Everyone Wants Me Dead: The Villain Lord's Survival Diary-Chapter 45 – Loli understood the master's meaning

The next morning, as the first light of dawn appeared on the horizon.
When Sylvie woke up, the little maid had already left.
He was used to such things by now; Loli always managed to get dressed and leave the room without waking him.
Should he say, as expected of a little squirrel?
But what was with the neatly folded, freshly washed pair of stockings placed beside him? Was she implying he should continue wearing them?
And why were they washed, not left with their original scent?
Don't ask him how he knew.
Speaking of which, Sylvie suddenly remembered something. What did he use to wipe his hand after slapping Ye Hao in Morninglight Town last time?
It seemed to be Loli's stockings...
He carefully recalled the details of that time and considered which players were present, biting his lip as he pondered whether he should find an opportunity to silence them, and if he couldn't kill them, make them quit the game.
Thinking this, Sylvie began to get out of bed.
But just as he put on his shirt and was about to get up, the little maid entered the room with a basin of hot water.
"Master~ time to wash up."
Loli's soft voice called to Sylvie, but she had already placed the basin in front of him.
"Um... Loli, about these stockings..." Sylvie rubbed his face, pondering how to bring up the stockings by his bed with Loli.
"Does Master not like them?"
Loli blinked her big eyes, glanced at the stockings that had been touched, and then fixed her gaze on Sylvie's face.
"Ah, it's not that I don't like them, it's just..."
Sylvie felt his face heat up under the little maid's gaze, making his words stutter.
But before he could finish, Loli blushed, took his hand, and placed it on her thigh clad in black stockings.
"Loli understands what Master means... Master, you... you can take them off yourself."
Saying this, Loli obediently sat on the edge of the bed.
Her face was flushed as she gently lifted her maid's skirt, raising her slender, delicate feet and softly placing them on Sylvie's thigh.
"Take... take them off?"
Sylvie stared at the black silk-clad feet on his lap, his mind going blank, unsure where to place his hands.
Could Sylvie be such a pervert?
...
A moment later.
When the little maid left the room with a shy, red face, Sylvie found himself holding a pair of black stockings, still warm and fragrant from Loli's body.
Sylvie insisted it had nothing to do with his brain; his hands moved on their own.
After having breakfast served by Loli, Sylvie rode alone into Winterfell City. Today, he wanted to test how the System awarded Villain Points.
Last night, the little maid warming his bed didn't earn him any Villain Points, so Sylvie planned to try a new method tonight to see if he could trick the System.
As he thought about this, he caught sight of a familiar figure out of the corner of his eye.
It was that Little Chub.
Sylvie grinned and rode over.
...
It was the same familiar alley, and the same familiar chubby kid.
"It's you, the candy... My Lord!"
Little Chub pointed at Sylvie, his lips trembling. He still remembered the candy that was taken from him, which he had saved money for a long time to buy.
A quick look at "pawread.com" will leave you more fulfilled.
"My Lord, I don't have any candy today, I only have a little money left, and I need to buy medicine for my mom. Please don't take it from me, boo... hoo hoo."
Sylvie thought this was amusing; he hadn't even spoken yet, and the kid had already spilled everything.
Feigning a fierce expression, he threatened, "Money? Then I'll take your money! Hand over your money, or I'll rob you every time I see you!"
Little Chub trembled in fear, thinking that the candy thief would rob him every time, meaning he'd never get to eat candy again.
Despite his fear, Little Chub sobbed and pleaded, "Boo... hoo, My Lord Thief, can you, can you not rob me this time? My mom was beaten, and I need to buy... buy medicine for her, boo hoo..."
This was the second time Little Chub mentioned buying medicine for his mother, drawing Sylvie's attention to the matter. Seeing the kid's distress, he softened his tone and asked:
"Tell me what happened. Why was your mother beaten? Explain it clearly, and I won't rob you."
Little Chub rubbed his eyes, hesitant to believe it, but after a long pause, his expression turned even more sorrowful:
"My father died in battle, and your knight brought us compensation, but the bad guys found out. They broke into our house to steal the compensation, and my mom was beaten for refusing."
"Your father died in battle? What was his name?"
Sylvie frowned, surprised to find that Little Chub's father was one of his fallen soldiers.
He hadn't expected that, despite his strict instructions, such a thing as robbing compensation would still happen.
"My father's name was Byrne Kritt, and I'm Aubrey Kritt."
"Byrne Kritt..." Sylvie murmured, recalling a stout middle-aged man in his mind, one of his Sword and Shield Soldiers, not a knight.
He had died heroically on the Blackriver Territory battlefield, helping Sylvie and his knights break through enemy lines.
"Why didn't you tell me about this?"
Little Chub glanced up at Sylvie, hesitated, and then said softly:
"Because my mom said My Lord is very busy... Giving us compensation was already unimaginable, and we shouldn't trouble you further."
"And," Little Chub paused, biting his lip before continuing, "and those bad guys said they were backed by a knight, not afraid of any retaliation."
"My mom also said you wouldn't punish a knight for this."
"But she doesn't blame you; we're just ordinary freemen. After my father's death, you were kind enough to send us compensation."
Sylvie's first reaction after hearing Little Chub's words was disbelief.
He had always held his knights to high standards, and their monthly pay was more than generous, far exceeding what other lords offered. Such an incident shouldn't have happened.
But his expression quickly darkened. It was better to believe it might be true than to dismiss it. He needed to investigate personally.
