Chapter 293: Chapter 293: Wolf Assumes Tiger’s Might
"Elder Tan entrusted us to bring beastmen back, the more the better, the faster the better. But I think waiting a month shouldn’t be a problem, as long as the final result is worthy."
Sunflower glanced at the Rabbit tribe beastmen, then thought of the small beastmen detained at the temporary camp and their curses, and made up his mind to speak.
Eric was so excited that he jumped up, bouncing a few times on the spot, happily raising his hand and shouting:
"Then let’s go back to the tribe and have the cafeteria make delicious food for everyone!"
Hearing the words "delicious food," Sunflower’s face showed even more obvious joy. He still remembered the unforgettable feast from last time.
When leaving, Eric had given him steamed sponge cake, which he brought back to share with the other teammates. Although everyone regretted eating it, with so many people, one bite each and it was all gone.
Several Tiger warriors who were lucky enough to taste the steamed sponge cake last time excitedly rushed over and said:
"Is there still that white and soft food? Last time Sunflower got drunk and squashed it all!"
"And yet you ate quite a lot of it!" Sunflower laughingly scolded and kicked that guy.
The rabbits looked at each other. They were a naturally timid race; at this moment, although they couldn’t help trembling all over, just thinking about not having to be slaves for humans anymore, they gathered all their courage to stand up.
On the return journey, Eric hopped onto Max’s head to sit comfortably again. To accommodate the slower Rabbit tribe, the Snow Wolves and Tiger warriors didn’t run too fast.
Going out for a trip and adding so many members to the tribe, Eric was very happy. Although he now carried a debt, being able to save so many small beastmen made him feel it was worth it.
Sunflower sent Clitus back first to lead the other tribesmen and the captured beastmen to the Hadu tribe together. Grass also went along to guide them later.
Arthur walked beside Max, occasionally glancing at Eric sitting high on top of the large Snow Wolf’s head. The more he thought, the more aggrieved he felt, wishing he could transform into his original form immediately so that Eric could also sit comfortably on his head like that.
A group of beastmen didn’t run at full speed for the sake of the Rabbit tribe, but the speed wasn’t slow. Yet Arthur relied only on human legs to walk alongside, neither falling behind nor appearing to struggle.
The Tiger warriors couldn’t help but exchange glances, deeply feeling that this Hadu tribe was full of mysteries. Having a human in the tribe was already very strange, and this person was so capable.
Dozens of Tiger warriors, dozens of Rabbit tribe beastmen, plus the Snow Wolf warriors - so many beastmen running together caused quite a commotion.
After entering the territory of the Hadu tribe, not long after, Thomas led several Snow Wolves along with Kevin, Robin, Aiden, and several other Horned Goat people cautiously out to meet them.
Seeing this, Eric knew instantly that Thomas must have been traumatized by the Elf tribe’s raid last time; this time, hearing unusual movement, he came so quickly.
Thinking of the Elf tribe, the area they were in happened to be not far from where the Elf tribe was plowing. The eyes of the Tiger warriors and Rabbit tribe beastmen went straight and stiff.
"This is the Elf tribe, right?" Sunflower’s eyes were glued to Pepsi, who was leading the Elves, his mouth agape, asking blankly.
The Elf tribe and farming - two concepts that were originally incompatible - were now appearing right before their eyes, completely overturning everyone’s perception.
Pepsi sensed the burning gazes, turned his head, and glared fiercely at the group of beastmen.
The next second, his gaze became wary. In the past few days, he had roughly understood the strange structure of the Hadu tribe, but there were definitely no Tiger or Rabbit tribes. Moreover, everyone knew these two races had submitted to the Golden Kingdom.
The Elf tribe and the scattered beastmen were in a state of mutual wariness and dislike, but the Golden Kingdom and the Elf tribe, after a great war, were completely hostile parties.
The Elf tribe particularly hated the kingdom’s beastmen. Originally, the Illusion Dream Continent had only them as overlords; who expected a Golden Kingdom to spring up and forcibly snatch half the territory from their hands.
After recovering for a few days, although plowing every day, Pepsi’s magic power had recovered a bit, and he immediately intended to take action.
He extended his left hand; green light flashed in his palm, a bow and arrow appeared, and Pepsi immediately prepared to draw the bow to attack.
Sunflower also snapped out of his shock, immediately crouching down, assuming a combat stance.
"Stop, stop, stop! Don’t fight, this is my family’s plowed land! Pepsi, have you not plowed enough land yet? If you destroy more, the term of your punishment will have to be extended!"
Eric, relying on his high position, projected his voice far, hurriedly shouting loudly before the two sides could take action.
Pepsi’s arm drawing the bow stiffened; the bowstring in his hand made a "twang" sound and went slack.
The other Elves halted their movements with their weapons. They secretly hated in their hearts - hating both the damned kingdom beastmen and this cunning brat. They knew very well that if they really fought, that brat Eric would definitely make them continue plowing to restore the flatness of the fields.
Ahhh, it was precisely because they hadn’t had a chance to interact with the person who looked exactly like the Prince these past few days that they were being held in the palm of this kid’s hand!
Pepsi’s face turned green then red; after thinking for a while, he still lowered his hand. The Prince was the most important thing; find the Prince first, then talk.
He chanted a few sentences silently in his heart, then slowly opened his eyes and picked up the farming tool again.
Seeing this, the other Elves had to withdraw their weapons, glared fiercely at the Tiger tribe once, and then continued plowing.
The fields destroyed during the previous battle were nearly finished being plowed after a few more days; they also tried not to cause more trouble.
Sunflower retracted his claws, looking strangely at the Elves who ignored them as if nothing had happened, then followed Eric and the others toward the tribe.
"Strange, these pointy-ears used to rush to fight as soon as they saw us; today they must have taken the wrong medicine." He said as he walked.
A female Tiger warrior occasionally turned her head to look at the Elf tribe: "More than that, I’ve never seen the sight of the Elf tribe farming."
A group of tigers, a size larger than the Snow Wolves, looked with respect at the little patriarch of the Hadu tribe.
They saw a tiny Snow Wolf standing majestically on the head of a giant Snow Wolf; although looking small, he could make the Elf tribe obey orders submissively. They truly had their horizons broadened.
And this tribe was really strange; why were there even Horned Goat people?
Sunflower had previously told them there was a Snow Wolf tribe that saved Dwarves from mercenaries and lived together, which was already very special. Now seeing with their own eyes that there were also Horned Goat people here, their curiosity about the Hadu tribe increased a bit more.
Successfully borrowing the tiger’s might once again (or technically, borrowing the wolf’s might against the elves), Eric looked happily toward the tribe; finally home.
Fortunately, the tribesmen all returned safely; this was the best thing. Before leaving, he was really afraid someone would come to cause trouble again.
