Magical Girl with Demonic Time Magic-Chapter 59: Routine

Chapter 59

Chapter 59: Routine
I went to school and attended the class normally. Afterward, Ayane and I had our usual conversations, but strangely, Ayane seemed a bit embarrassed and would sometimes glance at my lip and stutter.
In addition to blushing and avoiding eye contact, when I asked if something was wrong, she said it was nothing, just a weird dream that wasn’t a big deal.
But other than that, everything was normal. However, today is the day I need to go see the psychologist for a routine check-up.
So after classes, I said goodbye to Ayane and slowly made my way to the psychologist’s office. As soon as I entered the room, I noticed that her clothes were disheveled, the room had a strange smell, and she seemed "off."
Of course, I could also hear a faint breathing sound that wasn’t hers, and she seemed a bit out of breath. I knew exactly what was going on.
’Perverted nymphomaniac.’ It was obvious she had someone in there with her, and that person was still hiding to avoid being caught. She knew she had to see me, and yet she couldn’t control herself at all.
"Setsuna, how are you feeling? Could you have a seat here so we can start?" She asks, pretending to maintain some level of professionalism, but stumbling over her words. Her clothes are revealing too much of her cleavage, and she’s a bit sweaty.
"Nothing different..." I tell her as I sit down in the chair. My feelings remain the same as always, low most of the time, except when I’m with Ayane or when I’m feeling something bad, since Hexael amplifies negative tendencies.
"I see, but what about physical contact? I heard you have a closer friend now, how do you feel about touch?" She questions, jotting down some notes on her clipboard.
"...It’s gotten worse..." Now even minor touches seem even more disgusting. I don’t know why, but after Ayane was in danger and I saved her, we’ve managed to build a stronger friendship. However, in compensation, touches from others seem even more repulsive.
"...As I’ve recommended, wouldn’t you like to use gloves?" She brings up that option again. Normally, I would refuse instantly, but the disgust is increasing, and if it keeps going at this rate, I won’t be able to touch others even for basic interactions.
"I...still don’t plan to use that," I say. If it gets worse, I’ll be forced to use gloves, but for now, it’s still bearable.
"Okay, it’s your choice, but if your touch issue worsens, you’ll have to start using gloves as a medical recommendation," she says matter-of-factly, which is like telling me that if the problem gets worse, I’ll be forced to use gloves even if I don’t want to.
"Haaa..." I just sigh, remembering that Hexael mentioned my outfit has gloves in addition to the mask, and the gloves also need to be worn because I want to. I wonder if he knew I would have this problem.
"How far can they touch you now?" She asks to update my condition in the system.
"Simple contacts, handshakes, but anything beyond that is disgusting," I say. Before, general contact wasn’t so bad, they could even touch my body a bit, but now if someone accidentally touches me too much, the disgust is too great to ignore.
"From what I have here, you don’t avoid contact with the student Ayane. Could you tell me the reason?" She questions, and I wonder if I should be "honest" or just lie.
"I’m not sure, it’s not disgusting when she touches me, but it’s revolting with others," I say, immediately catching Mizuki’s attention.
"I see...interesting. Then I deduce that she is the person you were looking for when you entered that room," she murmurs, jotting down some notes.
’Tsk...’
"And your other friend? The one you made peace with. I’ve heard you’ve talked a little, but in general, you don’t have much contact. Does she also cause you disgust?"
"Yes."
"...Unfortunately, there’s not much I can do about that. I note that your responses in activities and academic progress remain perfect, so this doesn’t seem to be impacting your grades."
"As long as it continues that way, there won’t be any problems. If you need anything special, you can make a formal request to the school administration or the principal."
’The principal...’ This is quite unexpected. In my past life, I never saw the principal, or rather, almost no one saw the principal of this school. He is a complete mystery.
And only extremely talented students or those in a position of great prestige, like the president’s son, can see the principal. The fact that this is being offered to me is a huge "honor."
"I appreciate the offer, but I’m fine with how things are," I say, not needing to be in contact with others.
"Do you have any work in mind for your future?" She asks, but nothing more will be relevant to me.
"Yes, I have plans for the future, but I don’t want to discuss them. Now that you’ve updated me on my medical issues, I believe I can leave, right?" I say, wanting to get out of here.
And I bet the hidden person can’t wait for me to leave this room either. This room is cold, and from where I’m sitting, I can see some clothes poorly hidden and a liquid on the floor.
’It must be a girl by the uniform...’ I don’t want to stay here anymore. It’s unpleasant, and I hate this strange situation I have to witness. I think I’m a bit sensitive to excessive lust because it reminds me of the monsters and the problems Ayane faced in the past.
"Yes, you’re right. You can leave. I’ll review some of your files and make some changes regarding your issue. I hope you improve with Ayane’s support."
"As you said, that student isn’t unpleasant, so if your problem worsens, we could offer that student a special caregiver position in exchange for academic bonuses, and she could be assigned to spend more time with you," Mizuki says, which is actually not a bad idea.
’Hmmm, that wouldn’t be so bad...’ Students who have issues and end up finding someone to help a bit with their problems have the chance to get direct help from that student, and the student in question will earn bonus points, which benefits both.
I would love to have Ayane spending more time with me, and Ayane would love it too, as besides us two spending more time together, she would also earn academic bonuses, and she really cares about her grades.
Although I’ve noticed that because she’s a magical girl, some strange effect happens that kind of balances her presence, so even if she’s absent, no one really notices much difference or it seems like she was there.
Since from the diary, it seemed like she was absent a lot, but I never noticed these absences or anything similar. So there must be something happening, the most likely being a magical girl at the magical girl base making people not notice this "flaw."
Magic is really very convenient. It’s like no one even questions how I broke my arm or why it healed so fast. It’s as if it’s irrelevant. I had even thought of excuses to give, but no one asked anything or questioned it, and even if I brought it up, the responses and actions didn’t match reality.
Of course, this can also be influenced by what gives us power, in this case, the Septarion and Hexael, influencing human perception to provide casual support.
It’s convenient, and since it’s not negative and it’s working well, I prefer not to question too much why people don’t notice this inconsistency, as I’m sure absences from class will become more frequent as the number of monsters increases.
Also, in the diary, more monsters appeared as time passed, and it reached the point where they were making brazen attacks on society that were completely hidden.
I really don’t understand how those attacks on large locations or groups of people are not noticed, mentioned, or ed. It’s simply absurd how no one notices.
Even this school is attacked and has monsters hidden inside. They’re very good at hiding.
"Since we’re done, I’m going. Thanks for the offers." I say, getting up to leave without wanting to think about this anymore. At least it was quick, and since someone was already here, Mizuki didn’t try to blatantly touch my body.
Also, because she was nervous and occasionally glancing in the direction of the hidden person, she didn’t pay enough attention to me. I’m satisfied it was quick.
As soon as I leave and close the door, I hear a calm sigh while hearing sounds of the person coming out of their hiding spot, but I ignore it. It has nothing to do with me.
I’m just going to the magical girl base to continue training with Ayane. We’re both improving a lot, and now that my arm is healed, I’ll be able to do much better things.
I also learned some good things about how to use my powers and fire more precise, faster, and more powerful shots. And maybe someone will show up to help us with that.
On the first day of training, a magical girl came, cursed us out, then told us what we had to do, and with a big smile when we did it right, she praised us and left. And although she was quite rude, she genuinely helped.
That’s why it’s obvious that their experience would help both me and Ayane, and since we’re focused on getting stronger, any help is welcome.
