"What are you researching?" Alex asked.
"Transformation," Cyrith replied.
"I want to change my body to be more carbon-based, while still keeping the benefits of a silicon-based organism."
"So you want a biological body?"
Alex chuckled inside his mind.
'Is this a sci-fi version of Pinocchio?'
"Yes," Cyrith said.
"A silicon-based body has potential, but it is far more limited compared to carbon-based life."
Cyrith explained the difference in their power systems.
Silicon-based beings were born with stronger bodies and much longer natural lifespans.
But in exchange, their growth ceiling was lower.
For example a mother can lift a car during an adrenaline surge.
A silicon-based creature will never able to reach state like that.
That reminded Alex of the word 'chudo.'
An energy born from will and soul.
When the will was strong enough, the soul reacted and created an energy that broke common sense.
'So is that energy exclusive to carbon-based species?'
Curious, Alex asked about the silicon-based path.
"How does your power system work?"
"There are many branches," Cyrith said. "But the core is split into two paths."
"The first is external enhancement.
Weapons, armor, and engineered tools that amplify our base frame.
The second is riskier.
We graft stronger materials into our body.
Unfortunately, as Mechalyte, the second path is expensive, as
We are a crystal-based species.
We must find stronger crystals that match our structure to evolve further."
"No wonder you want an organic body," Alex said.
Carbon-based species could absorb energy directly from the environment.
Then they could form organs or cores to regulate and refine it.
'When I think about it, our goals are similar,' Alex thought.
'We just win because organic bodies has ability to adapt.'
So far, he had learned qi cultivation, the mana circle system, and the lifeforce path from the vampire race.
The steps differed, but the core idea was the same.
Adapt to energy…
Control it.
Take it in.
Then reach the stage of producing it.
Vampires stood near the top because lifeforce was a higher-tier energy than qi.
Mana was gentler.
It was easier to shape but less destructive in pure combat.
The system was not weak by itself.
The issue was the energy source.
A mild river could not match a raging sea in a direct clash.
'This also explains Alucard's obsession with chudo,' Alex thought.
He even went as far as denying his own resurrection.
A new energy he believed could surpass lifeforce.
Without a breakthrough like that, the path upward would be impossible.
No matter how many techniques were created, they would only raise efficiency.
They would not change the ceiling of the energy itself.
"I agree with your deal," Alex said.
"Now give me the information I want.
Let's start with a map of the universe."
Cyrith paused for a moment.
Then it nodded.
"There is a Grade E map stored in the battleship archive," it said.
"It contains a lot of data even I don't remember in full detail.
Grade E means It focuses on major resources, key routes, and confirmed territories.
It shows roughly ten percent of the known universe."
Alex's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Show me what you remember."
A stream of data unfolded in the digital space.
A layered star chart formed in the air.
Cyrith pointed to several glowing clusters.
"These are system hub stations.
Many species gather there.
They sell resources, artifacts, slaves, and technology under the galaxy council oversight."
The map zoomed inward.
A thin corridor of stars lit up like a route marker.
"This is our current region," Cyrith said.
"The Ainode planet is located within the Ravelin System.
The Ravelin System has nine major planets and dozens of minor bodies.
Ainode is the third planet, a continental world with high population capacity.
Alex studied the overlay.
The system sat on the edge of a spiral arm.
"This region belongs to the outer ring of the Arclight Galaxy," Cyrith continued.
"It is classified as frontier space.
Close to the Mechalyte border.
Also close to the human teritory."
The map shifted again.
Two broad zones appeared in hard geometric lines.
"The Mechalyte control two galaxies," Cyrith said.
A vast shadow washed across the chart like a stormfront.
It dwarfed everything near the Arclight frontier.
"This is the dragon race," Cyrith said.
"They control more than ten thousand galaxies.
Their territory is not a single block.
It is scattered all across the universe."
Alex frown reading the information.
The dragon race control ten of thousand galaxy, and it's just one of his opponent.
Compared to him right now, their strength was on a completely different level.
Right now, he only had Edonia under his control.
The next territories closest to becoming his would be the Blue Jewel Planet, Mingyue's hometown, and the Ainode Planet, his own birthplace.
'One step at a time, Alex.'
He calmed himself down, then refocused on the task.
'My goal right now should be taking over the battleship, then start developing the Raveling System.'
"Who owns the Archlight Galaxy?"
"This galaxy doesn't belong to one faction. The majority is controlled by humans, while the rest is controlled by many minor factions like us Mechalyte."
"So it seems there are two types of galaxies. One fully owned by a faction, and the other with mixed ownership?"
"Yes. For a minor faction, owning a single galaxy is already an achievement.
To raise our civilization, we would need more than a dozen galaxies.
But unfortunately, this is too hard because of our strength limitations."
Alex tapped his finger on his chin.
He remembered the past, trying to speculate the location of Alice's home planet and the Blue Jewel Plane.
'If they're located in different galaxies, things will be hard.
Unless Vesa can even teleport the battleship.
But even then, it won't be efficient.'
Maintaining territory across multiple galaxies while depending on Vesa was an option, but it would be full of problems.
After all, even if Vesa could split her thoughts, she still could not exist in different locations at the same time.
So she could only move things one at a time.
This was also dangerous if his enemies found out about Vesa.
"Tell me more about your battleship.
I need as much information as possible."
