Lin Ye got up from his bed and performed a mental card draw. This time, the card revealed a doll wearing a jester's mask. As the card dissipated, a half-meter tall jester doll appeared in the center of the shelter.
Lin Ye circled the jester twice but couldn't figure out its purpose. "Hello?" Like a real doll, the jester didn't respond. When Lin Ye touched it, the texture felt somewhat like real skin. "Alright then."

A flood of fragmented knowledge poured into Lin Ye's mind. Unlike with rune cards, he could control the flow by consuming the crystal's spiritual energy, slowing the information transfer and organizing the chaotic data.
It took an hour before Lin Ye properly sorted through the knowledge. Most related to mutations and Protection Runes, with some ritual studies, and the rest concerning the Redemption Church.
The Redemption Church was a massive organization spanning multiple dimensions, with the doctrine of "redeeming" all humanity. Their version of redemption resembled what the priest had done in town, though that priest was clearly a low-ranking peripheral member. "Why are there so many lunatics?" Rubbing his temples, Lin Ye knew this knowledge would take time to fully digest.
Next were the miscellaneous items from town. The refrigerator worked normally, so Lin Ye stored mutation organs and body parts inside, quickly filling it. After organizing the remaining items, he examined the four boxes from the Station Mission.
First was the red special metal treasure chest. Inside lay a black formal suit with bright red patterns.

Next were three yellow mission chests. As Lin Ye reached to open them, he suddenly noticed the jester doll had disappeared from the shelter's center. Turning instinctively, he found the jester's face pressed against the back of his head, having stacked objects to reach that height.
"...Oh, hello." Lin Ye admitted being startled—the thing moved completely silently, even when rearranging objects. "What exactly do you do? Just scare people?" The jester remained silent, simply staring. "Fine, whatever makes you happy." Lin Ye proceeded to open chests, pretending today's card draw never happened.
The first extra mission chest contained only five bottles of red liquid darker than nutrient solution.
