored infantry, but these towering orc warriors in heavy armor did not allow the players to continue their reckless charge.
An orc warrior raised his large blade, cleaving a howling player in two.
"Whoa! My eyes!"
"Hahaha, Sunpiercer, that idiot, charging without looking."
"Let me assess... Damn, level 18 orc infantry, no wonder they cut us down like vegetables."
The players discussed among themselves, planning to form groups of five to try and maneuver around the orc warriors, but it was futile; they were quickly surrounded and killed by one or two orc infantry.
Sylvie knew that at this stage of the battle, the melee players were no longer effective. The victory ahead would depend on him.
"All outsider warriors, fall back and protect the archers and mage group."
"All knights, heed my command! Gather to me!"
Sylvie sat astride his Dragonblood Steed, raising a clenched fist high, and all the knights under his command gathered around him.
"Bastion of Glory!"
Sylvie uttered in a low voice, and the knights' bodies flashed with golden light. A phantom of a sword and shield appeared above their heads, then sank into their bodies and disappeared.
This was Sylvie's buff skill, not an area skill, but one with a limit on the number of people it could cover, currently up to a hundred.
The nearly hundred knights under Sylvie felt a significant increase in their defense and resilience, and correspondingly, their steeds' charging power also improved.
"Baron Talamb, next you will lead your knights to follow my army's charge," Sylvie said coldly, casting a sidelong glance at Talamb with an undeniable tone. "I'll have Claremont keep an eye on you. If you try any tricks, you'll die worse than the orcs."
Sylvie then ignored the uncertain-looking Baron Talamb, drawing the knight's greatsword from his back, its blade pointing towards the orc camp.
"All knights, charge with me, target the enemy camp! Sword and shield soldiers, follow and cover, prevent the orc infantry from encircling!"
"Yes!"
"Whoo—"
The deep, resonant attack horn sounded, and Sylvie, holding the greatsword, led the charge.
The distance of a hundred paces vanished in a flash, the Dragonblood Steed leaping into the orc infantry's ranks, the greatsword sweeping across, blood and flesh flying, limbs scattering.
The cavalry behind, their morale high, followed closely, the sound of hooves thundering.
"Boom—"
With a deafening crash, like a heavy hammer swinging into the enemy's ranks, the orc infantry was thrown into chaos.
The players watched in a daze as the Eaglehold Lord led his knights in repeated charges through the orc ranks, leaving behind a trail of severed limbs and blood, his fierce and brutal figure like a demon god.
One player, eyes full of admiration and longing, sighed:
"Indeed! My father once said, as a man, either don armor and fight on the battlefield, or don white robes and save lives!"
"Or join a guild and travel the world?"
"Or hang on the wall, framed?"
"Or drive an excavator, thanks to New Oriental?"
"...Enough of you!"
"Brothers, if I go to join the Eaglehold Lord, will he take me?"
"What can you do? Or rather, what's your specialty?"
"I can drink water with my butt, does that count as a specialty (◦˙▽˙◦)?"
"?? You should start streaming, I'll damn well take out a loan to send you gifts!"
...
Seeing the human commander rampaging through his ranks with impunity, as if in an uninhabited land.
Baideng Bloodfang could no longer sit still. He brandished his wolf-tooth club, clamped his legs around his wolf mount, and charged at Sylvie, roaring:
"Human, you will pay for angering the brave orc warriors! (Orc language)"
Sylvie decapitated an orc infantryman with a single stroke, and hearing the angry gibberish behind him, turned to see an orc with a lion's head and red skin, baring its fangs, riding a wolf towards him.
It was the orc legion's commander.
Sylvie focused, and the orc commander's information was clear at a glance.
[Name: Baideng Bloodfang]
[Identity: Orc Empire Boiling Blood Legion 18th Army Commander]
[Strength: Tribal Chief Level 42 (41-50)]
[Skills: Legion Will, Beast Blood Boil, Rage Spell, Pulverizing Crush, Beast Affinity]

[Cologne Empire Reputation: 1748 (His bloodthirsty brutality has devastated Blackriver Territory)]
"I thought you'd be tougher."
Sylvie sneered, swinging his greatsword in a downward chop, clashing with Baideng Bloodfang's wolf-tooth club.
Baideng Bloodfang felt a tremendous force, his palms aching, and his wolf mount let out a pained howl.
He couldn't help but be shocked; this human before him possessed such immense strength.
