Live-in Son-in-law-Chapter 1030 1030: Entering the Primordial

Chapter 1030

Qin Yi steadied his mind and said indifferently, "Let's go. Rest assured, if there's danger, I'll definitely stand in front of you."
After all, this step must be taken.
Yun Mengyao once saved Xiaobing and Wan'er multiple times, and even saved his child. He would not watch Yun Mengyao get into trouble.
"Are you ready?"
Yun Mengyao nodded slightly.
Qin Yi took her hand, and the two stepped directly into that terrifying black hole.
Qin Yi only felt a pitch-black in front of him, with a terrifying pressure seeming like it would crush his body, and a horrifying airflow causing instant ringing in his ears, his mind buzzing.
Even he found it hard to endure, let alone Yun Mengyao. With instinct, Qin Yi circulated energy to protect Yun Mengyao.
They seemed to be in a narrow passageway, advancing at a terrifying speed. Yet, they also seemed to be floating in the air, not moving at all.
Qin Yi tried to activate his divine thought to explore what kind of place this was. His divine thought could now envelop two to three hundred meters around him.
Unfortunately, the surroundings were empty, as if they were in a boundless space with no point of reference. Qin Yi could not determine if they were moving forward or staying still.
Here, time felt nonexistent.
Qin Yi felt he had been here for a long time, yet it also seemed he had just entered; his mind was somewhat bewildered.
"Can you feel if we are moving?" Qin Yi asked.
However, he waited and waited, receiving no response.
Qin Yi suddenly froze, because although he clearly spoke, he heard no sound.
"Hey, hey..."
Qin Yi called out several times, but it seemed that the voice could not be spread in this place.
He could clearly feel Yun Mengyao's hand trembling, gripping his arm tightly.
Qin Yi was also uneasy, but still patted Yun Mengyao's hand to comfort her.
How much time passed was unknown?
Qin Yi began to panic, afraid that he and Yun Mengyao might be trapped here.
This place was completely like a vast, independent space, with only the two of them. Lonely, fearful, various negative emotions constantly surfaced.
Qin Yi felt completely like a deaf and mute person now, unable to speak, hear sounds, or know where he was.
Even though Qin Yi had a firm mind, at this moment, he felt pushed to the edge of collapse.
How much time passed was unknown?
Qin Yi felt as if a year had passed, or perhaps just an hour.
"Damn it, what kind of crappy place is this?" Unable to hold back, Qin Yi cursed.
However, once he cursed, suddenly everything blurred, and a blazing light momentarily blinded him.
When he was able to see clearly, he looked blankly at the surroundings.
Towering mountains, ancient, towering trees with lush foliage that shaded the sky, while wild grass and flowers swayed gently in the wind.
Qin Yi was somewhat confused. Was he in the Primordial? Or on Earth, because this seemed somewhat similar to Earth.
"Qin Yi, we, we are in the Primordial," Yun Mengyao exclaimed with surprise.
Qin Yi was slightly stunned, "How do you know this is the Primordial and not some deep forest on Earth?"
Yun Mengyao said nothing, pointing behind Qin Yi.
Qin Yi turned his head to look, his eyes slightly squinting, seeing several animals entirely red, with enormous size, shaped like horses, drinking by a stream in the distance.
"Chasing Wind Horses?" Qin Yi exclaimed.
With the knowledge the Eye of Righteous and Evil provided him, he instantly recognized this creature.
Yun Mengyao was surprised, "You actually know Chasing Wind Horses?"
Chasing Wind Horses weren't fierce beasts; they were two to three times larger than horses Qin Yi had seen on Earth. They could effortlessly move with the wind at astonishing speeds, and had gentle temperaments. Qi Refiners below the Nascent Soul Realm loved using them as mounts.
Qin Yi kicked up a stone, hurling it toward the stream, causing water to splash everywhere.
The Chasing Wind Horses were startled, turning to run away like gusts of wind at incredible speed.
Qin Yi's silhouette flickered like a stream of light chasing after them, releasing a terrifying pressure with a raised hand, directly suppressing two Chasing Wind Horses.
The two Chasing Wind Horses neighed, their strong front legs kneeling.
Chasing Wind Horses were gentle-natured and timid. When confronted by beings or beasts stronger than them, if unable to escape, they would proactively kneel to plead for survival.
On Earth, Qin Yi rarely had the chance to ride; the key issue was that horses weren't allowed into the city at all. He could never understand, why call it a road if horses weren't permitted, why not rename it to car road?
His last horseback riding experience was when he rescued Lan Jiaojiao, the one time he rode for the longest.
Thinking of Lan Jiaojiao, not knowing where that woman was now; he couldn't even find her for a goodbye before he left.
Qin Yi approached, patting the big head of the Chasing Wind Horse, "You'll be my mount for now; I won't kill you. When the time comes, I'll release you."
Yun Mengyao came over, "You're going to ride it?"
Qin Yi nodded.
"What's wrong? Is your cultivation soaring, unable to fly?"
Qin Yi: "..."
"This is called keeping a low profile, understand?"
"Then you can slowly stay low; me, a dignified Saintess of the Feather Clan, you expect me to ride a horse?"
Qin Yi didn't mind, "Up to you; having a horse but choosing to exert yourself flying, fool."
"You're the fool," Yun Mengyao said, yet still jumped onto the back of one Chasing Wind Horse.
Qin Yi gave her a scornful glance, jumping onto the back of another Chasing Wind Horse.
"Miss Yun, where is this?"
"How would I know?"
Qin Yi: "..."
"Are you even a person of the Primordial?"
Yun Mengyao disdainfully said, "The Primordial is vast and boundless, countless times larger than Earth. I'm not a map; I can't know every place. Earth is so small, can you guarantee knowing every location?"
"Uh... what you say makes sense. Then where are we headed now?"
"I'm going home."
"Oh, then goodbye!" Qin Yi said.
Yun Mengyao glared at him resentfully.
"What is it?" Qin Yi asked, confused.
"You have to take me home."
"Why? Don't you know the way home?"
"I'm afraid I'll die halfway home before I even get there."
Qin Yi was surprised, "Is there really someone who dares to harm you, the Saintess of the Feather Clan?"
Yun Mengyao said, "Do you know Lin Zixuan?"
Qin Yi, bewildered, shook his head, "Never heard of her; in the Primordial, you're the only one I know."
"I'm talking about someone from Earth."
"I don't know her either."
"Lin Zixuan is a somewhat famous wealthy family's daughter, the young miss of the Lin Family in Changfeng City."
Qin Yi: "..."
"Never heard of her; why are you mentioning her?"
Yun Mengyao said, "I just want to tell you that I, as a young miss of the Feather Clan, am like the Lin Family's young miss I mentioned, barely known by anyone. The Feather Clan is comparable to those top families on Earth, abundant in such powers, hardly anyone knows about my Feather Clan."
Qin Yi: "..."
"After all that talk, you mean your Feather Clan only rules over its tiny territory, just a small power."
Yun Mengyao sneered, "In regard to the Primordial, the Feather Clan's power is indeed small. But on Earth, it would be equivalent to three combined Hidden Families."
Qin Yi squinted his eyes slightly; Yun Mengyao had mentioned this situation before. It seemed that the Primordial was indeed perilous; he'd have to be extra cautious in the future.
