Chapter 211: Chapter 210: I Don’t Acknowledge Her
The clothes were too small, the color was too flashy; obviously, the clothes were bought for a man smaller than Ethan Grant and who looks good in bright colors.
And Serena Sullivan really had such a man around her, not Ethan Grant.
Ethan Grant was furious: "Julian Ford, spit out the red envelope."
Having received the red envelope, Julian Ford, that cunning merchant, would never return it.
"Has Finn Chandler returned?"
While waiting for Julian Ford to change his tone and praise him, Ethan Grant saw this message.
"Don’t know."
After Ethan Grant replied with three words, he tossed his phone onto the bed. Looking at himself in the mirror, all he saw was handsomeness!
Julian Ford had no discernment, after all, anyone with discernment wouldn’t ask him about the whereabouts of a man like Finn Chandler.
Finn Chandler, where does he compare in looks?
The Brilliance Competition registration time was moved up, so Serena Sullivan had returned to The Sullivan Residence to prepare. The maid who came out to greet her told her that Claire Sullivan was not there.
Serena knew that in the afternoon, Claire Sullivan would go out to get beauty treatments or attend yoga classes.
She was living the pampered life of an affluent lady.
"Miss Sullivan has been at the hospital these days."
As they entered, the maid talked about Claire Sullivan.
Indeed, Joel Quinn’s hand was so severely injured, Claire Sullivan, who loved him dearly, couldn’t be at peace.
But Joel Quinn came to work today.
"Miss Quinn was also admitted to the hospital two days ago," added the maid, "and so was Designer Hale."
"Hmm?"
Serena turned her head in confusion towards the maid, "What, their hands were smashed too!"
"Their hands are fine, but the car they returned in was wrecked."
"The two of them were scared out of their wits. It’s said that when Miss Sullivan came to pick people up, they wet their pants."
Serena knew that "wet their pants" was an exaggeration, but they must have been terrified, otherwise, they wouldn’t have been admitted to the hospital.
"I don’t know who they might have offended; each of them has been hospitalized one after another."
"Indeed."
Serena’s smile faded slightly as she lightly responded.
Who else could they have offended? Obviously, it was her.
Claire Sullivan not being around was fortunate; otherwise, she’d strip her skin off over the matter of Joel Quinn and Zoe Quinn.
Serena’s guess was right.
Claire Sullivan was not there, so Serena sat directly in the living room waiting for the old man to come out.
While waiting, Claire Sullivan came back to fetch clothes for Zoe Quinn; upon seeing her, her anger instantly surged.
Just like when she first reunited with Serena, only this time, she was even more furious.
"Maid, get her out of The Sullivan Family for me."
Standing at the door, with a cold expression, Claire Sullivan ordered harshly.
"Miss Sullivan, what are you doing!"
The maid hurriedly spoke up, worried. Miss Sullivan was good to others’ children, but why did she hate her own so much!
"She’s not my daughter; she has no right to enter The Sullivan Family’s door."
Claire Sullivan said coldly.
She realized that forgiving Serena time and again was a colossal mistake.
"Claire Sullivan, the one who doesn’t have the right to enter The Sullivan Family is you, not me."
Looking at Claire Sullivan’s cold face, Serena knew that the matter of Zoe Quinn and Ruth Hale’s car being wrecked had been pinned on her again, and undoubtedly those two women had spoken of her in the worst terms to Claire.
Sadly, Claire Sullivan believed them completely.
"Serena!"
Hearing Serena speak with such a cold and ruthless tone, Claire Sullivan clenched her teeth and turned to the maid, "Maid, did you see how she’s behaving?"
"She doesn’t acknowledge me as her mother; should I acknowledge her as my daughter?"
