Chapter 756: Chapter 425: I’m Your Brother, Don’t Be Afraid—Show Me
Upon hearing Jeddon’s expressed intention, Cezer shook his head, not optimistic.
Based on Jeddon’s current thoughts and behavioral guidelines, he was essentially a metal dragon wearing the skin of a red dragon. Which colorful dragon could possess virtues like humility, courtesy, and thrift?
There’s no need to mention the weakest, the white dragon. Even the blue and green dragons, who are best at establishing family order, do not possess these qualities. Not to mention the Colorful Dragon Clan, even within the Metallic Dragon Race, there are very few dragons with such admirable qualities.
With just the word ’humility,’ ninety-nine percent of metal dragons would get eliminated. Metal dragons are just more stable compared to colorful dragons. The inherent arrogance of the dragon species is no less and often surpasses that of the Colorful Dragon Clan.
"As long as she’s female, it’s fine. I’m a red dragon, and I don’t have many demands for a mate; just someone who can lay dragon eggs for me and leave children."
Jeddon answered helplessly.
Cezer was still thinking about a mate for him with a golden dragon’s mindset. But as a red dragon, if he had any requirements for a future red dragon mate, he might as well just resign himself to being alone for life.
What requirements can a red dragon meet? Expect a female red dragon to have morals or a concept of chastity? That’s ridiculous; it’s laughable to even say it out loud.
"That won’t do. With your current effort and achievements, if you’re only looking for an ordinary red dragon as a mate, it would be an insult to you."
Hearing Jeddon’s self-deprecating words, Cezer frowned, this was his follower, how could he be so discouraged and aimless.
"I have no choice."
"No, you do!"
Cezer declared decisively, then asked somewhat confusedly,
"Why do you insist on choosing a future mate from the Colorful Dragon Clan? You could, like my father, look for a Gemstone Dragon or the rarer Sub-iron Dragon Clan, these are all good options.
Or you could find another red dragon like you, who has received academy education and changed its innate flaws."
"I’m still young, so I don’t need to consider these things for now, but I will seriously think about these suggestions."
Jeddon replied.
"You’re already a young dragon, you’d better start considering when you enter adolescence. It’s not too early, and it’s time to start planning."
Seeing the indifferent red dragon, Cezer made up his mind,
"I will help you find suitable dragons."
"Help me find them?"
Caught off guard by such a kind gesture, Jeddon was puzzled as to why he felt no joy at all.
"Yes, how many mates do you want?"
"O-One will do."
Jeddon hesitated for a moment before answering.
"Just one is enough? That makes it easy!"
Cezer assumed the demeanor of a leader, waving his dragon claw and making a grand promise,
"Leave this matter to me, I guarantee that when you’re of suitable age, you’ll have a wife, children, and a happy family."
"What about you?"
Jeddon suddenly asked.
"Me?"
The question abruptly directed at him, Cezer seemed a bit flustered,
"I haven’t thought about this yet, but I probably will choose a mate from either the Metallic Dragon Race or the Gemstone Dragon Clan."
Even so, this Holy Dragon’s eldest grandson thought for a bit, giving an answer that matched his current identity and bloodline.
"Will you also choose multiple mates like your father?"
Jeddon asked, quite curious.
This was something he had always wanted to know, and today seemed like a good opportunity to ask.
"No, probably not."
At this point, Cezer’s tone was less certain.
Though most Metal Dragon Clan members have only one mate, under the influence of his grandfather and father, he felt finding multiple mates was acceptable, or even normal.
This branch seemed to have particularly strong bloodline powers, such that even when impregnating a female dragon, they often only produced one dragon egg, unlike other dragon clans, where the usual gold dragon might lay two to three dragon eggs at a time, with fewer occurrences of just one.
Even from the perspective of bloodline inheritance, looking for multiple mates was the right choice. However, Cezer didn’t know what changes might happen in his life; he was still young. Although he was twenty years older than Jeddon in real age, they didn’t differ much in age terms.
"I think you should follow your father’s example."
Jeddon gave his suggestion.
"Let’s talk about this later. My bloodline isn’t as strong as my father’s, so there might not be such problems with fertility."
Cezer interrupted when it seemed the red dragon was enthusiastically going to continue exploring topics related to his marriage and fertility,
"Alright, enough for now, let’s not discuss matters that are still far off."
"Okay."
Jeddon felt a bit regretful, but agreed to stop the conversation.
Afterwards, Cezer didn’t rest, but left the Dragon Nest to wander around the academy, partially to gauge reactions to his sister’s enrollment, and also to subtly understand the opinions and evaluations of those who had seen his sister.
What worried this Holy Dragon’s eldest grandson was that the situation was indeed as his father had said, not optimistic. There were quite a few male dragons coveting his sister.
Even though his sister was still a young dragon, as seen from the eyes of some morally corrupt dragons, young dragons grow up, and soon would enter mating season.
The extent of interest and admiration for the Holy Dragon descendants was beyond Cezer’s expectations, making him feel both angry and a bit disappointed.
It turned out that much of the special treatment he received at the academy was largely due to his bloodline, rather than his own efforts.
However, Cezer wasn’t bothered by these emotions because, comparatively, the problems his sister faced were obviously tougher.
When he had just enrolled, due to his inherent Power of Deathly Silence, many classmates were both in awe of him and kept their distance, treating him with respect but avoiding him.
While some dragons were infatuated with his appearance, in reality, not many dared to approach him, except for a clumsy red dragon who consistently followed him. But his sister didn’t have such problems.
"Wait, really none?"
Cezer suddenly stopped, realizing something was off. The fusion of ice and fire attributes surely had its peculiarities.
"Nancy!"
After a round through the academy and understanding the general situation, Cezer went to his sister Nancy’s Dragon Nest, which was set up like a crystal-based, ice-adorned Ice and Snow Castle.
Cezer was slightly surprised that the layers of ice piled around the castle seemed thicker than when he had left.
"Brother Cezer!"
Faced with her brother’s sudden visit in the evening, the lone dragon Nancy was very delighted, as she was not often alone since her birth, with many white dragons usually around her.
"I remembered something."
"What is it?"
"What is your Dragon Breath like? Is it flames or frost?"
The breath is the most direct way to manifest the power essence of a giant dragon. Just like his own breath, a flame imbued with intense Power of Annihilation, turning everything it touches into ashes.
"Mother told me not to reveal my Dragon Breath in front of other dragons."
The young dragon, beautiful to the point of being surreal, answered cautiously.
"But I’m your brother!"
Cezer steadied his heart, indeed, his sister was just like him, a unique anomaly,
"Don’t be afraid, show me."
"Alright then!"
Nancy hesitated for a moment, then, thinking of her brother’s identity, opened her slender dragon mouth, and a frosty white conical dragon flame surged out from her mouth.
Although it was flame, Cezer felt no warmth, instead, there was an icy chill that made his heart tremble.
"What’s this?"
Cezer quickly took out a shield from his storage equipment and brought it close to his sister’s Dragon Breath. Just contacting a strand of the frosty white flame, large patches of frost began spreading, and ice crystals formed where the flame touched.
