God of Technology: Creating the Internet in Another World-Chapter 285: The New Features Work Great

Chapter 285

Chapter 285: The New Features Work Great
The mortal realm.
Kingdom of Dawn.
A carriage raced along the kingdom’s main road.
Inside sat Bonnie Sunstrider, a high-ranking elf and high-ranking druid, her eyes full of anticipation as she gazed out the window at the passing scenery.
She’d joined the Gray Fort Empire’s self-charging magic array research team about half a year ago—all to gather intel, though she got caught up in some minor stuff along the way.
Now, with the research team pretty much at a standstill—sure, they were still working on it, but barely—she figured she’d held up her end of the bargain. She didn’t jump into any other projects. Instead, she decided to leave.
As an elf, most countries wouldn’t stop her from entering anyway.
So she chose to head to the famous Roster territory.
She wanted to see what the place that kicked off this new era actually looked like. She wanted to spend a good chunk of time at the birthplace of magic-tech. She wanted to check out the latest Magic Conductors with her own eyes...
Traveling with her was another magician she’d met in the Gray Fort Empire—someone who really knew their runes and had serious talent. The guy was only in his twenties but was already close to becoming a high-ranking magician.
"What is that?!"
Suddenly, her traveling companion’s shout snapped Bonnie out of her thoughts. She looked where he was pointing and saw a massive beast made entirely of gears and steel racing down the road, moving way faster than their carriage.
What really shocked her though? The thing ran on what looked like pristine white wheels.
They didn’t exactly look "tough."
The contrast was honestly pretty wild.
Bonnie knew about tractors. She knew about tanks. But all those beasts had one thing in common—they couldn’t run fast. They relied on what the God of Technology’s books called "treads."
But this time? Tires.
Remembering the descriptions from the God of Technology’s books, Bonnie’s face showed clear surprise.
If they’d actually pulled this off, the impact would be huge.
Before she could fully process it, her companion had already whipped out his Magic Net and started filming. Sure, they weren’t in range of any wireless transmission device right now, but just recording video? No problem.
Bonnie realized the same thing and immediately activated her Magic Net Ring to start filming too.
"Who knew Roster territory would be so far ahead of everywhere else? Forget everything else—just this magic-powered vehicle alone could completely change how people live across the continent."
Even Bonnie, a high-ranking elf, couldn’t help but be impressed.
After passing the magic-powered vehicle, their horses got a little spooked, but with some druid skills, they calmed down quickly and picked up speed, heading toward Roster territory even faster.
The moment they entered Roster territory, they felt it—this place was clearly different from everywhere else.
Tall, eye-catching buildings. Workers everywhere. Street lights all over the place. Open plazas in front of the factories...
To the spellcasters’ eyes, there were also tons of magic detection runes around, apparently checking the surroundings.
The patrolling soldiers wore black armor she’d never seen before—armed to the teeth, basically.
But here’s the thing—the local workers and residents seemed totally used to it. Nobody looked scared. That would never happen anywhere else.
Even the passing merchants seemed way more relaxed.
One thing was clear: pretty much everyone felt safe here.
Entering the city district, they saw commercial streets, new church complexes... one thing after another just blew their minds.
Bonnie barely put down her Magic Net, constantly filming everything around her.
"Too bad there’s no wireless transmission device nearby. Otherwise, I’d be dying to edit everything we’re seeing here into a video and send it out right now. I think people from both the Gray Fort Empire and the elven kingdoms would be absolutely amazed."
Bonnie looked dead serious, not joking at all.
Because honestly, that’s exactly what she was thinking.
She was pretty blown away herself.
Right then, a notification suddenly popped up on her Magic Net.
She immediately clicked on it.

[3. Fixed known bugs...]
"The Magic Net updated? These two new features both seem to help more people see certain information. Makes sense—at its core, the Magic Net is really about passing information around, huh?"
Looking at the descriptions of these two new features, Bonnie muttered to herself, "The main difference between these two features is really just the target audience. One is only visible to your friends, the other requires following and is better suited for factions to publish stuff..."
"Wait, what did you just say?"
"I said these two features are good for passing information..."
Bonnie answered automatically, but halfway through she froze. "We could post the pictures we took here directly to Feed and let more people see them. We wouldn’t even need to wait until we’re in range of a wireless transmission device to post videos."
"Exactly! Sure, the reach is limited, but we weren’t trying to show strangers anyway, right? We just wanted our friends to see what areas influenced by magic-tech actually look like!"
They were on the same page immediately. They switched strategies right there, converting everything they’d just seen—all the iconic stuff—into images, and following the announcement’s instructions, opened Feed.
