Has Big Shot Fallen in Love Today?-Chapter 687: Fu Qingcen’s Tears

Chapter 687

Chapter 687: Chapter 687: Fu Qingcen’s Tears
The audition this time was a very pleasant process.
Sheng Tang recalled the ups and downs of her past life.
In the later stages, she no longer participated in auditions. The production teams would always send her the script first, and then lure her with flattering words and high pay, begging her to honor them by starring in their films.
With her participation, the movie could easily attract a lot of investment, and the most famous male lead could be invited. Even first-line and second-line stars would compete for the supporting roles, assembling a super luxurious cast within half a month.
However, she still missed the sense of accomplishment when she earned her roles bit by bit during auditions.
Today’s audition made her feel appreciated.
Zheng Weiwei didn’t make her travel all the way from S City to compete with other artists for a role. Instead, the role was internally decided for her, and she was asked to come and perform for the director and producer to show off her skills.
After the audition, Zheng Weiwei arranged a business lunch at noon, which Sheng Tang attended with her manager, Ke Fei.
The director and producer were also there.
The producer still didn’t seem very reassured about Sheng Tang, his attitude a bit odd.
After the meal, Sheng Tang and Ke Fei went to Zheng Weiwei’s company in the afternoon to sign the contract, officially securing the role of the second female lead in the film.
The movie’s title was "Who’s Afraid of the Workplace," and Sheng Tang’s role was named Zhao Beibei.
Zheng Weiwei was also very generous, offering the relatively unknown she a pay of two million.
"The crew will contact you for further arrangements," Zheng Weiwei said, "By the way, our first filming location is in S City, which is convenient for you."
Sheng Tang smiled and replied affirmatively.
She and Ke Fei returned to S City and went to the company for a brief meeting.
"...In two months, ’Who’s Afraid of the Workplace’ will start filming, which is expected to take three months. The summer slot will begin, so it’s unlikely you’ll finish early.
Once you wrap up, ’Invincible Life’ will probably be released, and you’ll need to participate in the initial promotions, although there might not be many events. If the box office does well, there will surely be interviews afterward." Ke Fei said.
In other words, Sheng Tang’s schedule was set until September.
"The schedule for the first half of the year is tight. Do you have any thoughts?" Ke Fei asked.
Sheng Tang: "I’m not famous yet, so all my plans should align with the crew’s schedule. Let’s not take on new work until after October."
Ke Fei: "That’s what I thought too."
After registering the contract with Zheng Weiwei at the company, Sheng Tang went to Gu Jiahui’s office.
It happened that Gu Jiahui was there today.
When Sheng Tang reached the eighth floor, the secretary suddenly shook her head at her, then whispered, "Miss Sheng? Would you like some coffee?"
Sheng Tang glanced at the office, "Is there a guest?"
"Yes," the secretary replied. "Please wait a moment, I’ll make you a cup of coffee."
Sheng Tang thanked her and waited in a small conference room nearby.
She waited for about thirty minutes before seeing Fu Qingcen come out of Gu Jiahui’s office, face streaked with tears and eyes clearly swollen.
Sheng Tang didn’t approach to intrude.
After Fu Qingcen left the office, she put on sunglasses and a mask before taking the elevator down.
Sheng Tang knocked on Gu Jiahui’s office door.
"What happened to her?" Sheng Tang asked.
Gu Jiahui: "Nothing much, she just had an emotional breakdown. That’s how actors are, always bound to break down sometimes. How was the audition?"
"Got the role, signed the contract," Sheng Tang replied.
Gu Jiahui didn’t seem very enthusiastic: "Well, that’s good then."
"I just came to inform you. If there’s nothing else, I’ll get going," Sheng Tang said.
Gu Jiahui nodded at her, his eyes still on the documents, without looking up at her.
