"Don't be afraid, I'm not here to kill you; I'm here as a guest of your Baihua Pavilion."
Qin Yi explained gloomily, seemingly not very welcomed.
"Hua Rui, go tell your Pavilion Master that we are visiting specifically."
"Brother Qin, you..."
Qin Yi laughed, "It's fine, the ones who should be dead are dead, it doesn't matter if people find out. I'm with Old Mo, there's no way to hide it."
Hua Rui thought so too, Qin Yi and Mo Wuji were walking openly together, anyone could see their close friendship. Besides, with the Lei Family, Nan Family, and Fang Family all gone, there's nothing to hide anymore.
"Don't be afraid, Brother Qin is a friend of our Baihua Pavilion, he won't harm us." Hua Rui comforted her fellow junior sisters who were scared out of their wits.
The female disciples, still in shock, sneaked peeks at Qin Yi.
But Sister Hua Rui wouldn't lie to them, which reassured them a lot, though they still dared not approach Qin Yi.
"Brother Qin, Young Master Mo, esteemed elder, please wait here for a moment, I'll go to the Pavilion Master."
Qin Yi smiled, "No need, your Pavilion Master is here."
Hua Rui looked back in confusion, seeing Nie Zhujun and Bai Jingqing darting over quickly, arriving in front of everyone in no time.
Nie Zhujun bowed towards Mo Hutu, "Nie Zhujun greets the esteemed elder."
Mo Hutu waved his hand, "No need for formalities."
Nie Zhujun glared at Qin Yi, then turned and made a gesture of invitation, "Please come inside, the three of you."
Qin Yi was bewildered by the glare, when did he offend this woman?
Mo Wuji noticed Qin Yi's awkwardness, whispered, "Showing up so openly at Baihua Pavilion, Pavilion Master Nie is probably worried about Baihua Pavilion's reputation."
"What do you mean?" Qin Yi suddenly became unhappy, glaring, "You mean I have a bad reputation that would drag Baihua Pavilion down?"
Mo Wuji scratched his nose, "Calm down, Brother Qin, it's just that the outside world misunderstands you, inevitably spreading some bad rumors about you."
Qin Yi was aware of this, he indeed didn't have a good reputation. Would an ordinary person be called Blood Shura?
"Hmph, people are envious of talent." Qin Yi snorted twice and walked inside with his hands behind his back.
Mo Wuji gave a helpless smile, instinctively glancing at Bai Jingqing, who was smiling with her mouth pursed, leaving Mo Wuji momentarily entranced.
"Come on, have some decency, don't act like a fool, or Pavilion Master Nie will beat you out with a stick." Qin Yi came back, dragging Mo Wuji away, annoyed by his silent flirting.
The deeper they went inside, the more beautiful the scenery became.
Qin Yi had traveled many places, but none could compare to the beauty of Baihua Pavilion.
"A place like flowers, inhabited by people like flowers, I'd love to live here and never leave." Qin Yi said instinctively.
Nie Zhujun and the others warily watched Qin Yi.
"Brother Qin, mind your image." Mo Wuji chuckled bitterly, even if that's what you think, you shouldn't say it out loud. And if you must say it, don't say it so loudly.
Qin Yi's words were too easy to misinterpret, as if he was treating Baihua Pavilion as his harem.
Qin Yi coughed awkwardly, then changed his tone, sighing deeply, "Though this place is like a fairyland, there's no place like home; I still think Tiger Roar Mountain is better."
Mo Wuji rolled his eyes, thinking it would have been better if he hadn't explained at all.
Nie Zhujun led Qin Yi and the others into the main hall of Baihua Pavilion.
"Serve tea," Nie Zhujun said.
Several beautiful female disciples brought the tea while kneeling, and Qin Yi stared unblinkingly.
Nie Zhujun frowned silently.
Mo Wuji gave a helpless smile, quietly reminding, "Brother Qin, mind your image."
Qin Yi snapped back to reality, looked at Nie Zhujun, and asked, "Pavilion Master Nie, may I ask something?"
"Please do."
"Are your female disciples all married?"
Nie Zhujun went speechless.
Everyone looked at Qin Yi with strange expressions, wondering why he would ask such a question out of the blue.
"No, they're not," Nie Zhujun replied.
Qin Yi suddenly smiled broadly, "Not married is good. Pavilion Master Nie, I have a proposal."
"Although our Baihua Pavilion doesn't restrict disciples from marrying, we certainly won't let them demean themselves as mistresses. If I remember correctly, you're not only married but also have two children," Nie Zhujun frowned.
Qin Yi paused in confusion, "What does that have to do with my marital status?"
Nie Zhujun said, "Our Baihua Pavilion's disciples will never become someone's mistress."
Qin Yi was slightly taken aback, then realized what Nie Zhujun meant, rolling his eyes, "Pavilion Master Nie misunderstood; I am completely devoted to Xia Yanbing and would not betray her. My inquiry about whether these beauties are married is because many of my comrades in the Peace Army are still single.
All my comrades in the Peace Army are exceptionally talented, outstanding individuals, and if possible, we could arrange for them to meet and get to know each other."
Bai Jingqing said displeased, "Our Baihua Pavilion's disciples don't have trouble finding husbands; they don't need any matchmaking."
"I never said they had trouble finding husbands; every disciple in the Baihua Pavilion looks like a fairy. My brothers in the Peace Army are handsome and gifted; joining as partners would be a wonderful thing."
"You're the one fantasizing," Bai Jingqing rolled her eyes.
Qin Yi raised an eyebrow, "Little White Fairy, do you think my brothers in the Peace Army are not worthy of your Pavilion's fairies? You shouldn't underestimate those in need just because you're not in want. Do you think everyone has suitors like you?
Setting up such an event offers opportunities for both your Pavilion's disciples and my brothers in the Peace Army. Who knows, it might foster some beautiful relationships, a truly kind and virtuous deed."
Bai Jingqing was about to speak when Nie Zhujun glanced at Qin Yi and asked, "What did you say about Jingqing being pursued?"
"Uh..." Qin Yi was taken aback, instinctively asking, "You don't know yet?"
"Know what?"
Bai Jingqing subtly shook her head at Qin Yi.
Qin Yi immediately realized that Bai Jingqing hadn't told Nie Zhujun about her affair with Mo Wuji.
He glanced at Mo Wuji, realizing their marriage proposal might be a bit hasty and not very smooth.
Mo Hutu suddenly spoke up, smiling, "Pavilion Master Nie, how are the elders doing?"
Mo Hutu referred to the ancestors of Baihua Pavilion.
Nie Zhujun quickly bowed, "Thank you, elder, for your concern. The ancestors are well."
"Then why hasn't anyone come out to see this old friend?"
"Please forgive us, elder. I have already sent someone to invite the ancestors."
Mo Hutu nodded slightly.
Nie Zhujun curiously asked, "Elder, is there something you came for this time? Perhaps I can assist."
"You... can, indeed," Mo Hutu hesitated slightly, "I came this time to propose."
"Ah?" Nie Zhujun was completely stunned, instinctively exclaiming, "Elder, are you proposing to marry one of our Pavilion's ancestors?"
