Human Genius? Sorry, I’m a Deviant-Chapter 125: Battlefield Reversal

Chapter 125

The slowing and acceleration buff from Abyssal Gaze enveloped the entire battlefield.
The battle situation instantly reversed.
Xie Xi's Destruction Scythe transformed into a dark red whirlwind under the acceleration effect.
Forcing the Obese Aberration to retreat in panic.
Its bloated body was already covered with gruesome wounds, and the splashing acid couldn't keep up with Xie Xi's speed at all.
Only managing to corrode futile pits in the walls.
"Startling Swan!"
Feng Jue's sword light connected into a silver net of light under acceleration.
The long-armed aberration retreated step by step, its bone claws blocking increasingly slower.
A sword light swept across its chest, instantly soaking the trench coat with black blood.
It immediately emitted a pained roar.
"Purple Thunder, chains!"
Liu Ziming's lightning transformed into dozens of purple chains, tightly binding the Bone Lizard Aberration.
Lightning flashed.
Bone armor shattered.
The Bone Lizard Aberration struggled frantically, but could only twist futilely in place.
Xu Hao's figure moved so fast in the acceleration field that he almost disappeared.
The surviving low-level aberrations couldn't capture his movements at all, only swinging their claws wildly while emitting consecutive screams.
Silver light flashed.
An aberration covered its bleeding throat as it staggered backward.
This repeated.
Su Zhan maintained Abyssal Gaze at full strength, cold sweat appearing on his forehead, feeling slightly dizzy.
The consumption was enormous.
"Retreat! All retreat!"
The Bone Lizard tore open its trench coat, revealing a scaly body. The three seventh-level aberrations simultaneously crashed into the wall, actually smashing a hidden passage through the concrete.
"Trying to run?"
Xie Xi's giant scythe flew out with a whoosh, pinning a low-level aberration to the wall.
But the three seventh-level and one low-level aberration had already disappeared deep into the passage.
Leaving only a venomous threat:
"We'll meet again!"
Disorderly footsteps echoed in the passage, gradually fading away.
"After them!"
Su Zhan fought through the dizziness and was the first to charge toward the passage where the aberrations had fled.
Xie Xi's giant scythe was still pinned to the wall, but with a shake of her right hand, the scythe on the wall vanished into thin air, reappearing in her hand the next second.
She stepped forward, closely following behind.
But just then.
"Beep."
A faint electronic sound came from a crack in the wall.
"Careful!!"
Feng Jue's warning had just left his mouth.
Violent explosions suddenly erupted!
The concrete at the top of the passage instantly collapsed, with steel bars and rubble pouring down.
Su Zhan's Abyssal Gaze immediately lit up, deploying a slowing field at the critical moment, buying everyone precious reaction time.
"Fall back!"
Everyone rapidly retreated but were still sent flying several meters by the shockwave.
Xie Xi adjusted her posture mid-air, stabbing her giant scythe into the ground to stabilize herself.
Feng Jue's Startling Swan Sword danced into a light screen in front of him, deflecting the flying rubble.
Liu Ziming and Xu Hao were directly slammed against the wall by the blast wave.
As the dust settled, the passage ahead was completely blocked by rubble.
"Damn it!"
Xie Xi slashed at the rubble pile with her scythe, dark red spiritual energy blasting away debris, but the blockage behind remained endless.
Liu Ziming coughed as he got up: "Those beasts... actually planted bombs..."
Feng Jue was already crouching down, lightly touching the ground with his fingers: "Can't hear footsteps anymore, they've run at least three hundred meters away."
The survivors in the iron cages rushed excitedly to the bars.
"Save us! Please!"
"Take us with you!"
"Don't leave us behind!"
Cries and shouts echoed through the enclosed underground space.
A man covered in blood even reached out, trying to grab the nearest Feng Jue.
Feng Jue slightly frowned, his Startling Swan Sword flashing with cold light.
"Clang!"
The iron cage's chains snapped in response.
But Feng Jue's sword tip immediately blocked the exit, his icy gaze instantly silencing the survivors.
"Stay here."
Su Zhan said calmly: "Outside is ten times more dangerous than here."
A young woman tried to argue: "But..."
"Think carefully."
Su Zhan's gaze swept over everyone: "What we're chasing now are three low-risk seventh-level aberrations. Bringing you along would just be asking to die faster?"
The survivors froze in place.
The outstretched hand slowly retracted.
One person suddenly knelt down, kowtowing heavily: "Sir... you must kill those beasts!"
"We will. Keep digging."
Su Zhan wiped the blood from his temple: "They won't get far with their injuries... Wait! No need to dig! Xu Hao!"
Xu Hao's Life Soul was teleportation, so why the hell were they digging!
Xu Hao immediately understood, flashing to appear beside Su Zhan: "Hold on tight!"
Su Zhan grabbed his shoulder firmly.
The next instant.
The scenery before them suddenly distorted, and they had passed through the collapsed passage, appearing in a hidden tunnel on the other side.
A damp, moldy smell assaulted them.
Panicked footsteps echoed faintly in the distance.
"Continue!" Su Zhan said urgently.
Xu Hao nodded, activating teleportation again.
Xie Xi felt a weight on her shoulder, and her vision instantly transformed.
She instinctively gripped her giant scythe, finding herself standing in a dripping secret passage.
Next was Feng Jue.
During this time, Su Zhan hadn't stopped moving, still continuously pursuing the enemy.
Those brought over by Xu Hao afterwards immediately hurried to follow Su Zhan's footsteps.
Liu Ziming was the last to be teleported over, almost losing his balance: "Holy shit! This is more thrilling than a damn roller coaster..."
Purple Thunder already danced in his palm: "Where are those bastards?"
"If we chase now, they're not far."
Su Zhan pointed deep into the tunnel while running: "The blood trails are still warm."
Xie Xi shouted: "We absolutely cannot let them escape this time."
Xu Hao took a deep breath and activated teleportation again.
Their figures disappeared from sight one after another, continuously closing in on their targets.
The deep secret passage extended forward.
Intricate branching paths appeared from time to time.
Some passages had been artificially widened, paved with rusted iron plates.
Others maintained their original cave form, requiring sideways movement to pass through narrow sections.
Footsteps suddenly scattered in the maze-like passages ahead, echoing with reverberations.
"They're deliberately creating echoes to confuse our judgment."
Xie Xi's gaze swept over the three branching paths ahead: "But actually they've split into three groups."
"Split into three groups."
Su Zhan didn't hesitate at all, quickly scanning his teammates: "Xie Xi and Xu Hao as one group, Feng Jue and Liu Ziming as one group, I'll act alone."
Xie Xi frowned, instinctively wanting to retort: "But..."
Su Zhan interrupted her: "You and Feng Jue are both close-range assault types, you must be paired separately."
Xie Xi pressed her lips into a thin line.
Ultimately didn't retort.
Arguing about combat assignments now would only waste precious time.
Xie Xi only uttered these two words before turning and running toward the right passage.
Xu Hao nodded to everyone, his figure flashing as he caught up with Xie Xi.
Feng Jue's cold gaze turned to the left passage: "Let's go."
Liu Ziming's Purple Thunder crackled in his palm: "Let them see what real thunder magic looks like."
Su Zhan watched as the two groups disappeared into the darkness.
Only then did he turn to face the passage directly ahead.
Three directions, three hunts.
