Global Gods : Skill-Resonance Awakened-Chapter 281: Ch 281 :A Long Journey

Chapter 281

Chapter 281: Ch 281 :A Long Journey
The Throne Room, City of Gods.
Sunny sat motionless on his throne, his fingers drumming rhythmically against the armrest.
His physical body was in the city of Gods, but his consciousness was busy watching the drama unfolding countless light-years away, peering through the eyes of his child, Shenlong.
Through the link, he used his ultimate appraisal ability, the God’s Eye
After going through their description and abilities, Sunny leaned back, a sigh escaping his lips. "The Reincarnations of the God of Cultivation, the God of Evolution, and the Goddess of Annihilation?"
It was a staggering lineup. These weren’t just any random Gods; they were the reincarnation of Adam’s old comrades.
Fate, it seemed, was weaving the band back together.
But as Sunny looked further down their description, the triumph of finding them turned into fear.
Sunny went still, through their description sunny found out that their entire multiverse was destroyed by the demon lords and Gods, all of the lifeforms were killed mercilessly.
"Killed all of them?," he whispered.
The implication was horrifying. It meant that every star, every planet, every sect, and every mortal in their home multiverse was gone.
These Gods were possibly the last survivors from their multiverse.
And the worst part?
"They don’t know," Sunny murmured, his voice filled with pity. "They are running to get strong so they can go back and save their home... not realizing there is no home left to save."
His pity was quickly replaced by anger. This was the signature style of the Demon Lords. They destroyed everything in their path.
It was a good thing that they didn’t knew about the reincarnation of the old Gods, other wise they would have directly mobilized all their forces.
"To kill all lifeforms in multiple multiverses..." Sunny analyzed the implications.
"That is not a simple feat. The Laws of the Cosmos usually punish Gods for interfering directly with mortals on that scale. If Ichor and Maledictus did this personally, their power should have diminished due to the backlash."
He narrowed his eyes. "Unless... They didn’t do it personally. If they commanded billions of Demon Demigods to do the dirty work, they can surely bypass the restrictions."
It was a terrifying thought. It meant the Demon Army was vast enough to scour entire multiverses clean.
"I need to get even more stronger," Sunny resolved, his grip tightening on the throne. "If they decides to turn his gaze toward our multiverse, I need to be ready to break them."
He refocused his attention on the void. The negotiations were still ongoing. He needed these three. Not just because they were Adam’s friends, but because their potential was limitless.
He watched Cai Zhen, who was linked to Thera. If Sunny secured one, he would get the other. As for the massive insectoid, Beru... a being of evolution was a wild card, but a useful one.
The Cosmic Void.
The silence of the space between multiverses was broken by the telepathic waves of the conversation.
Shenlong, the colossal green dragon, hovered before the three Gods. He had just delivered his offer of a thousand-year contract.
Cai Zhen, standing on Beru’s shoulder, frowned. His robes were tattered, his spiritual energy was dry, but his spine remained straight. He was a cultivator; he would not bend his knee easily.
"Work for one thousand years?" Cai Zhen asked, his voice echoing into the mind of Shenlong. "What kind of work, exactly? I am a warrior, not a servant. I will not be a slave."
He wasn’t against the concept of serving a stronger power. In the Cultivation World, strength reigned supreme.
If this ’master’ could provide him with the means to get his revenge, serving him was a fair trade. But he needed to know the terms.
Shenlong hesitated. As he didn’t know much about what the gods under his master do.
"I do not know the specifics," the dragon admitted honestly. "That will be assigned to you by my Master upon your arrival. However... knowing his nature, it would not be menial labor. It would likely involve overseeing a world, managing a domain, or perhaps leading armies against the demons."
Shenlong paused, his golden eyes glowing. "My Master values competence. He does not waste talent on scrubbing floors."
Cai Zhen absorbed this. Overseeing a world? That was acceptable. That was the role of a God.
But there was one final hurdle. The most important one.
"Can you show me?" Cai Zhen asked, his eyes narrowing with intensity. "You claim your Master can create Qi, an energy that does not exist in your universe. Talk is cheap, Dragon. I will not walk into a lion’s den based on a promise."
He stepped forward to the edge of Beru’s carapace. "Show me a spark.
Ask your master to create Qi and show us here"
Shenlong blinked. "To create something so trival, We can’t waste my Master’s time, you can give me some sample and i will replicate it"
Shenlong extended a claw. "Give me a wisp of your Qi. Just a drop"
The request hung in the void.
Cai Zhen’s face fell. The defiance from earlier drained out of him, replaced by a crushing despair.
He looked at his hands. He tried to summon a spark. He tried to pull from his Dantian. He tried to burn his own life force.
Nothing.
He had spent everything. Every ounce of Qi, every drop of essence had been consumed in the final battle against the Demon God that had attacked him and Thera. He was now completely empty.
"What?" Cai Zhen whispered, his voice trembling.
The hope that had flared in his chest was crushed.
"I don’t..." He looked up at Shenlong, his eyes pleading. "I have none left."
The silence returned, heavier than before. Thera reached out and took Cai Zhen’s hand, offering her support.
Shenlong looked at the broken man. As the Demigod of Hope, he could see the light inside Cai Zhen flickering, threatening to go out entirely.
"Don’t worry," Shenlong said softly.
The dragon lowered his head, bringing his massive eye level with the cultivator.
"A sample makes it easier, yes. But my Master?" Shenlong chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound that vibrated through the void. "My Master is versatile. Creation is his biggest forte. He will surely have a way around it."
Cai Zhen looked up, tears stinging his eyes. "He... he can still do it?"
"He is the Emperor of the Cosmos," Shenlong declared with absolute conviction. "In his domain he is the law, if there’s anything he can’t do, then no one can do it."
Cai Zhen took a shaky breath and said "Then..." Cai Zhen straightened his back. "Can you arrange a meeting? I wish to see this Emperor."
Shenlong smiled, "Hope," he whispered.
He could taste it. The despair in Cai Zhen was gone, replaced by an inferno of hope and It was delicious.
"Go on, Gods," Shenlong said, gesturing with his tail toward the distant, glowing cluster of the multiverse. "Continue on this trajectory. As soon as you breach the barrier of our multiverse, you will see a portal. It will take you directly to the Capital, the City of Gods."
The three Gods nodded.
Beru, the Zerg Prince, rumbled a sound of acknowledgment. His motives were simple, to grow stronger and take revenge.
This ’City of Gods’ sounded like a buffet where he could evolve into the ultimate predator. If he grew strong enough, he could return to the void and eat the Demon Lords who dared to hunt him and kill his family.
Cai Zhen, the Last Cultivator, clenched his fists. He was going to find Qi. He was going to get stronger.
And then, he would rain vengeance upon the monsters who took his parents.
Thera, the Goddess of Annihilation, simply squeezed Cai Zhen’s hand. Her goal was the simplest of all, protect him.
If this Emperor could save Cai Zhen, she would annihilate worlds for him.
With different motives, yet same direction the three Gods began to complete their journey towards the Multiverse of Gods
The Throne Room.
Sunny watched them go.
"Excellent," he muttered.
He wanted them to arrive faster. He wanted to show them to Adam immediately.
The reunion of the Old Gods would be a great thing, maybe returning them their memories from their previous life would also be a great idea.
He could have asked Thea to create portals and teleport the Gods Directly into the city of Gods.
But the situation wasn’t as simple as it seemed, strangely Thea’s particles weren’t able to survive in the cosmic void, they died before they can even replicate.
The only few particles surviving there were those which were linked with Shenlong, and those particles were frozen so that when Shenlong reaches a new multiverse they can start replicating and take over the entire multiverse.
Otherwise, manifesting Qi or creating portals was an easy feet for Thea, she just needed Cai Zhen to explain what it is, and she would have made it.
Sunny sighed, "Fine," he decided. "Let them travel the old-fashioned way. With Beru’s speed, it will take them a few years to reach out multiverse."
He leaned back on his throne, closing his eyes.
"For them, it will be a long journey filled with anticipation."
A smile played on his lips.
"But for me? In this accelerated time? It will be just a few hours."
