Chapter 209

Chapter 209: Chapter 208: Mr. Grant Eager to Try On Clothes
As they were getting settled, about to angrily yell at the driver about how they were driving, there was another "clank" sound, and the front glass suddenly got smashed. Then, everything around them went quiet.
This quiet was only temporary because someone outside was fiercely smashing the front and back of the car.
The whole car was shaking violently, scaring Zoe Quinn and Ruth Hale inside to cling to each other. What’s going on? Who dares to smash their car!
Shopping really is healing. Even though most of what she bought wasn’t for herself, Serena Sullivan was in a much better mood.
She returned to Willow Yarrow’s place, and as soon as she opened the door, she saw Ethan Grant sitting on the sofa, slowly smoking a cigarette. When he saw her come in, he extinguished the cigarette that he had half-smoked.
"Why are you back?"
Seeing him, Serena’s good mood soured.
She looked at Ethan, who smiled as he walked towards her, and pushed her wheelchair back slightly.
"You reek of smoke, don’t come near me."
She didn’t like smoking; if she’d known Ethan was such a heavy smoker back then, no matter what, she would’ve never accepted his pursuit.
And it’s not just about smoking; if time could roll back, she’d never love him again.
"Oh."
Ethan responded with a single word, then turned and headed towards the bedroom.
Serena looked strangely at his back. What was he doing? Wasn’t he waiting for her?
"Madam, I’ll open the window, the smoke smell will disappear quickly."
Aunty Ann said with a smile, seeing Serena’s gaze directed down the hallway. She added, "Sir has significantly reduced his smoking addiction recently."
"Hmm?"
"Previously, every night the ashtray in his room was piled high, but these days there are only a dozen cigarette butts."
"Smoking over a dozen in one night, and you call that significantly reduced?" Serena retorted, "A heavy smoker is still a heavy smoker. Smoking like this; isn’t he afraid of shortening his life?"
"Madam, if the sir hears how concerned you are for him, he would be very happy," Aunty Ann continued.
Serena was speechless; she was clearly disgusted with Ethan, how could there be any concern!
Aunty Ann said no more and smilingly went to the kitchen to slice some fruit.
Serena picked up the remote control and just turned on the TV when Ethan, having changed his clothes in the bedroom, came out.
She heard his footsteps but didn’t turn her head.
When he walked over, the smell of perfume made Serena frown. She turned her head slightly to see that he had changed his clothes completely, from the inside to the outside.
"No more smoke smell, right?"
Ethan asked, seeing Serena’s indifferent expression.
Serena couldn’t be bothered to reply; there was indeed no smoke smell, but he’d sprayed an overwhelming amount of perfume, which was so pungent and completely overturned her impressions of him.
Using perfume like this, wasn’t Ethan the one with the toughest masculinity hate it the most!
"I’m going back to my room to rest."
She didn’t want to watch TV anymore, put down the remote control, and turned around heading to her room.
Watching the back of her wheelchair-bound figure, the smile on Ethan’s face slowly faded away, eventually turning into sadness.
"Sir!"
Aunty Ann, having finished cutting the fruit, saw Ethan standing alone in the living room, lost and disoriented, and called out.
"Oh."
Ethan responded, intending to take out a cigarette to smoke but thought of Serena, then gave up.
"Sir, Madam bought a lot of clothes; there should be something for you."
When they were at the mall, Aunty Ann saw Serena picking out several suits in the men’s clothing store.
They were obviously for young men to wear, although the colors were bright and not particularly suitable for the cold and indifferent-style sir.
But possibly Madam wanted to help sir change his dressing style.
