Genius’s Godlike Game Broadcast-Chapter 22 : Episode 22 - Bio Crisis at the Back of the Head (3)

Chapter 22

Episode 22 - Bio Crisis at the Back of the Head (3)
The hidden ending of Bio Crisis.
Because it was a cutscene that no one had ever seen, the chat was overflowing with anticipation.
― WA! World premiere!
― Was there ever anything that wasn't a first reveal until now? LOL
― True words.
As the view brightened again, the chat was filled with '?' and 'lol'. This was because, in the cutscene, John was holding a rocket launcher.
"I'm mentioning it just in case there's a misunderstanding, but the original intention was to find the rocket launcher. I just... did it on my own."
Viewers' laughter grew louder at Lee Gyeongbok's comment.
― Just did it (no one but Purple could).
― Purple doing his homework diligently, lol.
― Viewers, take a hint, please^^
― Ah, so. We need a. roc.ket.laun.cher?
― I told you, it wasn't there?
― I told you, it was there?
Meanwhile, John set down the rocket launcher and rushed over to the fallen Sandra. Her body had wounds as if she'd been swept up in an explosion.
"Sandra, are you alright?"
"I'm o... kay..."
Her face was clearly contorted with pain.
Naturally, the viewers expressed their dissatisfaction.
― C'mon;;;
― This is a bit much, isn't it?
― It'd look like Purple made a mistake.
― Ah, man, this just killed the mood.
Fortunately, the viewers' attention quickly shifted. Suddenly, a horrific scream rang out from below.
John and Sandra looked down in alarm. Grotesque bioweapons were climbing the walls, and zombies were swarming into the building.
― Scary, wasn't it supposed to be the ending?
― Is there still more left?
― Backstab Crisis level;;;
― Just let John and Sandra be happy for once!
John hurriedly supported Sandra.
"This can't be happening..."
"We need to request a rescue again, quickly."
He laid Sandra down on the sofa and hastily connected with the military.
〈Glad to hear you're safe. We'll dispatch a rescue team immediately, please wait.〉
"How long will it take? The zombies are closing in on us."
〈We'll get there as quickly as possible.〉
John bit his lip in despair.
But of course, nothing would change by rushing them.
"... Alright."
With his complicated expression, the screen faded to black.
― Eh, looks like they can't make it in time.
― Ah, I'm tired of these cliché moments.
― Can't they just show up right away?
― They'll save them anyway, right?
― They're going to save them... right?
The chat was full of people trying to sound calm, but clearly worried. The scene changed.
John and Sandra were back on the helipad. However, things didn't look good.
John was checking the bioweapons climbing up from below at the edge of the railing.
But there were just too many.
"Sandra!"
"John...! I'm almost out of ammo...!"
He whipped his head around. Sandra's face was colored in despair.
And that wasn't even the end.
He turned at the sound of a heavy thumping; at the end of his gaze, he saw the barricaded rooftop entrance.
"This is bad..."
Clearly, the zombies that broke into the building had made it this far. Surrounded on all sides, out of ammo, the two of them were powerless.
― Ah, man, so cliché. I said it's cliché!
― Just because it's breaking clichés, doesn't mean the protagonist and the heroine die, right? Right?
― Just escape already! I'm getting dizzy waiting!
― Bad game? Great game? Bad? Great? Bad? Great?
― They should replace all the people who allowed this story.
― If you kept stabbing backs, you gotta hit the front, too, right?
The chat was trembling with anxiety.
The thumping and screams from below grew louder. The faces of John and Sandra were shrouded in gloom.
"John..."
At that moment, sandra handed John one last magazine. He quickly reloaded.
But that wasn't the target she wanted him to fire at.
"I don't want you to see me after I've turned into a monster."
Sandra grabbed the barrel of the gun and pressed it to her own forehead.
― Oh, please...
― Sandra, why are you doing this!
― I'm gonna cry. Seriously, I'm crying.
― I've failed. Failed. Failed. Failed.
Just as if he was representing the viewers' hearts, John recoiled. But Sandra spoke first.
"I've already heard... from Jessica, before you came..."
"What?"
"She said that even if I escape, there's no guarantee I won't mutate... because I was with you..."
Just by her words, it was as if she was blaming John.
But Sandra—
"But not for a single moment."
She smiled as she looked at John.
"I never regretted the time I spent with you."
A close-up of her face, a smile contrasting with the tears at the corners of her eyes.
Naturally, the chat exploded.
― Sandra punch! Sandra punch!
― Death flag, stop! Death flag, stop! Death flag, stop!
― Please, just let our Sandra live, please, please, please!
― Doggum guys, how much!? How much to save her for a better ending!?
― I'll become a dog! Woof woof! Woof woof!
But, of course, their pleas didn't reach. John put his trembling finger on the trigger.
"Thank you."
Sandra closed her eyes.
With the camera panning upward, a gunshot sounded.
For a moment, as if time had stopped, even the chat froze.
But immediately, the view dropped, revealing a bioweapon with a hole through its head falling.
"Sandra...! Look!"
A glimmer of hope returned to John's face. The camera closed in on Sandra's body.
Her wounds slowly began to heal. It was the same symptom that John had experienced.
― Woooooooow!
― Sandra's regeneration triggered, right?
― Must have had the Elixir and the compatible factor together, lol.
― Ah, see, I knew it (I didn't know).
― Real talk, I'm tired of this kind of directing (picking up my dropped heart).
― The viewers are so cute, lolol.
But only for a moment.
With a thunderous crash, the barricade finally gave in and zombies spilled out.
― Oh, I can't relax, lol.
― I'm losing it (puts down the heart I picked up).
― Why put down your heart, lol?
― But she'll probably survive thanks to the Elixir, right?
John and Sandra hurriedly began shooting, but stopping the flood of zombies pouring in was clearly impossible.
Right then.
A buzzing sound of wings was heard from above. Both looked up at the same time, wondering what it could be.
Someone jumped down from a flying drone.
With a thudding impact, a heavily armored man landed. In full protective gear and a helmet, he immediately started clearing out zombies.
― Oh?
― Now this is a happy ending incoming.
― Ah, finally I can relax.
― But he's not army?
― Doesn't look like Regenfarm either?
― What is this?
As the viewers' curiosity grew, the cutscene continued.
"Have you been bitten!?"
"We're fine!"
John quickly answered his question. The man nodded and, lowering himself, tossed a grenade.
With an explosion, the zombies were scattered. The man swiftly fired a flare into the sky.
Soon, a helicopter descended from above, but it wasn't military.
"I'll provide cover, hurry up!"
As the ladder came down, the man shouted. John sent Sandra up first and then followed.
Even the bioweapons appeared, but none were a match for the man.
He skillfully handled every threat and grabbed the ladder. The helicopter began to ascend.
"Thank you for saving us!"
"Me too. But... who are you?"
Sandra remained cautious. Seated across from them, the man removed his helmet.
― Huh? Huuuh?
― LOL
― This is the kind of twist I welcome!
― Ah, that was awesome.
As his face was revealed, the chat exploded with excitement. Lee Gyeongbok realized what was happening.
"My name is Ryan Kim. I used to be a cop... but as you can see, this is what I do now."
― Great game! Great game! Great game! Great game!
― So Ryan appears here, lol.
-(Info) Ryan Kim is the protagonist in the console version of Bark.
― Got the VIP treatment for real, lol.
Reading the ongoing chat, Lee Gyeongbok understood the situation immediately.
"There's a lot I want to ask both of you... but for now, you should get some rest."
At Ryan's suggestion, John and Sandra nodded. The two held hands tightly.
The camera zoomed out, revealing the cityscape. As the helicopter flew away over a city full of zombies, the scene faded to black.
[Chapter 5. 'EXIT' End]
Along with this, the ending message appeared, and the logo for Bio Crisis displayed.
― I feel as high as ever!
― Really tore it up, lol.
― GOTY, right? GOTY? GOTY? GOTY?
― Now THIS is what a game should be!
The viewers went wild.
Lee Gyeongbok was pleased, and then his eyes widened at the screen that came back to life.
"Huh? There's more?"
The cutscene wasn't over yet. The chat filled with question marks at his words.
"Is this a post-credits scene? Looks like some time has passed. Let's keep watching."
The ruined Regenfarm headquarters.
A military helicopter landed on the rooftop.
"Clear."
"Clear!"
Accompanied by a guard of soldiers, a man disembarked and headed straight for the director's office.
The director's office was also in chaos. The soldiers checked for safety and began organizing.
Meanwhile, the man looked at a torn photo of the director and spoke.
"Jessica, so you failed in the end."
Countless question marks flooded the chat.
― What?
― No way! Don't tell me...
― So Jessica WASN'T a family member, lol.
"Wow... Looks like Jessica was the director herself."
At Lee Gyeongbok's words, the chat scrolled rapidly.
― LOL, a final twist to the end.
― She was maintaining her youth with Elixir, huh.
― Jessica Squad in tears, lol.
― Should've switched to Honey Squad when you had the chance, lol.
― Thought Jessica coin tanked, turned out it was a scam all along, lol.
While the soldiers finished up, the man turned on the computer.
It was the file Lee Gyeongbok had been unable to decrypt, but the man easily opened and checked the file.
The screen changed to the monitor.
A document filled with incomprehensible graphs, numbers, and drawings depicting cell mutation.
[Project Eternal.]
Smiling at the title at the top, the man and the soldiers packed up the materials and left the director's office, as the screen slowly faded to black.
[Thank You For Playing!]
The message appeared indicating that it was truly over.
― Oh lol, are they teasing a sequel?
― Ah... it's really finished now.
― There was probably a mole in the army?
― Next time, the scale will be bigger, seems like.
― Wow, so it's being revealed only now.
― For real, it was an awesome ride, lol.
― Lucky it was a happy ending...
Now, the viewers could finally relax and accept the ending.
"Wow... the next installment will definitely be fun too."
Lee Gyeongbok added.
His sincerity was clear, as much as he had enjoyed the Bio Crisis broadcast.
― Ah, lol, want to see Purple toy with the army as well.
― Doesn't matter what he does with those physical skills, it'll be fun, lol.
― Just take down Overlord as well~

Even though he was tired from staying up late.

Lee Gyeongbok's heart was overflowing with happiness at the viewers' genuine reactions.
