Everyone Wants Me Dead: The Villain Lord's Survival Diary-Chapter 41 – Made a mark on it

Sylvie looked at the glowing little maid, full of surprise. He sensed a gentle, vibrant power emanating from the girl.
It seemed this was the hidden ability within Loli's bloodline.
Sylvie stroked his chin thoughtfully, concluding that it must be a restorative ability.
So, he was about to have a personal healer?
Sylvie imagined himself dominating in the player group, his health nearly depleted, when a petite maid behind him would raise her hand and instantly restore him to full health.
As he thought about it, a cruel smile appeared on his face.
Time ticked by, and the glow around Loli gradually faded. Sylvie knew this session of enlightenment was coming to an end.
Moments later, Loli opened her light red eyes, looking at Sylvie with a dazed expression, as if she were gazing at an incomprehensible being.
"Master... you?"

"Ahem—let me reintroduce myself. My full name is Sylvie Goldlion, Source of the Wilds. And what you just felt was the power of the Breath of the Wilds." Sylvie said with a serious and solemn expression, winking at the little maid in his arms.
Loli giggled, her face flushed, and she once again buried her face in Sylvie's chest.
She didn't understand why she could sense the power of nature from her master, nor did she understand the changes happening in her body. She only knew that her master was her master, and as long as she could stay by his side and hold him without restraint, that was enough.
"Master... I'm a bit sleepy. Suddenly, I feel so tired, I just want to... zzz..."
Before she could finish her sentence, the little maid's body went limp, and she drifted into a hazy sleep.
Sylvie's heart tightened, fearing something was wrong with Loli.
He quickly and carefully used a trace of battle aura to check her condition, discovering she was merely exhausted, which allowed him to breathe a sigh of relief.
He speculated that using her innate skill to sense the Breath of the Wilds was quite taxing on her mind.
Moreover, the Breath of the Wilds from him was different from the natural landscapes; his was the purest essence, requiring no refinement, which was why Loli felt so tired, as it was simply too much at once.
Sylvie gently placed Loli on his bed and covered her with a blanket. Just as he was about to turn and leave, he noticed her hand was still tightly gripping his pants.
The problem was, he couldn't pull them free...
Sylvie didn't dare use too much force, fearing he might wake Loli, so he had no choice but to take off his trousers.
"My Lord! My Lor—"
Goodbye burst into Sylvie's room noisily.
Then he looked up to see Sylvie standing there in just his underwear, and the little maid lying on the bed, instantly looking like a duck with its throat cut.
Great, now I'll have to wash my underwear and socks for a year!
"Shh—!"
Sylvie shot Goodbye a fierce look, signaling him to be quiet, then pointed to his desk, gesturing for Goodbye to come over.
"What is it?"
Sylvie sat in the chair, coldly staring at the sweaty Goodbye, as if to say he'd better have a good reason for interrupting.
"My Lord, a farmer has discovered an iron ore deposit!"
Goodbye tried to calm himself but quickly became excited again.
Since arriving in Winterfell City, he had completely integrated himself as part of My Lord's domain, seeing My Lord's interests as his own.
The more he learned, the more anxious he became for Eaglehold, and the more worried he was for My Lord.
Eaglehold was poor, with a small population and no special products to speak of, relying on barley and sour beer for meager gold.
Now, with an iron ore deposit right in front of him, how could he not be excited?
"An iron ore deposit has been found?!"
Sylvie was thrilled. Iron ore was a valuable resource, with many excellent forging materials made from iron mixed with other metals.
It could be used to make armor, weapons, arrows, and even siege engines.
As the most widely used metal on the Kain Continent, having enough iron ore equated to having potential for war.
The reason Sylvie hadn't expanded his army was due to a lack of equipment.
Most importantly, iron ore was valuable. Even though Sylvie currently had over ten thousand gold coins, investing in the territory's development could deplete it in no time.
"Where is the iron ore located, and how far is it from Winterfell City?"
This was Sylvie's primary concern.
However, when Sylvie asked, Goodbye hesitated, stammering as if unsure how to respond.
"Is your tongue on fire? Speak!"
"Well... My Lord, the iron ore isn't far from us, but it's not within Eaglehold's borders. It's at the border between Eaglehold and Buton Territory."
"And..." Goodbye added with difficulty, "And it's closer to Buton Territory. Apparently, they've also heard about the iron ore."
Sylvie frowned at this. Buton Territory was a viscountcy of the Andor Empire, a nation with different rules from the Cologne Empire, and Buton was under the protection of its superior earldom.
Currently, the relationship between the Andor Empire and the Cologne Empire was one of "no major conflicts, but plenty of minor ones."
According to the rules, such a borderland iron ore deposit should belong to the party closer to it.
But Sylvie had no intention of following such rules.
He studied the border map on the table for a moment, then made a mark on it, flashing a grin at Goodbye:
"Now this iron ore is ours. Deliver this map to the Viscount of Buton, and if he disagrees..."
Sylvie paused slightly, a glint of ruthlessness in his azure eyes, then coldly said:
"Then we'll go to war!"
