Chapter 72: Forbidden Touch
Meanwhile, Zimmer knew that the boy had changed since returning from his Christmas and New Year’s vacation. Nael was more distant, and the way he approached him felt unfamiliar. Zimmer didn’t know what had happened during the vacation, except for the arrival of his twin.
Nael was very careful. He knew that his older brothers were always tracking his cell phone, so he never used it for anything suspicious. They made their appointments at the old building.
So when they weren’t at school, they never met. That should have deepened their longing for each other. Why, then, did Nael feel so distant?
Zimmer could only conclude from Nael’s story that the boy was getting more attention from Alexander. This made him uneasy. If Alexander gave Nael more attention, it was possible that Nael would distance himself completely because he would no longer need him.
Zimmer showed him some pictures on his laptop before Nael stopped him.
"I need to be careful now, Sir," Nael whispered, his eyes searching the teacher’s face. "Nathan... he knows. He knows I’m hiding something. If he finds out about us, he’ll tell Alexander. And if Alexander knows..."
"If Alexander knows, he’ll try to destroy me," Zimmer finished for him, his voice calm, almost soothing. He stepped closer, his thumb tracing Nael’s jawline. "But you won’t let that happen, will you? You know I’m the only one who truly understands you. Your brothers... they just want to own you. I want to set you free."
Nael felt the familiar pull of Zimmer’s words. He knew, deep down, that this relationship was a bomb waiting to explode. If the truth came out, Zimmer would go to jail, and Nael’s life would be over.
"I won’t let them find out," Nael promised, his voice trembling. "I’ll do whatever it takes to protect you."
Zimmer’s smile widened, but his eyes remained calm and calculating. He knew exactly how much power he held over the boy. "That’s my good boy. Now tell me... what else has your brother been saying?"
Nael began to speak, unaware that he was simply trading one cage for another.
Somehow, it had started, and now Nael was sitting on Zimmer’s lap. He felt a curiosity and excitement he had never experienced before.
Zimmer reached out, his long, slender fingers, hooking into the belt loops of Nael’s uniform trousers. He pulled gently but firmly until Nael’s thighs pressed against his own.
"It’s okay. Don’t be afraid, baby," Zimmer murmured, his voice a low vibration that seemed to settle into Nael’s bones.
"I’m not afraid," Nael lied, though his heart was hammering a frantic rhythm against his ribs.
Zimmer’s smile was thin, knowing. He leaned in, his lips grazing the shell of Nael’s ear. "Good boy. Don’t be afraid of me. I would trade myself for your happiness, just trust me..."
Zimmer’s hands moved from Nael’s belt to his waist, sliding beneath his blazer. The heat of Zimmer’s palms through the thin fabric of Nael’s shirt sent an electric shock through him. Slowly, Zimmer lifted Nael, guiding him to sit on the edge of the table. Nael’s legs fell open naturally, a movement of instinctive surrender that made his face flush a deep crimson.
Zimmer stepped into the space between Nael’s knees. He leaned forward, his mouth finding the sensitive junction where Nael’s neck met his shoulder. He didn’t kiss him at first, he only breathed against his skin, the warmth making Nael’s head fall back.
"Sir..." Nael gasped, his hands reaching out to grip the man’s shoulders. The fabric of Zimmer’s sweater was soft and expensive, a sharp contrast to the rough, splintering wood beneath Nael’s palms.
"Hush. It’s okay," Zimmer whispered against his skin.
Then his mouth was on him. It started with the usual kisses, soft, reverent, the kind that made Nael feel like a precious artifact. But today, Zimmer was hungrier. The kisses grew deeper, more demanding. One of Zimmer’s hands moved up to cup Nael’s jaw, forcing him to look up, while the other slid lower, his palm pressing firmly against the heat building in Nael’s lap.
Nael’s breath hitched. A wave of raw curiosity swept through him, fighting against the shrill alarm ringing in the back of his mind. He had never gone this far. Zimmer had always been the one to respect his boundaries, to keep them within the "safety" of innocence.
Zimmer’s hand shifted, his fingers fumbling with the button of Nael’s trousers.
"I want to see you, Nael," Zimmer breathed, his eyes dark and focused, devoid of the usual teacher-like patience. "I want to see all of you. No more hiding. Let me take off your clothes."
Nael felt the cool air hit his skin as the button came undone. He felt Zimmer’s fingers slip inside the waistband, the touch searingly hot. For a moment, Nael wanted it, wanted to drown in it, to let Zimmer take away every burden of being a Salazar.
But then his siblings’ warnings echoed in his mind.
Nael gasped, his hands pushing suddenly against Zimmer’s chest.
"I... I can’t," Nael panted, his voice thin and high. "Sir, stop. Louis is waiting. Nathan... he’s already suspicious. He’ll come looking."
Zimmer froze. For a brief second, a flash of irritation, cold and ugly, crossed his handsome face. But it vanished just as quickly, replaced by his usual calm mask.
He didn’t pull away immediately. Instead, he leaned in and pressed a firm, lingering kiss to Nael’s forehead.
"Always the shadow of your family, isn’t it?" Zimmer sighed, his voice tinged with theatrical disappointment that stabbed guilt into Nael’s chest. He stepped back, his hands retreating, leaving Nael suddenly and violently cold. "Go on, then. Go back to your cage."
Nael scrambled off the table, fumbling to fix his clothes. His heart was still racing, adrenaline mixing with the terror of being discovered. He glanced at Zimmer, who was already seated at the table again, opening his laptop as if nothing had happened.
"I’m sorry," Nael whispered, his hand on the door handle. "I’ll... I’ll come back tomorrow. I promise."
"We’ll see, Nael," Zimmer said without looking up, his voice cool and distant. "Don’t keep the great Alexander Salazar waiting."
Nael slipped back into the snow, the freezing wind striking his overheated face like a slap. He ran toward the main building, his mind in chaos, Zimmer’s touch still burning on his skin.
