Global Game: I Have Portable Store-Chapter 95: True Knowledge

Chapter 95

Chapter 95: Chapter 95: True Knowledge
In the pitch blackness, the sounds of zombies howling outside could be heard clearly.
He put down his phone.
A pale-faced man, with a look of determination, crawled towards the windowsill. Hunger made him feel increasingly weak and uncomfortable.
Under extreme despair, a violent network change would occur in the anterior ventral prefrontal cortex of the brain, leading to negative thoughts and emotions.
This would cause a person’s behavior to deviate from their original thoughts, losing control of their actions.
Someone who had never considered suicide might suddenly attempt it.
As he crossed the windowsill, the man’s face revealed no joy or sorrow, as memories of his life flashed before his mind like a slideshow.
"Crack~"
The body fell heavily to the ground, shattering into pieces, and life faded with the withering blood in this sunless city.
The surrounding zombies flocked over, drawn by the scent and sound, devouring the fresh flesh that had fallen from the sky.
This was nature’s gift.
······
In an attic space.
A woman in a floral dress lay in a corner, her lips parched, slowly closing her eyes, disappearing into the long night unnoticed by anyone.
······
"Ah~"
Screams echoed down the street.
Four or five people who ventured out at night were surrounded by a large group of zombies and torn apart.
This was a feast, and also hell.
······
A cold pain came from the abdomen.
A young man looked up at his companion with a hideous face, trembling, "Why······"
"No reason, this food is only enough for one person. If there are two of us, we will both die."
The companion pulled out a red blade, speaking rationally.
······
The human brain is mostly interconnected. At different times, places, and among different people, the same thing can occur countless times.

In another city.
"True Knower? He should be the one who understands this Doomsday World the best now."
A scrawny old man looked at his phone, deep in thought. He was previously a staunch atheist, not believing in the supernatural, only in himself and humanity.
Even though he had seen supernatural things before that science couldn’t explain, he firmly believed.
But now he wavered; no, he had already begun to believe in the existence of so-called gods in this world.
They silently watched humans struggle in the apocalypse, taking amusement in it, much like humans playful with crickets, caring only about the outcome, not the crickets’ lives.
"What exactly are these Extraordinary people? Can only they resist infection? Damn it, without being on the same forum, there’s no way to contact him."
The old man’s face was full of anxiety, and he hit a cement wall with his fist, causing numerous cracks to spread from his palm.

[Surviving population: 7.1 billion]
Su Changxing noticed the death toll rapidly increasing today. Over ten million died in a single day, not only due to survivors hunting but also because today happened to be the fifth day mark.
Without water, humans can survive up to three days; without food, up to seven days.
The fifth day was a dark day for those holed up without food.
They were pushed to the brink. Continuing to hide meant starving, while venturing out with hungry and weakened bodies likely led to being eaten by zombies.
In a broken world, humans would follow its path of destruction; in a humble world, they would become humbler.
[Unique title obtained: "Lonely Truth Seeker"]
[Acquired trait: "True Knowledge"]
[True Knowledge: Gather partial information revealed from the essence of things, the more known information you have, the more you can gather. Note: This is a Level A potential trait. Please cherish it.]
Suddenly, a massive influx of information from this world surged into Su Changxing’s mind, containing details he could neither notice nor discover.
In his mind, every item now had a brief description, similar to a store item description – very brief but containing some information.
For instance, the pale yellow bed in front of him.
[Bed: The Lady of the House’s bed, worth a house before the apocalypse. The bed may still retain the Lady’s original scent, worth a try.]
"Not a very serious description, nothing useful, somewhat useless."
Su Changxing judged, then noticed the bed’s info change, and the word "enhanced" appeared before the "True Knowledge."
[Bed: The Lady of the House’s bed, could buy a house pre-apocalypse. Owner usually sleeps at six in the morning, unhealthy schedule, akin to a vampire. Bed may still have the Lady’s original scent, worth a try.]
"Why did the information suddenly change? Sleeping at six means the Lady would be back soon."
Su Changxing checked the time, 3:40. The Lady and other survivors could return at any moment; he needed to leave quickly.
He glanced at the iron hammer in his hand, posting it for sale on the forum, and within half a minute, sold it for 300 points, then opened the door to leave.
Re-entering the dim corridor, Su Changxing felt a wave of dizziness after a few steps, a nauseating sensation at the root of his tongue.
The world around him began to sway, and he vaguely saw countless bright scratches on the surrounding wooden tables, forming a certain pattern and constantly changing.
He seemed to become a head.
"What the hell? That head?"
Su Changxing realized it was that head causing trouble, that the table he saw earlier was where the head was placed.
He could distinctly perceive something within his body transferring, connecting invisibly with something else.
Su Changxing held his head, staggering to the staircase, preparing to descend but suddenly fell beside the wall. Numerous bright scratches appeared on the floors and walls around him.
This seemed to be a certain type of ritual.
Using "True Knowledge" to investigate.
[Life-sharing ritual currently in progress, nearing completion]
Life-sharing ritual?
Su Changxing finally couldn’t hold back, angrily yelling at the emptiness below: "What the hell did you do to me?"
No response, only dead silence.
His complexion turned pale, as if a significant amount of blood was drained, and his fingers trembled slightly.
The bright marks around him grew even brighter.
"Will I die?"
Su Changxing muttered, unsure of what would happen after the ritual was completed.
Life-sharing, by definition, meant sharing life with the head, but did that head even have life?
Counting time silently, after five minutes and fifty-five seconds, the bright markings suddenly vanished, the ritual complete.
Su Changxing suddenly opened his eyes, clearly sensing the existence of the head, gaining an additional vision in his mind, like a computer running two cameras simultaneously.
