"Even if you try, perhaps you will become stronger, but you can never become the Dragon King."
"Oh? Why do you say that?"
Noah cast a searching gaze at Odin, seeking answers from the former Divine King.
"I'm not very familiar with the path you're on, but I know this much: the key to ascending to Dragon King lies in acquiring World Source Power, and nothing else."
"Source Power?!"
Noah awakened to the realization that the world-destroying path the Black King had shown him ultimately aimed at plundering World Source Power, acquiring this miraculous force capable of rendering the mortal into the immortal.
"That's right, it is the fundamental power that sustains the world's operation, allows all things to reproduce, and enables all races to thrive. Only by obtaining such power can you become the Dragon King."
"Must I destroy the world to acquire this power?"
Noah asked in confusion.
"Of course not. It's said that saving the world is also a way."
"Save the world? How to save it?"
There was a strange look in Noah's eyes; it seemed so simple when spoken, but how exactly should it be done?
Just like in the beginning, he knew devouring the world would allow him to ascend to Dragon King, but how to devour the world was a mystery until the Black King revealed everything to him, and Noah understood how to tread this path.
But now Odin was telling him that acquiring Source Power through saving the world, thus ascending to Dragon King, was possible, but how should it actually be done?
For beings of his level, apart from their Mother Realm, other worlds were generally not accommodating because they were too destructive.
However, Noah found his existence quite special; entering other worlds faced almost no rejection or suppression. At least, Noah didn't feel targeted by World Will.
But even if he could enter other worlds, so what? Why would the world divide its fundamental Source Power to sustain an outsider like him?
One must understand that World Will lacks self-thinking consciousness, and asking an unconscious will to consciously divide its essence undoubtedly goes against its instincts.
Only wisdom can counter instinct suppression. When World Will has independent thought like the Wisdom Race, capable of making decisions, can it actively divide its essence.
But to let the World Will possess self-thought, capable of thinking, the world must be on the brink of destruction. However, by then, the world would be near destruction, with much of its essence consumed.
Even if saved, would there be excess power to divide? A world on the brink of destruction, even if successfully saved, would not fare much better. Dividing more of its fundamental Source Power could ruin it further; not saving it might be better.
How to save the world? What kind of world to save? After saving the world, how to acquire Source Power from World Will? These crucial points are unknown; Noah only knows the result but remains utterly clueless.
"If I knew, I wouldn't be contemplating how to return to the Divine Throne."
In response to Noah's inquiry, Odin gave a very logical answer. As a former Divine King, if he knew a more perfect path, he certainly wouldn't tread the same path he once did.
Or perhaps he recognized the path was riddled with thorns, far more challenging than the path he had already ascended to its peak, which was smoother and more straightforward.
"World Source Power!"
Noah began to ponder, as this is the key to becoming the Dragon King; only by acquiring Source Power can he complete the ultimate transformation.
The current known ways to acquire Source Power are through world destruction and the world-saving path Odin hinted at. World destruction is an unfeasible path, destined to be a dead-end, a road to ruin; even if temporarily successful, the ultimate fate is bound to be tragic.
But how to become a Savior, to acquire Source Power as a Savior, leaves Noah completely in the dark. Truly, there are not many worlds that genuinely need saving, as worlds often have self-saving capabilities.
The Abyss and Hell invaders are indeed the culprits behind the downfall of many worlds, yet even Hell achieves effective results in only one out of ten invasions. As for the Abyss, it's so ineffective there's no point in watching.
The greatest sources of destruction can only do so much; thus, finding a world on the brink of destruction poses a challenge.
Furthermore, a world on the brink of destruction must be of a certain scale. Ordinary small worlds, if tormented to such an extent, even if World Will desires, cannot divide Source Power as it's nearly exhausted, not a drop remains.
It's like saving a beggar; can you expect him to pay you back? He needs the money himself to buy tomorrow's food to sustain his life — it's impossible to give away.
But how to choose a "rich wife" among the worlds on the verge of destruction?
This again raises a paradox because a Material Realm rich in Source Power doesn't require external assistance. The quantity of Source Power represents the strength of its self-saving ability; World Will can mass-produce Saviors by consuming Source Power, defending against foreign invasions, eliminating the risk of destruction.
The best method would naturally be to find a world near destruction but still with some reserves, to acquire Source Power through saving such a world.
But theory is just theory; how to actually operate it? It's far more difficult than the world-destroying path; gaining Source Power through destruction only requires completing the first step: devouring the Mother Realm, and thereafter destroying more worlds. Simply finding suitable targets isn't as difficult.
