"Do you know Terramus' child, Cezer?"
"King of Ashes, I heard you're preparing to form a battle group for him."
Had it been only his own child, Ilya wouldn't have had much to think about. But coincidentally, his elder brother's firstborn exhibited similar traits and received immense favor and everything else from their father.
In such a comparison, even with Ilya's gentle nature and morals comparable to a saint, he couldn't help but feel discontented in his heart.
"Yes, I am preparing to form the Ash Battle Group for him."
Noah naturally accepted the arrangements for his eldest grandson, and then explained the reasons for his different treatment towards Hades,
"I originally planned to arrange Hades along Cezer's growth path, teaching him to control his power. Once he can regulate it effortlessly, I would have him join the Dragon Academy or anonymously enroll in another high-level academy for compulsory education.
But your child's power is constantly growing and changing. His power far exceeds Cezer's awakening Power of Ashes in quality and quantity, which is not something he can control shortly."
"So, does he have to be like a prisoner?"
Though the reason was clear, Ilya still felt unsatisfied, overlooking the death force that even he couldn't exempt. His child was so well-behaved and lovable.
"In the short term, yes. But in the future, the extent he can reach depends on how he masters his power. If his control speed can catch up with the growth rate, he can walk out of this tower."
"Father, have you observed Hades' death power closely?"
"Hmm? Why? Did you discover something?"
"From my understanding, Cezer's Power of Ashes is a destructive and annihilative spiritual power."
"Hmm."
"But Hades' death power has a devouring and plundering nature. The vitality lost from me wasn't gone but unconsciously collected by him, which is why his power grows constantly."
"It is so, which is why I said his death power surpasses Cezer's Power of Ashes. Without control, given his temperament, falling and losing himself are only a matter of time."
Noah understood all too well how tempting rapid power growth could be, as he often worried about his slow power growth. Because of this, he eagerly anticipated the harvest moment of the Golden Tree Fruit.
"But is there a possibility, if he devours enough vitality and is satisfied, perhaps his Death Domain won't spiral out of control, and he can take this opportunity to control it."
"You want Hades to fill up all at once, but whose life are you going to use to feed him?"
Noah understood Ilya's thought.
He believed his child's frequent power outbursts and continuous loss of control were because he was always in a state of hunger, thinking feeding him would solve it.
"The world I'm conquering now, the Insect Nest World, ruled by various highly reproductive bug races, has almost hollowed the world out, waging wars of plunder between nations ruled by queen insects..."
"You want to take your child to the Plane Battlefield?"
Noah was surprised by Ilya's idea. Sending a newly born child as a mighty weapon to the battlefield indeed seemed like something only a ruthless commander could do, but at this moment, Ilya was a loving father.
"There, the bugs are almost endless, no matter how many are killed, more will emerge. I think staying there, Hades could be satisfied."
"But haven't you considered? Considering his current temperament, once he tastes the exquisite taste of slaughter, indulging in it could result in catastrophic consequences."
Power must match temperament. Without the will to govern the power, the ultimate conclusion will be chaos and downfall, like a commoner, abruptly wealthy, who ends up with nothing after a brief celebration.
"This is where I need your guidance, father. I will not take him to the battlefield for now, as my life essence cannot withstand his domain."
"What are you planning to do?"
"I will gather divinity in ten years."
Ilya spoke his plan with a calm tone, devoid of any grand emotion, as if narrating the most ordinary thing, leading Noah to remain silent for a while.
He did not doubt his eldest son's ability to gather divinity, as divinity was the first threshold a legend that wanted to embark on the path of Divine Enthronement needed to cross. Only by gathering divinity can one be deemed an Ascender.
The so-called divinity is an Ascender's understanding of the Rule Power, the utmost expression of Domain Power, representing immortality.
Even the short-lived species, having reached this step, once gathered divinity, could effortlessly surpass many Longevity Species in years of existence, witnessing the ebb and flow of history and the rise and decline of ages.
But gathering divinity also involves a choice of path, not only choosing to embark on the Divine Enthronement path but also which domain to involve: Light and Darkness, Life and Death, Thunder, Mountains, Rivers, Sky, and Earth... The choice of domain is typically set during the gathering of divinity.
Even though expansion is possible later, it can only build on the original foundation, like choosing Light originally. Unless one completely abandons everything, it can never circle to the Dark Domain.
"Have you decided?"
"This is not an impulsive decision, father; it's a path I decided on long ago."
Facing his father who spoke up after a long silence, Ilya showed a bright smile,
"Have you forgotten the goal I set for myself when I was young? I want to become the Supreme Lord of the Heavenly Realm."
"Heavenly Realm Lord it is then, not bad."
Though Noah never interfered with his offspring's decisions on such significant matters, he felt some regret for the offspring embarking on different paths.
"What domain do you plan to involve yourself in?"
"Sacred, Light, and Courage."
"Looks like soon enough, I'll have another child reaching strong divine power."
Upon hearing Ilya's goal, Noah chuckled and made a jest, because any domain could become a strong divine power. Of course, the challenges he would face would scale proportionately.
The Divine Position Domain can be literally one pit for one radish, effort, and talent aren't entirely without effect, but one might say they are of no practical use.
No matter how gentle the temper of a divine being is, they will not relent in the struggle for divine authority. Of course, there's a kind of very fortunate situation.
Occasionally, some ancient strong divine beings get tired of being gods and don't want to do it anymore, leaving behind their divine positions. Such events did happen.
Though these events happen in unknown million years, they are not to be expected. To truly become a powerful divine, one must fight.
"Father, my current goal is only to gather divinity; whether I can ascend the divine throne is uncertain, let alone expect to become strong divine power."
"If you have no such ambition, then stay back and raise the child, you don't have to go to the battlefield, letting Hades take your place after he grows up."
To his eldest son's modesty, Noah was a bit disappointed. With such a gentle nature, how could he compete with the gods?
"He will have his own subordinates, forming an army loyal to him."
Even when facing his father's rebuke, Ilya remained placid, revealing his hopeful expectations for his child's future, even if that child was the inherent Netherworld King.
