Although casualties are inevitable in the attack on the Abyss, casualties are part of war, and on the contrary, by slaughtering demons, the Golden Tree will give more positive feedback.
Slaughtering demons will not only nurture Blood Origin Fruit but will also yield Sky Fruit, Natural Fruit, and other special fruits that allow Noah to glimpse the ancient memories of the world, and more importantly, gain the favor of the Material Realm's will.
Noah already knows why he receives special treatment when interacting with other Material Realms. It is precisely because the will of these worlds can feel the merit he has established.
"I wonder what these fruits will eventually turn into?"
Noah reached out with his Dragon Claw and picked a Dark Fruit from the tree, swallowing it before it melted, personally tasting the despair and unwillingness contained within it, bearing everything with the spiritual will of the Dragon King.
The extreme negative emotions of a mere thousand people, even on the scale of tens of thousands, are difficult to shake Noah's spiritual will. But what if it were millions, tens of millions, filled with the despair and unwillingness of an entire world?
War has always been perilous; the war of conquest is unlikely to always win. There are also battles where entire legions are annihilated, and the despair and pain brewed from these require even Noah, as the Dragon King, to alleviate for a while.
Thus, piece by piece, the Dark Fruits on the Golden Tree accumulate more and more. Noah can no longer clear the tree of fruits completely before each Transformation, as he could in his youth. He can't bear such a sea of suffering.
He can only maintain the number of Dark Fruits at a relatively safe proportion, preserving the brilliance and prosperity of the Golden Tree as much as possible.
"Perhaps it's time to think of a solution!"
Letting darkness spread on the Golden Tree is not a good thing. Although Noah can confirm he won't fall because of it, the darkened Golden Tree will certainly affect him, causing some undesirable changes.
These undesirable changes may not harm Noah himself, but not necessarily his Favored, Servants, or even his Dragon Sons and Grandchildren.
"Root Rules!"
Noah slowly savors the Golden Fruit at the tree's crown, feeling the many extreme negative emotions within it, while gazing at the Golden Tree before him. He is trying to analyze the tree's structure.
Only by deconstructing the Golden Tree can he address the issue of Dark Fruits at its source, instead of enduring them passively.
Of course, there's an even worse and most likely scenario that even deconstructing the Golden Tree won't solve the problem; he can only bear the consequences. At least in adversity, he might understand a few things instead of muddling through.
Boom!
"Destiny, causality…"
When Noah attempts to analyze the Golden Tree with his Dragon King rank, the divine wood before his eyes transforms into endless, dazzling intertwined lights, each with a different hue, each strand containing supreme power.
Yet, merely gazing for a moment, Noah closes his eyes and stops peering. He touches just a part of the seemingly understood but untouched rules, as if billions of worlds are gleaming before him, resembling a starry sea pouring out. Such an impact cannot be endured even by Noah as the Dragon King.
"What are you exactly?"
When Noah stops peering into the Golden Tree, it transforms back into a radiant divine wood, dazzlingly luminous. The flowing light patterns on the tree trunk, like raging rivers, and the diverse glows from the fruits between the tree crown, akin to spinning stars, nurturing a stellar universe within.
...
"Expedition to the Abyss!"
A whisper emanates from the Steel Starship cruising through the Void, from the Nether God seated in the deepest part of the metallic fortress, slowly opening his eyes, a golden and dazzling divine glow blooming,
"Again because of the Augustus family, huh."
The Lord of Death's whisper elicited no response. This massive starship, cruising through the Void like a miniature Material Realm, has no other living beings besides this entity.
However, there's quite a number of Mechanical Undead silently active. It's these unremarked but highly intelligent special Undead maintaining the operation of this gigantic starship.
Although the starship itself has a certain self-repair ability since the starship is the Divine Country of the God of Death and Machinery, its origin wasn't built by this Death God but comes from an unexpected gain during his Void wanderings.
There's no need to mention it. As a True God walking the Void, and also the Dragon God Terramus, even confronting strong Divine Power can retreat unscathed. Plus, with his current identity and status, no strong Divine Power would deliberately inconvenience him.
Therefore, Terramus, walking the Void for years, has reaped significant rewards. Not to mention he had not just once ventured into Lower Planes, intercepting years of treasure and accumulation from those Evil Demon Lords. There are also many evil tribes in the Void, also within Terramus's purview for cleansing.
"It seems I should return once!"
Terramus is very aware. He does have some thoughts about his father's orders, but if it's due to the Augustus family, then these thoughts don't need to be expressed.
Not only Terramus, but Iliad, who has elevated his Divine Country to Heaven, and Goddess of Wealth and Ice Scadilro, who holds her Divine Country suspended above the Dragon Realm, are all prepared to join this war.
When these Holy Dragon Descendants begin preparing to attack the Abyss, the Commanders of the various Dragon-man Battle Groups follow the Holy Dragon's orders, starting to consolidate military power and gather at the Dragon Realm, with one Floating City after another migrating in the Void.
The vast majority of the Dragon-men have no objections to the orders directly issued by the Holy Dragon Emperor, because as long as there's war, it represents promotion opportunities and wealth resources. However, the land of the Abyss has little value for operation, at least in the eyes of ordinary Dragon-men.
But merely gaining merit from the war against the Abyss is enough. As for failure, no Dragon-man or Commander considers it; they don't believe that with the current military power of the Holy Dragon Empire, the war of conquering the Abyss will fail.
It's just a matter of how much price they're willing to pay. As long as they're willing, they can surely achieve the objectives set by the Holy Dragon Emperor.
When Holy Dragon Noah is gathering his Favored legions, the resurgent Hell, which suffered greatly from an incursion by two Epics, has regrouped, forming a devil army that has never appeared in this realm of Hell since its inception.
Incursion into the Abyss!
For devils, this is second only to raiding the Material World and plundering the souls of mortals, and evidently now the Titan Lord with the highest authority, recognized as the strongest Devil Lord, doesn't allow them into the Material World but leaves traps in the Abyss.
Dark red magic, burning like flames, constantly flows and drips over the Gate of Hell, constructed of bones, and as this gate, possessing the power to penetrate realms, begins to roar and tremble, the will of Hell also sends out an ear-splitting call and roar, similar to the howl of some unseen yet real giant entity, sensing it will receive an unprecedented supplement.
As this Gate of Hell interconnects with the corresponding Abyss Gate, the scenes on the other side instantly appear in the eyes of both sides, with a dark red moon hanging in the sky, carrying great foreboding, purple stars twinkling in the starry sky, full of evil intent, as if some vast, unknown terrible existence is peering in.
When chaos and disorder meet, even though essentially the same, their opposition causes the realm-crossing gate to roar. However, this rule-level confrontation quickly ends.
