"Hmm, so it’s either that I haven’t met the requirements, or this thing doesn’t exist at all."
Su Changxing felt a bit helpless, thinking he might have discovered some secret. He continued, "Are there any other functions?"
[No corresponding permissions, unable to open]
Alright then.
As expected, there are no loopholes for anyone to exploit. Any additional functions would likely appear on the blue screen.
Ten minutes later, Su Changxing appeared on the street, seeing Zeng Lin standing right in front of him, with numerous zombies lying around on the ground.
"Hmm? Looks like you got lucky, there are no attribute enhancement resources inside."
Zeng Lin looked regretfully at Su Changxing, speaking condescendingly, "Kid, you should really consider working with me."
Listening to Zeng Lin, Su Changxing grew more certain that repeated enhancements do present issues, though he wasn’t sure what exactly. With a faint smile, he said:
"Why should I work with you? I’m more interested in working with the Points you have."
Zeng Lin’s muscles swelled again as he charged at Su Changxing with his axe.
Watching Zeng Lin charge at him, Su Changxing held his steel saber with no intention of retreat, sharply noticing Zeng Lin seemed in a hurry, affirming:
"Using your superpower must have a cost, you’re probably nearing your limit."
Zeng Lin’s face twisted with ferocity. "Killing you is more than within my capability."
"Oh, is that so?"
Their weapons clashed heavily, producing a crisp sound.
Su Changxing’s hand holding the steel saber was steady, although still at a disadvantage, he had the strength to fight.
Zeng Lin’s face showed surprise, "You’ve enhanced your power!"
"Is there a problem?"
Su Changxing dodged Zeng Lin’s attack, calmly responding.
The look in Zeng Lin’s eyes changed. This was completely different from the information he’d received. Could the organization have deceived him?
Yet that seemed unlikely; the organization had no reason to give them false information. Perhaps this kid was unusual.
The two tangled in combat, Zeng Lin aiming to end the fight quickly.
Meanwhile, Su Changxing opted for hit-and-run tactics, retreating when the enemy advanced and advancing when he retreated, attacking when the enemy was tired, aiming to drag out until Zeng Lin’s superpower ran out.
"I am just an ordinary person in your eyes, go ahead and kill me now!"
Su Changxing taunted him, raising his nose arrogantly, using Zeng Lin’s previous words against him.
Hearing this, Zeng Lin almost spat out blood in anger. This kid had the most unscrupulous fighting style but spoke the harshest words.
The arrogance on his face vanished, clearly considering Su Changxing an equal.
Zeng Lin suddenly abandoned his aggressive stance, stepping back and saying, "Perhaps we can really talk."
"No talks."
Su Changxing charged forward, dragging his saber.
"Aren’t you curious about our Security Bureau?"
"No."
"I can tell you the reason for the emergence of superpower users."
"No need."
"I..."
"Rejected."
Su Changxing ignored him, attacking relentlessly, knowing he had the upper hand and some love in this world can’t be bought.
Zeng Lin spat blood again, realizing this kid was just a brute. Wasn’t he afraid he might have an ace up his sleeve? He wasn’t afraid?
After a few exchanges, Zeng Lin finally couldn’t hold on, turning to flee.
"Running now means you truly have no chance."
Watching the fleeing Zeng Lin, Su Changxing chased while drawing his Shadow Bow, taking aim and shooting.
A black streak flew through the air, and Zeng Lin only sensed it when the arrow hit behind him. But it was too late; Su Changxing had aimed at his back, leaving no room to dodge.
Zeng Lin tried his best to evade, but the arrow still pierced his shoulder. Yet driven by the instinct to survive, he continued running without pause.
Su Changxing’s face was full of murderous intent, holding a dark arrow.
He didn’t want to kill anyone, but he couldn’t allow anyone who threatened his life; leaving Zeng Lin alive might let him leverage the Security Bureau against him.
Zeng Lin ran wildly, blood spilling from his wound. He carefully listened for sounds behind him, ready to roll sideways if an arrow came.
Yet the next moment, it felt like a heavy blow to the back of his head. He wondered why this arrow came without warning, like a ghost, and then collapsed.
After clearing over a dozen zombies, Su Changxing approached Zeng Lin’s body, picking up his phone and finding five bottles of water and five bags of biscuits in his backpack.
[Plundered an eliminated user, gained 2300 Points]
Zeng Lin’s powers were indeed strong; Su Changxing dared not relax, deciding decisively to end him as any oversight might allow a chance for a comeback.

A young man looking at his phone frowned, "Captain, Zeng Lin is dead."
He had added everyone from the bureau as friends, and their avatars would gray out upon death.
The middle-aged man looked puzzled, "Zeng Lin wasn’t part of our group, but his strength should have been strong. It’s unlikely he’d be killed by zombies. Could he have encountered a Screamer?"
The young man shrugged. "I think he was killed by someone else. The Screamer is noisy; unless you’re standing still, it’s not easy to die to it."

"Would this count as murdering a government official? I don’t think anyone saw."
Su Changxing muttered to himself, climbing the stairs to the third floor of a nearby apartment. As he reached the top, he heard faint growling sounds.
Constantly hearing zombie growls can make anyone uneasy. Only after much effort did he clear the zombies on this floor.
Each room had some foul odor. Su Changxing found a relatively non-smelly one, cleared the living room, laid out a sleeping bag, drank some water, ate two bags of biscuits, brushed his teeth, and rinsed his mouth.
With his mind slightly relaxed, he felt waves of fatigue and sleepiness, crawling into his sleeping bag and drifting off to sleep.
Close to midnight, he seemed to hear footsteps outside, jolting Su Changxing awake. He grabbed his steel saber, opened the door, only to find two zombies.
"Can’t I just get a good night’s sleep? You don’t sleep, but I do!"
Su Changxing cursed as he sliced open their heads with two strikes, closed the door, and climbed back into his sleeping bag to sleep again. Perhaps due to exhaustion from the previous night, he still felt tired after waking up.
Not until near noon did Su Changxing naturally wake, feeling particularly refreshed.
"I’m so hungry, let’s get something to eat."
Su Changxing used the steel saber to chop wood from some furniture, found books in the room to tear and pile on the floor, struck a match from his jeans to light the pages as tinder to start a fire.
He knew building a fire required arranging wood, but only succeeded after four or five attempts. In the kitchen, he took out two iron pots to prop up a can of tomato meat, opened with a short sword, and placed it over the fire to cook.
