Chapter 752: Chapter 423: I Took You in as My Little Bro, Yet You’re After My Sister? (Part 2)
Although Jeddon wasn’t particularly concerned with these ceremonies that lacked practical use, and was resistant to attending banquets filled with Metal Dragons,
when he became the center of the ceremony and the main character of the banquet, it was a completely different mindset. Jeddon was very surprised to find that he did not actually resist these.
What he really rejected and loathed was being marginalized and ignored, even scorned, by the Metallic Dragon Race. The feeling of being nonexistent in this world is indeed difficult for any dragon to endure.
This was one of the reasons he liked following Cezer; as long as he was by Cezer’s side, there would always be attention drawn to him because of the Holy Dragon’s eldest grandson.
Guided by Cezer, Jeddon found himself at the center of the ceremonial venue, becoming the focus of those present, and discovered that he loved this feeling.
After attending the subsequent banquet, the Red Dragon became somewhat intoxicated and somewhat enjoyed it. He realized that once he officially established himself as Cezer’s follower, the Metallic Dragons’ gaze upon him was markedly different from before.
"Foolish simpleton, is this all it takes to earn your loyalty and service? How laughably cheap, you bring me shame!"
In the banquet hall, where the dragons’ eyes were focused, Jeddon once again heard the Divine’s sneering, but he didn’t care, he just relished the spotlight.
"Jeddon, you truly surprise me. As a Red Dragon, you dared to make the decision to follow Cezer. It seems you’ve fully suppressed the interference and influence from your bloodline, and made the most correct choice for yourself!"
In the ballroom, Jeddon encountered an Ancient Dragon, a professor at the academy, and this Ancient Dragon professor, who usually didn’t smile or glance at him, actually initiated a conversation, leaving Jeddon somewhat flattered.
"Even though you are a Red Dragon, I can responsibly proclaim that you are one of the most excellent dragons among all the students I’ve taught."
The envious and aspirational gazes of classmates, along with the encouragement from mentors, all of which he had never received before and suddenly all at once today, made Red Dragon Jeddon feel somewhat elated.
Even though the spicy sarcasm and insults never stopped in his mind, it still did not dampen Jeddon’s joy and elation in his heart.
"Do you enjoy such occasions?"
After the banquet ended, Cezer looked at Jeddon, who was still savoring the experience, and asked with a smile.
"I didn’t like it before, but today’s banquet, I truly enjoyed."
Jeddon candidly admitted.
"It’s your first time experiencing such an occasion. Once you’ve experienced it enough times, you’ll find it boring, and it’ll be hard to maintain the same mood as today."
Cezer laughed heartily.
"I hope there will come a day when I find it boring."
Jeddon’s eyes revealed a trace of reflection. Even now, he was acutely aware that the reason he could become the focus today, the protagonist of the banquet, was all because of the dragon in front of him.
Otherwise, even if his behavior was different from an ordinary Red Dragon, he would not receive different treatment from the other Metal Dragons.
Everything he received today was due to the change in his relationship with this dragon in front of him. If Cezer’s attitude towards him changed one day, then everything he had now would vanish.
"It will definitely happen."
Cezer promised with great confidence.
For the performance of this Red Dragon, he was extremely satisfied. How could a Red Dragon, eager for the recognition of Metal Dragons, have ill intentions?
"Let’s head back and rest for today. In a couple of days, we will have to attend classes with dragons older than us, but we’ll also have opportunities to go on missions outside."
"Can we go outside?"
Hearing these words, Jeddon’s eyes couldn’t help but reveal a look of longing and expectation.
From birth until now, his range of activities had been limited to his mother’s Dragon Nest and the Cloud Sea Secret Realm. Although the academy was indeed large, he didn’t have much freedom to roam. The public areas of the school were limited, and much of the Aerial Cloud Islands were residential areas for Metal Dragons, where he couldn’t wander freely.
"Yes, but even if you can go outside, you must follow the school’s rules and code of conduct, don’t think about causing trouble!"
"Of course."
Jeddon nodded repeatedly. He knew the school’s rules and the code of conduct written by the dean himself by heart. He remembered every rule clearly.
Cezer, satisfied, returned to the Dragon Nest. Speaking of the Dragon Nest, it was actually a castle that could accommodate adult dragons, but considering the independence and autonomy of the Dragon Clan, every dragon had its own independent Dragon Nest, avoiding communal living as it could be chaotic.
"Cezer!"
However, Cezer had barely laid down when he received a message from outside the academy.
"Father!"
"Prepare yourself, your sister Nancy will be enrolling soon. Remember to welcome her and help her adjust to the academy environment, and help resolve any issues she may have."
Terramus was straightforward with his eldest son.
"Nancy?"
Cezer hesitated for a moment at his father’s request but quickly recalled the news of having a sister,
"Is she Aunt Camilla’s daughter?"
"What Aunt Camilla? That’s your little mother. Of course, you don’t have to call her that if you don’t want to, but you must acknowledge this sister, and in the academy, you must take good care of her and not let any harm come to her!"
"Father, do you think, given your daughter’s identity, she could possibly be wronged in the academy?"
"There are plenty of audacious fellows in the academy who would dare plot against your aunt back when she was a student."
Terramus snorted coldly. He wasn’t worried about his son, but he was concerned about his daughter, as one could never be sure how many male dragons had their eyes on her.
"So you must protect your sister and not let any ill-intentioned male dragons get close to her."
"I’ll take care of it!"
Cezer readily agreed, though he didn’t give it much thought. To him, this was an easily accomplished task; who in the academy would dare to offend a Holy Dragon Descendant?
However, reality proved that his father’s concern was entirely warranted. When Cezer saw his sister from the young dragon on the floating ship, he was momentarily stunned because she was extraordinarily beautiful.
It was a beauty combining the elegance and nobility of a Golden Dragon and the exquisite magnificence of the Gemstone Dragon Clan. Although Cezer also possessed a similar beauty, such beauty manifested differently in a female dragon versus a male dragon.
"Nancy!"
Cezer, with Jeddon in tow, took the initiative to greet his sister, who appeared a bit shy and timid.
As they got closer, Cezer was even more awed by his sister’s sleek, agile, slender, and graceful form.
He first noticed her eyes, a pair of extremely beautiful dragon pupils, with deep golden irises and a cold blue light shimmering in the depths of her pupils like crystals.
From the top of her head extended four dragon horns, long and winding, naturally adorned with the Sun God Pattern, with tips sharp and translucent like crystal, refracting rainbow colors in the sunlight.
Her dragon wings were broad and radiant, originating from their grandfather’s glorious wings, but her dragon scales were crystal clear with a golden sheen. Beneath those scales were faintly visible golden blood vessel-like patterns spreading within, exuding an indescribable ethereal, delicate, and graceful feel.
"Brother!"
Seeing her brother, whose form and appearance were somewhat familiar yet extremely foreign, young Nancy timidly called out but took a step back.
This reaction left Cezer stunned, and he quickly noticed the bursting flames beside him. Turning his head, he saw a Red Dragon with a slightly dazed face, little flames spurting from its mouth and nostrils.
